Seating for our show wasn't numbered. It looks like the seating arrangements can be moved around depending on the production. It's a small theatre, so sound wasn't an issue and great views all around. We were front centre, so we had a brilliant experience. There's a bar downstairs and they have washrooms. (Didn't use either) A word of warning, if your show ends late (10:15 on a Friday night), there's no place in walking distance to grab dinner later. So plan accordingly.

Uninspiring to look at from the outside, the inside, too, holds back on the glitz and glamour. A couple of soulless corridors link the box office to the bar and the auditorium. The Bridewell doesn't put on large scale productions, it's a small theatre largely used for am-dram performances and the shows of small theatre groups. The auditorium seats around 130 and is quite adaptable. Depending on what performance is being staged at the time the setup is versatile, the seating can be changed and moved around so as the "stage" can be more easily manipulated and configured to suit the director's desires. The problem with this performance space is that the stage/seating areas are separated from the 'backstage' area by curtains only. This means you'll often hear the theatre staff and stagehands shuffling about and working away. Not dreadful but still a distraction. The bar is downstairs and isn't altogether impressive. The air in the bar has a feel and smell to it as that of a damp, concrete storage basement - which is exactly what it is/was. Other events are held down here and a small number of artworks from numerous small-scale temporary exhibits are displayed too. As well as some larger agricultural equipment/furniture. I imagine this is because there just isn't anywhere else to put it, though. All in all, the Bridewell Theatre probably won't impress you but it's theatre's like this that are necessary for grassroots production and, depending on the particular production you see, of course, I'm sure you will find some enjoyment from your visit. We contacted the Peacock Theatre to explain our utter disapointment with 'agents' of their company who they allow to sell tickets on their behalf. The response from the Peacock Thearte was 'we are sorry but there is nothing we can do'. ADVCE: Other than stop companies like Theatre Tickets Direct selling tickets to your shows might be something you could consider? Whilst we are going to watch the show, we will never attend the Peacock Thearte again. It is rather ironic that the Theartes here in London have been pleading for Government funding to help them survive the pandemic, and then allow companies like Theatre Tickets Direct sell their shows and treat consumers unfairly in their name. HERE BELOW IS OUR THEARTE TICKETS DIRECT REVIEW ON GOOGLE AND TRUSTPILOT BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND BEFORE YOU EVEN CONSIDER USING THEM CHECK THEIR ONE STAR REVIEWS. So, my Wife tried to book two tickets for Saturday Night Fever at the Peacock Thearte for the performance on the evening of the 20 February 2022. Upon visiting their site she notice a block of three front row seats available so she proceeded to book two of the three seats available. She booked one of the two seats but when she tried to book the seat next to the one she had booked she found that system was not letting her do so. Frustrated with this she when out of the booking system and refreshed her browser. Upon going back into the booking system she clicked on the first seat she had booked it and was not showing as available any longer. She then thought well that seat has now gone and successfully booked the other two remaining seats. She went to the secure checkout and paid for the tickets. Within minutes of making the booking she received notification from her bank that Thearte Tickets Direct had debited the cost of all three tickets from her account. She immediately emailed Thearte Tickets Direct advising them of the error within tens minutes of receiving the notification of debit from her bank. She received a very abrupt email the next day from a Nandeep Vyas advising that it was now 'impossible' to issue a refund for the third ticket even though it was probably a glitch in their booking system. We have perused the one star reviews here and would tend to agree with the consensus of opinion expressed therein that the customer service is appalling and that they are potentially scamming consumers. We are consumer lawyers and we will not let this matter rest. We fully intend to drag the matter through the Small Claims Court for a princely sum of £35 to issue on these people, and have them explain their T&Cs to the court is well worth it, and we will publish the outcome here, win or lose. We have also written to the Chief Executive of the Peacock Theatre outlining our dissapointment in the way in which this company represent the theatres who allow them to sell tickets for their shows on their behalf.

A very centrally located and super comfortable theatre. It feels more like a plush cinema hall than…read morethe regular London theatres (live productions) Comfortable seats, with good cushioning and gasp! Plenty of leg room! We were down in the stalls and there are no pillars or other such construction in the middle of the hall, so none of the seats were "restricted view" I'd bought discounted tickets on Time Out and that is always a risk, since you do not know until you've picked up your tickets in the day of the show, what seats are going to be allocated to you. But at the Peacock, that risk is minimised - due to the afore mentioned absence of "restricted view" seats. Temperatures were comfortable throughout. There were cafeterias on both floors (stalls and circle), but we had just had dinner before the show, so we didn't brave the crowds milling around to check it out. They do have a lift for the disabled to use, so access is not an issue, even though the elevator is very slow. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think they have some kind of tie-up with Sadler Wells as they seem to have a lot of their shows coming up.

