Honestly, the whole staff is wonderful! The women at the front desk are always so friendly and helpful. But... Brandon, what a special human being! I absolutely adore him! Whenever I wanted a new piercing he's the one I would go to, if I needed a jewelry change for my dermals he'd always say "I got you girl". His whole way about him with each client is so personable and heartfelt. He takes his time with everyone and talks to them, it can definitely take awhile, lol but I know I will get that same amount of time and compassion. So I never minded! I have never met such a bright person like Brandon. He is just so special and I am so happy for his next adventure but I am going to miss him like crazy!!! Got a piercing done by Dana here a little while ago. Unfortunately the jewelry was not screwed on tight enough and the stud ended up coming off. I thought it would be best to go back to the shop to get it replaced. I went in, explained the situation and I was told because they are doing a piercing promo they could not do anything today. I again explained I originally got the piercing done here, the jewelry is in, I just need the stud replaced because I don't want to go to sleep and it get pushed further in. I was told "Im sorry. There is nothing I can do today because the room is occupied." I have multiple piercings in my ear done by different artists, this is the only one to come undone. For a business to turn away a returning customer who is coming back with a concern from previous work is truly poor business practice. And I cant imagine how they handle bigger issues/concerns. I went for a walk in tattoo with my friends. We got such a simple tattoo of an outline of a diamond. It took about an hour for us to meet with the artist (which was fine since we walked in). The artist seemed very out of it, his eyes were tired, and very red. Me and my friends agreed he seemed very out of it or just very tired. We showed him the reference photo and agreed on $60, which I also thought was pricey for the tattoo we were asking for. Afterwards he did not allow me to see the result, so I left and tipped him as well. Coming home and seeing this was the result of my tattoo... I will not be coming back here again. And I do not suggest for anyone to use this artist - Arlen Below I have attached the photos of my tattoo and my friends. Overall we're all very upset about this. I would not recommend Wyld Chyld tattoo they are unprofessional after a consultation for a cover up tattoo, two weeks latter when I showed up for my appointment their so called best artist claimed that he was not comfortable doing my tattoo because I stated that I understood the science of geometry and use of color! Also you cannot cover a straight line with a circle I was told I was expecting too much. I've had WORK done there in the past without issue, no other staff member offered a solution or stated they could do a cover up!! I went here on Sunday 10/1 for a piercing jewelry change. I didn't get the piercer's name because she was extremely rude and never introduced herself. She is located next to the tattoo shop on the left. When I walked in she was in the process of changing out another woman's jewelry. It took 20 minutes to change out this jewelry. I've never seen or heard of any jewelry change taking that long, regardless of what piercing it is. Once she was done, the piercer (she looked Hispanic, with brown hair and brown eyes) asked me what I was having done. I told her I would like to switch out my nose stud for a hoop I had already purchased. She had an attitude throughout this entire process. I told her I would like her to sanitize the jewelry and by that I meant just with alcohol. She assumed I meant using a sanitizing machine? I didn't even know that exists. She ultimately kept complaining about how this particular hoop didn't "click" together so she wasn't sure how to put it in properly. To be honest, I got the impression she just didn't want to do it for me. The only reason I didn't go to my normal piercer at Tattoo Ritual in Farmingdale is because they are closed Sundays. This woman was unprofessional, rude, and seemed highly inexperienced. I will never come here again. I highly recommend Tattoo Ritual for all of your piercing and tattoo needs! read more

I came in around 9:00ish on a Friday night to get a tattoo. It appeared crowded but I didn't wait long at all to be set up with an artist. I got my dog's paw print with a quote as my tattoo. It's how I wanted to remember him. Chris did my tattoo and did a fantastic job. He made sure I was happy with the placement and how it looked on my ankle before starting to tattoo me. He made sure I was comfortable in the chair while he has tattooing my ankle. He made great small talk as he was tattooing, and before I knew it, he was done. I'm in love with my tattoo and now a piece of my dog with always be with me. After getting a tattoo I had to see the piercer, Dan. I wasn't getting a piercing, but I lost a bead from one of my piercings. I just needed to buy a bead and have it put on. Dan took the time to find the right sized bead and put it on for me. He also suggested I use coconut oil on my piercings to clear up and prevent dry skin that appears. I did what he suggested and it is working! The shop is very clean inside. The shop is very well run and organized. It's not chaotic. I highly recommend this shop for all your tattoo and piercing needs and wants. read more

