Local news at its best…read more SNN is 24hrs and most of those 24hrs is a loop of the same 30min news reports and weather updates with local advertising and infomercials in the mix. They went bankrupt for 3 months last year and it was a sad time for Sarasota. I love weatherguy Justin Mosley's shellacked hairdo à la 50's Doo-Wop groups. I sometimes wonder if it's actually a plastic piece that's pasted onto his head. Congrats!) way. But when things get unscripted, it comes out. I can understand being a public personality in a small gun-totting town like this, why you wouldn't want to be openly gay, but I wish America was a progressive place sometimes. Either way, I really like Justin. He's part of the Florida experience for me. Pretty much all the newscasters and weatherpeople at this station all hold Masters degrees in American Classic News Anchor Vocals. They could all go head-to-head with Ron Burgundy. Sadly most of the news is about crime and murders, even though this seems like a quiet and conservative town who didn't give their vote to Obama, despite him making it one of the final stops of his tour before the 2008 election. It really is baby-killer, after baby-killer sometimes. Which is ironic in a state that's highways are littered with billboards for preachy, fear-mongering, anti-abortionist, faux-pregnancy helplines.

I wouldn't mind her appearance if there was actually news presented. What is presented is never-ending infomercials for restaurants & bars, animal rescues (humane society, parrots and lizards). I haven't figured out if it's an additional revenue stream or allowing Jen too much latitude and control over programming. Good old Jen needs to get a haircut and get a more appropriate haircut and dress more appropriately for a person of her age. I would love to not have to switch to CBS when local "News" is on weekday mornings.
