A massive garden centre located in atherstone. The centre has an outdoor shop next to it selling clothing and other hiking like gear. Although expensive it is quite nice. The garden centre itself is very large having loads of good stuff on sale. Outdoors plays host to cold water fish and the usual array of plants. Indoors sees tropical fish gardening equipment and pet toys along with seasonal gifts such as christmas trees, lights and decorations. They have a meat counter too for fresh meats and cheeses which is really nice! read more

This family run business has expanded dramatically since it re-opened ad Dobbies, it is one of the largest garden centres in the north east of Coventry. There is a large choice of plants, but it is manily the rest of the shop that creates the bulk of the trade. You can expect all sorts of gardening related wares, also pets and associated goods, presents of all kinds, toys, games etc. This must be the largest place locally for Christmas goodies in the area, and it is very busy when the season comes. There is a farm/food store on site with some nice selections of cheeses and meats behind the counter, also speciallity foods. In summer the site has a nature trail and maize maze for children as well as a petting corner. I find the goods in the garden centre a bit pricy but I enjoy going round occasionally on Sundays. read more

We also go to Dobbies just for a trip out, it's a nice big friendly place and has a great selection of items, not just plants and flowers. We are members of the Dobbies Gardening Club where you pay £10 a year and get 10% off full price plants, bulbs & seeds, reward points up to 4.5% on purchases and most importantly 2 free tea/coffee vouchers per month. The free tea/coffee vouchers are worth the £10 a year alone, we often visit just for a cup of coffee (OK and I have to have a piece of their excellent cake) read more

A great garden centre.Although its not in coventry its down the A444 past nuneaton. It has a large car park and a maze section for poeple to go round. Not only do they sell plants with a large outdoor area, they also sell many other items. From garden tools to gift ideas, its a great place to go. At present they have christmas stock in, including lots of decorations/trees and lights. there is also an outdoor shop located just next to the garden centre. This is expensive but has some nice items. Worth a trip! Takes anywhere between 15-30 min to get there from coventry. read more

I went to dobbies for afternoon tea with my family a few weeks ago. For the price I couldn't fault it. The staff were friendly and the resturant was set out lovely for the occasion. We was escorted to our table where we was given a drink option whilst we choose our food. We all had coffee and once chosen we decided on salmon and cream cheese. sandwiches. You get three small Sandwhich fingers each in the 2 for 15 pound deal we had. This was plenty as they followed with a scone each with strawberry jam and cream. You also get chocolate covered strawberries each and a selection of cakes. We had to take the cakes home as we was so full from the scones and sandwiches! For the price and location I highly recommend this garden centre for a nice afternoon out! read more

My wife and I always like popping into Dobbies around the spring/summer time to get the garden tided up. As we wander we like popping into the restaurant for a cream tea. Always good quality and very pleasant atmosphere. read more

Not just a good garden centre, but a nice trip out too. Sells a wide range of plants, more so than most nurseries, and has a massive inside area selling all sorts of gifts, garden equipment and other fun items. A big pull for me was the food shop, where they sell some organic foods, farm vegetables, and unusual meats such as ostrich or buffalo. There is a monkey maze and other fun things to do, and everything is a fairly good price. read more

We went to the breakfast with Santa today with my 7 year old. It was absolutly Fantastic. I would recomend it to anybody with children. It was £8 a child and £4.99 an adult. When we got there it was all decorated lovely, we were shown to our reserved table and in came santa HOHOHOING! the kids were in their glee. There was about 10 tables around 15 kids, it was a full breakfast for adults and a hot breakfast for the kids, then a colouring compatition to keep them entertained whilst everyone finished. Then it was a game of pass the parcel for all the children who got a choc santa! Then back to your table to finish the colour sheet off, then Santa calles every child by name to give them a prezie. It was fantastic every child was in their glee. Santa was willing to pose for photos, he was singing along to the christmas songs in the back ground. The presents were brilliant and the kids got a goodie bag. I just dont know how they do it for the money! I would recomend it to anyone. Well done to the staff they were fantastic on service and with the children. When you have finished the meal. there is a huge shop with pets in to look around. Brilliant place. read more
