Register and submit the $33 registration fee online. Yes, absolutely we wanted to check our tax returns. I'm skeptical that anyone can do a complete stranger's taxes accurately in a one hour consult, and I need to be comfortable with the work before I trust someone with something as important as this. As it turns out, Mr Edwards did not fill out Form 8949 for Schedule D capital gains and loss transactions resulting in about ~$900 in additional tax owed. Maybe an honest mistake, but I'm glad we checked. Rest assured that I did not submit my taxes with your name on them. I don't know why you would even suggest that. Your integrity is called into question when you charge more than the initial estimate. Sure we asked a few questions, but we were looking to understand to make sure our taxes were done right and to assure ourselves we were in good hands. I still don't understand why this is a problem. I would have gladly paid your estimated fee for the hour of your time if you had just answered questions. Clearly there was a misunderstanding regarding the "free consultation" (which is still advertised on your website by the way). I wouldn't have felt the need to go on yelp to review your business if you hadn't jacked up the price by $50 on the spot. I'm sure your business will do fine without me, but I hope you spend more time and care on other client's taxes than you did on mine. There are other companies out there that will spend more than an hour with you to make sure you get every penny out of your returns.