The Almeida is one of the best producing theatres in London. Some of their shows go to the West End…read moreand Broadway. They champion new work as well as bringing fresh perspectives to revivals. The space is very flexible and can be a proscenium, of thrust, or even in the round, whatever is best for that particular play. They don't shy away from controversial plays and musicals, so this is the place to go if you want to be challenged as well as entertained. Tip: When you book seats downstairs it may say restricted view. That's because this is an old venue with poles holding up the balcony. As you can see in the picture there small and in my experience they don't really get in the way. If that bothers you the seats upstairs are excellent.

It was exciting to see that the Almeida is still going strong, and perhaps entering an even more…read moreadventurous phase, when I returned here during a recent re-visit to London. I attended the theatre several times between 2004 and 2007, and the plays offered strong casts (Eileen Atkins and Imelda Staunton were probably the most notable names I saw live) but not especially challenging dramatic fare. This time around in early 2015, the theatre had been transformed into a would-be video game arcade for Mike Bartlett's provocative new play "Game". The audience was seated on specially constructed benches in a square area around the main "stage" (totally reconfigured into a would-be private living room) and voyeuristically urged to follow the plot of the show, which alternated between onstage and a live video feed that was broadcast simultaneously from different areas of the seats. This performance also pushed the boundaries of more traditional theatregoing in that it was offered twice in one night - a great way for the theatre to make some extra money and for the actors and technical staff to flex their muscles. It's clear that other recent Almeida productions have been more dramatically adventurous. Looking forward to keeping an eye on their future output!

We have been several times to the Noel Coward Theater. It is in the Leicester Square theatre…read moredistrict and easy to find. The Importance of being Ernest was playing so we decided to see it. The theater is a classic British style. Several floors, bar areas and hard to find toilets. Corridors are narrow and you have to be able to climb stairs to get to most seats.Most seats offer a good view of the stage. My only disappointment was that they ran out of my preferred flavor of ice-cream at intermission!

Overall not a dealbreaker if there's a show that you want to see that's being held here (for me I watched The Comedy About Spies; fantastic show), but wouldn't say that you would be optimally comfortable while watching the show.

Its a great little theatre...the guys kept the queue moving and once inside it was easy to find loos, bars and seats...they did insist no glasses on the front row, plastic only - pretty sensible one would say. A great view from up there - probably the best seats, though frankly, I'm reckon you would get a good view from almost anywhere - the online chart showing seating available helps immensely when deciding It was a fantastic evening...yes, there were a few kids, but this was really one for the parents...you could tell with the exuberant not to say loud, contribution from the audience - everyone there was ready to participate, given the slightest chance This is a FUN evening with all the cast in good form, some excelling and I don't just mean the 2 leads. A few political asides, a few risque moments but basically it was a show to savour. The 3 musicians in the boxes were good too. It was probably a good thing they didn't invite anyone on the stage For me, the best performance came from Oscar Conlon-Morrey who literally threw himself into the part as Jack, the son. The Sunday night open mic nights are really sweet. The place is run by '70's rocker couple Leonie and Godfry, who are really warm and welcoming and make the place a total local gem!

It opened in 1930, and has a history of hosting a variety of performances, from musicals to revues. One of the larger theaters it can easily accommodate some of the bigger productions.

This production is outstanding! We saw Back to the Future, Cabaret and Crazy for You this trip. I can't compare the three since all of them are completely different but I highly recommend this show for something fun and casual. You will not be disappointed. This is also a very family friendly show, the kids in the theatre seemed to enjoy it even if they aren't an 80s baby like me :) Very fun time! Can't ever do theatre in London without ice-cream at intermission, it's mandatory for me. This theatre doesn't have vegan options as our Cabaret production did but I'm consistently on mint chip as a little intermission refresher. If you get tix and haven't seen the movie in awhile I think it'd be fun to watch it first. I didn't have a clue about the movie since it's been forever since I've seen it, but still had a blast - so many laughs and so enjoyable.

The main thing is that there seemed to be plenty of leg room, which is a problem in a lot of Broadway theaters. One interesting note is that there isn't a center aisle. We had seats close to the middle so had to walk past a lot of people/seats to get where we were going, but the seats were great. Getting in and out was very quick and well organized. Kudos to the staff here for having a clean, efficient and fun theater. And I also recommend "Back to the Future"....it's a great show.
