Nothing stands out. Apparently it's an uber hip franchise from America so maybe that's why everyone is shitting bricks over it. I was surprised it wasn't on Yelp actually because there seems to be such a freaking hoo-ha about it. Yes, there are lots of flavours, yes they change weekly or daily or whatever. Yes you pay by the ounce (WE DON'T USE OUNCES HERE YOU ARE IN AUSTRALIA!). Yes, it's hip and funky, or will be for about 5 mins. It's no different from Moochi, Wow Cow or any other stupidly named fro yo bar's there are out there. Just to let you know I had a bit of coffee flavoured, coconut flavoured, chocolate flavoured, and red velvet cake mix flavoured. Meh. I just have this image that in about 6 months time we will be over frozen yoghurt and we'll see signs half hanging off shop fronts, people with bright pink aprons roaming the streets with vacant expressions, cup upon cup with those funkalicious designs scattered about abandoned train stations.....Perhaps it will join the dessert fad brotherhood - the humble but forgotten macaron, the overhyped cake pop and countless other food slaves to food fashion.

Deliciously tasty and not too filling as it came out with only 1 piece of toast. The cappuccino came out in a big mug! Good caffeine to get your morning started. Staff was friendly and they have pumping music at 10am! Which is definitely different to other cafes ive been to. Prices are pretty standard for the area, around $20-25 per person. Make no mistake, there will be kids so don't go here if you're the cantankerous type. There is a little reading corner, shelves of toys for your kids to pester you into buying and clothes so cute they'll make you want to reproduce.

A little over espressed (and thus a little burnt and bitter), but seriously just a tad (don't forget, I really am a picky bastard). I don't recall having drunk Di Gabriel coffee before, but it was enjoyable. Getting back to the primary focus of this cafe, mums with kids, I am sure they would be happy this cafe uses a range of loose leaf T2 tea. And for the kids, the babychinos expressly come with marshmellows (which more cafes should really do! Some places charge $2 for a small glass of milk!!). Everyone coming in seems to be on a first name basis with Scott, who does a great job on the old espresso machine. The cafe has the same laid back feel Scott brings, with a backing track of smooth jazz. The bakery has come under fire from the establishment of competitors Michel's Patisserie in recent times, but still remains popular with Belrose locals for a good reason. The range of food produced in this tiny little shop is astonishing - croissants, pies, tarts, brioche, sausage rolls and of course bread crowd the small shop. The service can be rushed and abrupt, but the vast range of yummy food on offer makes up for it. For less than $5, you can have yourself a whole range of carb-filled lunches. Happy days!
