The service took an age for the bare minimum the lad serving couldn't care less and literally threw out drinks on the table, for the amount we payed for one meal, having a polite server would've been nice. For a simple ham sandwich was £8 that's crazy in my opinion and for four meals came up to around £50. The value of the food wasn't great with small selection and food coming out cold or without key parts of the meal missing and repeatedly getting the order wrong. I could've made the same meal for less then half then what that came up to. The general value of the garden center wasn't great either with majority of the selection was something I've seen ten times before or too expensive to even afford to to look at after that meal! Waste of a trip in my opinion.

If you're spending the day in Burford, take the time to drive a few more minutes to stop by the Burford Garden Company. It is so much more than a plant store (though they do have plants a'plenty). There is an extensive selection of unique clothing items for both men and women--outerwear, fashion items, and footwear are all available. There is a wonderful selection of intriguing decor items from brightly colored candles to gorgeous pottery to beautiful furniture. There's a particularly wonderful Christmas department as well--I found a charming Advent calendar and the cutest little cards to go on Christmas gifts. There's an amazing tea shop at which you can find delicious food items (hot and cold, sweet and savory--you name it!). It was exactly what we needed for lunch. Don't miss the food shops, either--they have an extensive selection of chocolates from around the world, traditional cakes and cookies, and a liquor store with a highly respectable selection of gin. Plenty of parking is available, the service is wonderful, and there really is something for everyone.

Currently it has a cafe that sells dinks, cakes and snacks and it also has a restaurant that sells main meals and also has a carvery. We've eaten at both and they are fine, very nice handcut chips! but the manager of the restaurant could do with cheering up a bit. He seemed a bit sour - maybe he had an off day but that can permeate down to the staff. The ladies in the cafe bit are nice. Prices are reasonable all round too. There are very nice walks nearby so we often drive up to Clifford Chambers and have a walk then lunch or tea at this garden centre.

How about a whole new wardrobe, shoe collection, and walking gear? Yep -- check out the extensive and incredible selection of leather shoes, Edinburgh Woollen Mill range, and even furry hats. Whilst you're at it, feel free to pick up some of the most delectably scented candles, diffusers, and incense known to woman (and man) kind. Oh, sorry -- you just wanted to feed the ducks and grabbing a delicious Sunday lunch? I think I just found THE best carvery right here. Warning: the locals know about this hidden gem. It gets PACKED! I also love Yankee candles and I have now discovered I can combine these two things when I come here. A very nice place with lots of non garden things to buy as well as the usual spades and plant pots. A very good range of Yankee candles (Mr Datcat was not happy about this, but never mind eh) and on the left past the tills they have a range of foodstuffs including yummy cakes. We didn't go to the coffee shop though, but a quick smell and look over did tempt us, but we held out today. Next time though we might have to give in to the lure of coffee. Plenty of friendly staff around and on the tills. Parking is a plentiful so this place is recommended.

Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff in both the garden and aquarium centre. I can recommend the gardening bit as I have never grown any vegetables and with the advice from 1 of the staff this year managed to grow a bumper crop of tomatoes and lettuces in my kitchen window. They also have a pretty good stock of tropical fish and all the bits and pieces that you need to successfully run a tank. My mum also informs me that the outdoor pond bit is very good too.
