I am deeply saddened by the outcome of the photos provided by this company. We were initially promised a specific photographer, 'Josh,' based on his recommended portfolio. However, only one week before our wedding, we were assigned 'Anel,' whose work we had never seen. On our wedding day, the level of professionalism and quality of work was unacceptable: Lack of direction: There was little to no guidance on posing or lighting. The photographer made comments like, 'What was that?' or 'What's that face?' instead of providing constructive direction. Poor Technical Execution: Many family photos feature heavy, unflattering shade cast across faces. Across the entire collection, there is only one usable, direct shot of my husband and me facing the camera. Absenteeism: During the cocktail hour, which we hired the photographer to cover, the photographer was found sitting in the dressing room instead of actively taking candid photos of our guests. I actually had to seek out the photographer to initiate coverage of the event. Frankly, the final delivered collection lacked the quality and professional execution we would expect from a paid vendor. It felt like paying a friend to snap photos, not a professional with an understanding of lighting and composition. A further point of concern: not a single photo from our wedding has ever been featured on the company's website or social media. We anticipated a high level of work based on the company's advertised portfolio, and what we received fell far short of that professional standard.

It made me feel very safe and comfortable. She had me get in my first outfit and pointed out things I never would have thought of like deodorant on my underarms. She gave clear direction on posing and made the whole process so much fun. I forgot I was there for a photoshoot. It seemed effortless for her. She took time after my shoot to answer any questions I had about the next steps in the process. After the shoot I got the edited photos 3 days later which is a crazy turn around time. The album came with very clear instructions on how to view and select photos or packages for purchase. I was also given multiple reminders to make my selections before the cut off time which my ADHD brain really appreciated. I checked if they were touring again and when I saw a session two days before my birthday, I took it as a sign from the universe that I needed to book another one. Be rude not to! Stacey was amazing the first time, and I looked forward to see if I worked with her again or if it would be one of the other two amazing ladies at Bad Kitty. I've been a…read moreclient of Chasing Daylight Photography since 2018, and we've been getting photos with Kate every year since. Although we mostly do annual mini sessions, we've had Kate do full family sessions with wiggly twin babies, and a wigglier grandad who is impossible to get to look at the camera, it's probably harder to get him to look at the camera but Kate will get your shot. Kate has the most infectious personality, and she keeps my son locked in for the mini sessions, which are perfect for kids. Her newborn sessions were perfect for my tastes and I wanted sweet pictures without weird swaddling, composite photos and strange props. Kate knows how to pose life without looking posed (if that makes sense). She was even good at navigating a few tricky family moments with composure and humor. I recently was able to get some pictures for a headshot session and I really loved the results. Her results are always great without a bunch of fussy equipment, the locations are fun, her pricing is fair and her propensity to book up immediately shows you why she's so popular!