Man oh man, was I pissed about my tattoo. So I normally have a regular artist in a upstanding tattoo shop with fabulous reviews, but I wanted a small tribute tattoo to my grandparents that I figured could be done last minute else where. BOY WAS I WRONG. Laura did my tattoo, and she was such a sweetheart until she completely denied her blatant mistake on my tattoo. I waited for awhile which was totally fine considering I was a walk-in. While I was waiting, the piercer was confronted by a client who didn't have ID, but was asking to get pierced anyways, and he just agreed to it. Super sketch and gave me a bad feeling about the place, but they already took my money in advance so I felt obligated to see the tattoo through. That was also super weird. I've never been to a tattoo appointment where they make you pay for the tattoo in its entirety in advance. But after seeing what Laura did to my wrist, it totally makes sense why they do that. I got my grandmothers handwriting tattooed on my wrist. And essentially, Laura fucked up the lettering on the L. I'll be attaching a photo so you can see. So to fix her mistake, she dug into the black line with white, and has now what I believe to have created a permanent scar in my skin. It looks as if I was cut with a knife in this area. Upon realizing she had made a mistake, I confronted her about it, and she claimed that it was just a highlight and it would heal white. The most upsetting part was that she wouldn't own up to her mistake, and tried to play it off like what she did was intentional. She was right. I dont have a black line where that fuck up was. But I do have a noticeable scar that'll probably stay there for years, if not forever. Spend the extra money and go to a reputable place. read more

I have gotten great tattoos at Wyld Chyld before and liked going for walk-in's for smaller, simple tattoos but at my most recently visit they did part of my tattoo completely wrong, so I will not be returning in the future. They have done nothing about the situation, not even offer an apology for not giving me what I asked for, so I do not plan on going back. The only thing they offered me is to go over the white that he added (that I didn't ask for & was not in the photo that I showed, the requested design was all black ink so I don't get where the guy tattooing me got the idea to add white from) with black when I told the woman at the front desk that I didn't like it upon leaving. They didn't seem to get that they did a totally different design rather than just only different colors. If they said they were changing the design, I would have opposed it. I emailed them after again as I got more upset as more time went by and basically explained all of this, they said I could come back in again to discuss possible resolutions but since I live in NYC & got the tattoo visiting that would be such a hassle to return to talk when we could talk over the phone or via email. I replied saying that I was unsure when I would be able to come back in and that I didn't want to come back in just to talk also that I don't see a way they can fix it, as they can't undo the wrong design, and that I wanted a refund - then they stopped answering me. They make sure you pay up front before the tattoo, which no other shop I have been to before asked of me, and I now can see why. if I didn't pay before hand I would have refused to pay for this tattoo, mostly because of how I was treated since they didn't care that I was upset. Other people have commented this as well. I don't get what sprung upon them to think that it's okay to just change up the design that without even saying anything. There's no changing it now, I would have preferred the other design of sparkles & thought it would grow on me but it has not so I am just upset that I now have this tattoo that I was initially excited to get but now do not fully like. I would just make sure that if you have designs in mind to make it crystal clear that's what you want and to not switch it up. read more

I used to come here frequently back in the day but recently they've turned into sh-t. I recently got a tattoo here, found out with 30 mins left of my 4 hour tattoo that the artist was high on drugs. I have pics of proof. I had no idea until it was too late. My tattoo is fucked i have BAD and noticeable scarring under the ink. It's SUPPOSED TO BE a symmetrical tattoo. It's not. There are lines that overlap where they shouldn't, lines that don't connect where they should. I refuse to come back to have him fix it. I'd rather go to a responsible shop. I suspect the Instagram page is bullshit stolen pics of other tattooists work because what I left with and the level of "talent" advertised it not adding up. read more

I went with my friend to get my tongue pierced and she got her nipples pierced when we came in at the front desk their attitude was fine it was a mixture of relaxed and a little bit of don't really care (there was zero wait time but I think it was because it was a Tuesday morning/afternoon) we had to sign a consent form and the tongue piercing was $60 also I'm assuming they use square to receive payment because they charge a 4% fee so you have to pay cash if you don't wanna pay for the fee also heads up if you have Chase bank Chase charges you $3 if you use a non-Chase ATM after we paid we had to leave the store to enter where you get piercings because they're not connected with an entrance even though they're right next to each other doesn't really make sense but it's not my store I got my tongue pierced by Brandon he was very knowledgeable super nice,clean and understanding (I did like how he had an aftercare pamphlet with the type of piercing I got done and the length and when I can come back to get it downsized) the only issue is that he pierced me laying down and even though I thought it was weird I didn't say anything because I'm not a professional piercer even though I have 15 piercings and this was the first time I've ever been pierced laying down but everyone Pierce is different at first it didn't feel wrong it felt normal and it felt centered but as my swelling went down I noticed my family members notice and even my coworkers noticed that my tongue piercing was slightly off centered and crooked I had to take an Uber to get there and to go back so I decided to contact him through DM to see if there's anyway to fix this issue first he told me that was swollen tongue piercings do look slightly off-center and crooked but it just wasn't feeling right especially in my mouth I then DM him again after I went to a different piercer for a second opinion He told me that wyld chyld does not give refunds (he said that the policy was at the bottom of the form I signed but no one pointed it out to me before I signed the form I wish they did so I could of at least read it) he said I can take it out try it again or go to the other piercer that I got a second opinion from I ended up wasting $63 plus the Uber fare to get a tongue piercing and go home, a waste of pain and the waste of me not being able to eat properly and basically starving myself because I was afraid of getting my tongue infected so if you're fine with getting pierced laying down on your back then this is a place for you (also for life of me, me and my friend cannot remember if he used tongs but I'm going to assume he did because it would be very difficult to pierce someone especially a tongue piercing without tongs) read more

