I've seen many people transformed by going to Katie's Sat Weight Watchers morning meeting…read more Wonderful people who have lost over 100 # and living healthier, happier, more confident lives. These wonderful people crawl out of bed early most every Sat morning to come together to support one another, exchange ideas, provide and seek encouragement. Regular everyday folks from different places, different jobs, different walks of life, in many ages from teens and beyond coming together with similar goals. We try learn how to make small manageable changes, like drinking more water, in hopes of shedding some pounds, lowering cholesterol, getting up off the couch and out for a walk. Yes, Weight Watchers does charge a monthly free but tries to teach people healthier eating habits with the goal of hitting your "target goal weight". Once reaching your own target goal weight and maintaining the weight loss: the meetings and on line etools become FREE and you are now considered a Life Time Member. Its a journey as we call it. One day and one step at a time. The important numbers in my life have always gotten better when I've stayed on plan. Yes I love ice cream, I love coffee, I love coffee ice cream and for those who know me I'm an intense food addict and can suddenly find myself on another French Cruller or Shamrock Shake hunt. However, I know that I could be spending lots of money down the road for medication to "fix" my ailments so I bought the active link and am investing in my health to pay it forward and not pay for it later. I watched my dad suffer from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, gout, diabetes, a heart attack and many other things primarily because of his eating habits. I miss him dearly and am hopeful I can stay on track to live a healthier lifestyle. I really am thankful to Katie, Merle, Evelyn, Bill, Peter, Donna, Trish, Rob, Susan, Diedre who have all become such an inspiration to me.

I'm a fan of this Weight Watchers location…read more The regular meeting I attend is Tuesdays at 12:15 PM with Karen for a Leader. As a leader she's extremely motivating and the make up of the group includes a mix of professionals and older (possibly retired) women. For me, having a group that has some members in similar work situations as me is important, because they often share ideas that help me on with my own weight loss. Finding a meeting where you like the style of the leader and the make up of other group members is really important to your Weight Watchers weight loss journey. The other great thing about this location is, because it's a center, there are other meetings at 12:15 PM during the work week that I can attend if I have to miss my normal Tuesday meeting time. They also have hours where you can "drop in" to weight in, and buy products (if you'd like, not required) but not attend a meeting. The schedule of meetings and drop in hours at this location is available at http://www.weightwatchers.com/util/mtf/pricingWrapper.aspx?locationid=1043380&ref=pDrbqIY%2bJ27jQhkjKX0aOinl5Zn7lXVOHsfAkvl2aLzFUWb301HBOYp723JcUgJL5tylSPs0FZ27AcG2depxa6gT9cEzYP%2fS Weight Watchers centers have product available for sale as well, that are helpful for some members on their journey, but there is never a high pressure selling atmosphere from the receptionists (staff who weight you in). If a product seems like it will help you and you want to purchase it, great. But, unlike other weight loss programs, you don't have to buy the additional products to have weight loss success. Also, I highly recommend becoming a monthly pass member if you join. The downside is your credit card is billed automatically every month (or, that could be an upside if spending money motivates you to stick with Weight Watchers). The upside is that monthly pass members have access to lots of helpful online tools, called "eTools", at no additional cost. eTools includes online tracking, recipes, fitness tips, and community forums. It also includes mobile apps for tracking. You also can attend unlimited meetings as a monthly pass member, which is really helpful for the first few weeks when you join, to help you find the meeting that's the best fit for you. The Weight Watchers Points Plus program is very easy to follow, and I'm confidant that it will lead me to weight loss success.

I went there from November through early January, and not once did anyone mention a copay. If they had told me before my sessions, I would have paid it. Instead, they waited until I stopped going to hit me with a $154 charge. What if I had continued going? Would they have charged me $1,000 out of nowhere? This is beyond unprofessional. At any legitimate facility, the front desk ALWAYS informs clients about copays upfront. To make matters worse, their acupuncture specialist, Konstantin, was just as unprofessional. Every single time I came in, he asked me the same questions over and over--"Did we do warming last time?" "Have you ever had back pain or an accident?" From November through January, it was the same thing! How can a so-called specialist not remember his patients or their treatments? But the final straw for me was my last visit. Konstantin caused me severe pain when inserting the needles. It was extremely painful, and I immediately told him. His response? "Oh, that happens sometimes." No concern, no adjustments--just a shrug. And the pain didn't go away after the needles were in; it lasted the entire session, another 25 minutes of agony. I do not recommend this place. They only care about money, not their patients. Stay away!

Results are a definite! Carla gave me the tools to continue to thrive, and capitalize on the session independently, in between our appointments! I left feeling clear, confident, empowered, and relieved of any of the stressors which initially drew me in to schedule a session. As I said, I am amazed with the progress I've already experienced right away, after only one session. Speaking of leaving the session, Carla had mentioned during our appointment that I may see a sign as soon as I leave. I left and, en route to meet a friend near by, I actually missed my turn. Rerouting to find my way, I saw a very specific sign that was very relevant to the exact situation I came to Carla for assistance with! Needless to say, I am eager for my next appointment! And the friend I was going to meet? Of course, I recommended Hemisphere Hypnotherapy to her immediately.

(I should have known that the…read morecost would be high when I asked about the cost prior to scheduling an appointment, but did not receive a response that included pricing.) It works out to about $24-$30 a session, 3 sessions a week is the minimum, and the contracts are for a 3 month, 6 month, or 1 year membership - paid in full up front. The trainer for my info session was great, and I enjoyed an hour long work out - 30 minutes in circuit type weight training, and 30 minutes of cardio intervals on a treadmill. The trainer was very attentive and showed me how to do each exercise. The session only had 2 other women in it, so everyone got attention from the trainer. After the work out, I met with a staffer to discuss the Get In Shape program. In addition to the work out sessions, they also encourage their members to follow a nutrition plan they provide, which emphasizes eating 100 grams of protein a day. (The nutrition plan seemed similar to Weight Watchers Points Plus program to me, but the staffer was not happy when I made that comparison.) They also have nutrition coaching and check in sessions as part of your membership. The before & after photos on the wall of members are impressive. Despite their website saying you get a "free week trial". I only had the one session. If the cost were lower, I'd have joined up as a member.
