After getting my prescription from this place, they told me I needed bifocals, but when they gave me the prescription and only had one of my prescriptions on it so now I've ordered the wrong glasses like two or three times trying to figure out what's going on which I don't need a waste of money waste of time and when I try to call the office to speak to a manager, it's impossible to get anybody what ridiculousness is a doctor's office that you can actually not call clearly there's some mismanagement here and they don't care as long as the money keeps rolling in read more

Shame on Dr. Sinclair and WV Eye Consultants! I have been a patient here for many years. I recently noticed a scratch on one of my eye glasses lenses and went to Lens Crafters in the Huntington Mall to see if it could be buffed out or if I needed a new lens. Ended up I needed a new lens which they had in stock. Unfortunately, the one year period to use this RX expired in Nov. 23. They did say, however, that Dr's can "extend" the prescription and all they would need to do is fax the RX to them and I could come in and get the lenses replaced. I called WV Eye Consultants on 2 different occasions. I first spoke with Melissa and she said the RX had expired and I would need to have a new exam. I called again today, Feb. 13, 2024, and spoke with Crystal (pretty sure that was her name), thinking I would try again as I had not told them what Lens Crafters had told me, that the Dr. could "extend" the RX. I went through everything with Crystal, asking if Dr. Sinclair would do that, as I did not need a new RX, and was going to use the same frames I had. It was apparent she was not listening to what I was saying because she said, "well, if you had used the RX prior to November, it wouldn't have been a problem. Told her I DIDN'T NEED to use the RX prior to November as I just recently noticed there was a scratch on the lens!! She said I would have to have a new exam and get new glasses. Not sure how she knows I would need new glasses! Tried explaining to her that I felt my vision had not changed and I wasn't intending on getting new frames. She proceeds to tell me that she didn't think her vision had changed but it had. I told her I was 74 years old and felt I knew if my vision had changed. She proceeded to tell me she didn't think her RX had changed, but it had. She did not care and said again I would need a new exam. I am sorry WV Eye Consultants are in such dire financial straits that they need to try to force someone to pay for an exam, when they could do the right thing and extend my RX ! I got kicked out of my eye doctor that I've seen for years -- long story short, I have restrictive lung disease and have a very hard time wearing a stupid mask. The receptionist dude was a total butthole toward me and the two nurses he called to make sure I wore a mask cause heaven freaking forbid!!!! I don't mind them checking my temp and asking a bloody million questions about my health. That isn't what pissed me off. It was forcing me to wear a mask - didn't matter if I had trouble breathing because I-HAVE-A-LUNG-DISEASE (which most logical and kind people are understanding!!!). The only person that was nice to me was the male Ophthalmic Assistant and I appreciate him. I don't know your name, but thank you for being kind to me. I told them that I have a lung disease and they basically did not care, I would wear a mask period. end of story. They were very very rude to me. I said try telling that to someone with asthma and they can't breathe! Are you going to say sorry, but the mask stays on while they are gasping for air?! I told them THAT was pissing me off and the lady nurse said don't cuss at me and I said i'm not but it is pissing me off .. the longer we stand here the worse its getting. if you're gonna force me to wear a mask when I told you i have a lung disease cant you at least try to make this quick for me?! Look ya'll, I'm sorry but this mask crapola is beyond ridiculous to the insane level. I do try to wear a mask out of respect for people but if I can't breathe I take it off. It's that simple. There is absolutely nothing wrong with letting someone know hey, I got a lung disease and I might have to take this thing off cause I have a hard time breathing. Which is exactly what I did -- and to have them treat me the way they did and two nurses coming out and basically telling me they don't give a rats behind about my lung disease, what the heck man?! Don't you dare tell me, "well I wear one all day everyday yea okay sure whatever but DO YOU have a LUNG DISEASE?! This thing has been going on for MONTHS and I'm just fine. It has been blown up way out of proportion and to force a mask on someone who has a legitimate lung disease is just a real a hole thing to do them and then to kick them out of your office indefinitely?! I have had cataract surgery by Dr. Sinclair and also upper and lower lid surgery. He and his staff have been nothing but kind and considerate to me as I have had an unexpected setback not at their fault. He has personally called me numerous times and is researching and do all he can do. I appreciate and feel that they are protecting me from covid to the best of their ability. I suffer from asthma but I wear my mask and cough when I have to. I would not want anyone else caring for me at this time. read more