Absolutely terrible. Got this tattoo done by Alder and he didn't follow the stencil one bit. He was not friendly at all and was VERY heavy handed. As you can see, the Ts are not in line and the P and Rs are all different (some have tails some don't). The Y and O in your was also not done well and faded after 3 weeks. After this I went back to get it touched up and was very uncomfortable to go to him again because of his bad work he did on me already but the shop insisted. He said he would go over the whole thing and I got more uncomfortable as there was a chance it would be overly thick or he would mess up again. After all he fixed it but I am still not happy at all with my bad experience and all the bad reviews I have heard after this as well. Back in November my friends and I came here for our first tattoos. Me and one friend were assigned to Mish, and he did a fantastic job. He had the Great British Bakeoff playing on tv the whole time which made for a very calming environment. My other friend had a piece with her zodiac sign and some flowers done by the junior artist, Rachel. Rachel was the perfect artist for my friend. My friend has a really low pain tolerance, fear of needles, and is overall a very anxious person. Rachel was super sweet. She started off doing a tiny bit then stopping so my friend could get a feel of what it was about to feel like. She also had a small stuffed animal she allowed my friend to hold and squeeze while being tattooed. Rachel did a very good job of creating a welcoming and safe-feeling environment. We all left with beautiful pieces and we're so so happy with them! I especially wanted to leave this review talking about Rachel's service as she is still a junior artist. She's a great artist so definitely don't underestimate her just because she hasn't been tattooing as long as some of the other artists! read more

My friends and I decided to come here bc they were having $13 Friday the 13th tattoos. We could barely make it in the door when we got there. The girls at the counter were very nice and gave us rain checks to come back the following Friday. When we came back that Friday around 3 they each us clip boards checked our IDs and we all paid up front. While we waited for them to get our rooms set up my friends and I had so much fun there! One place quoted me 3x the price because they didn't know what they were doing. Luckily found this shop on yelp and that was the first one he did for me. He has also done my Statue of Liberty arm. I had gotten my tongue pierced here and I asked the piercer to use clamps she told me straight up no because she has been piercing without them for 14 years which put me off but stupid me I still went through with it and as she was looking at my tongue she told me I was tongue-tied but still proceeded to pierce my tongue and after I got it done I had the worse pain from my chin going up into my ear/ head area about 10 min after. The next morning I still had no swelling but I still had sever pain So I called the shop to ask if I could speak to the piercing and the guy on the phone told me no because they are having a fundraiser not very professional- if you are tongue tied or have a very large wedding personally don't get your tongue pierced read more

Brandon is the sweetest piercer he is truly so sweet and nice to talk to. I had gotten my rook and conch jewelry changed out and I'm very happy with them & their selection. So much cheaper than the place a few blocks away- I spent hundreds getting piercings when here i only have to spend 10 dollars. I also much prefer to lie down for piercings and here you can (More comfy and i feel more secure)! Was heavily recommended to this place by a co-worker who's gotten all of her tattoos done there. Saddened when I stopped by to discover that they are very unwelcoming and unhelpful. I'm spoiled by my other tattoo spot, Lark Tattoos. They are super welcoming, recommend artists, etc. When I got to Wyld Chyld, two of the employees were talking it up and I immediately felt awkward to have to keep interrupting their conversation to ask questions. I drove 20 mins and wasted gas to essentially not get an appointment, but be told to come back another day as a walk-in. I hate doing walk-ins; I don't like waiting around indefinitely or being rushed out. They really weren't friendly at all and clearly were pushing me right out the store. Yeah, great first impression. This is my go to for tattoos! I got my first tattoo here 3 years ago by an artist that no longer works here, but since then I've also gotten 3 more incredible tattoos at this location. All of my tattoos have been done by different artists since I've always gone as a walk in. I've had an incredible experience every time I've been here! Even if I had a longer wait the artists were always really friendly and welcoming. Chris is so nice and always says hi to me with a smile! Even when I'm with another artist!
