Funny, witty, and the magic was great at times breath taking. Xavier packs in constant acts that are all deserving of a more expensive ticket and larger theater. 2 times during the act left me wide eyed trying to figure out how he was doing these amazing feats. But the magician works himself silly to entertain and makes you feel the room is filled by thousands I have seen him on Penn and Tellers Fool me, and America's got Talent so I took a chance. Definitely not the best or worst magic show I have been to. A few of his magic tricks I was able to see exactly how it was done. A few times his jacket would open up and you could see the different things sitting there. The one trick that was cool was the jump rope in mid-air. I still can't figure that one out. read more

We loved this show! Xavier's show is family friendly in an intimate setting. I recommend getting in line a bit early for General Admission as it is first come first seated but really all the seats are close. Truly talented, Xavier keeps you entertained from start to finish. I brought my kids to Vegas to experience the lights and glitter and during that time, take them to see some shows that wouldn't break my budget. So, I purchased the tickets from Groupon and thought my kids would enjoy a magic show. It was my daughter's 9th birthday and she was really excited to see a magician. I have to agree that this was not the greatest show and quite disappointed on paying $100 for a family of 4. You can see certain tricks being done, and personally, my husband, older daughter and myself were just bored. I gave it 2 stars because my youngest enjoyed it a bit. It wasn't a mind blowing experience for her but rather, eh, it was ok. The room was extremely small and the way the chairs were positioned were not the greatest. If you're not sitting in the front center or even on the front row of the site aisle (where GA admission would sit), it's not a great view. Overall, I would suggest a different show or save your money. read more

Xavier Mortimer transported us to a magical world through his immaculate craftsmanship and storytelling. His magics are definitely spectacular, and even sitting literally two foot away from the stage, you won't be able to spot how the tricks were done. But, more so what touched me and made this show so remarkable is his depiction of a dream--a love story. He felt like a familiar guy next door--grew up loving magic from his elementary school days, fell in love with a girl, moved to Vegas, worked in Cirque's shows, and then finally started his own. I've seen Xavier perform individual pieces in the past, but I was skeptical about how he would put it together for a full length headlining stage show. The narrative couldn't be a better fit to create a sense of continuity between acts. Down to the last detail you're being entertained, from how he introduces the props, characters, and scenes to the incredible range of real skill he has as a performer. This isn't just a magical show, it's also a show of Xavier's range of other entertaining skills: from music to juggling and dancing, along with the magic the show never misses a beat. It's a show in its beginning and the theater isn't the best fit, but I can't help but feel that this show deserves a much larger space and audience in the near future. There are small kinks that may need some work so I feel like this theater space is appropriate until the show has been perfected. There are lines and props that come across a bit cheesy, but the overwhelming charm and culmination of skills in play make any criticisms feel like reaching, maybe nitpicking. I booked this show because of the great reviews, I was fooled. It was my son's 21st birthday and I wanted him to see a "true Vegas Show", what a disappointment. I paid a lot of money for the VIP seats and wish we would have seen something else. Like others we saw the wires and him getting things out of his jacket. I feel bad because you can tell he is truly trying very hard to entertain. This show would probably be great for 10 and under but definitely not for adults. We were truly board and waiting for the show to end. Also the price of the drinks, 1 beer, a water, and soda $18. I know drinks are expensive in Vegas but come on.. Hate writing a bad review, but don't want others to spend the money and time ( both usally limited in while your in Vegas) and be disappointed. read more

I watched many shows in Vegas and Xavier is my top favorite show to watch. I was a magic club member in college and I knew so many tricks he performed are difficult. My friends and I went to The Strat Casino for Saturday night out on 10/9/2021. Even though we had a great time with the ride(Insanity only, didn't have time for Big Shot and X-Scream) on the top of The Strat Observation Deck, we had more fun time with Xavier Mortimer, The Dream Maker, magic show. It's a family friendly(Great for both adults and children) magic show but it's more than just performing magic, I would say. I wouldn't spoil too much for the future show goers but Xavier Mortimer is also famous in Youtube video(I didn't know until I watch the real show). There were a lot of chances that the audiences could participate to his actual performance. Xavier Mortimer and Allie Sparks(Belle in the show)  are very sincere and friendly. I had a picture with them after the show and had a chance to talk to them little bit. The show is very affordable as well as drinks at the theatre bar. I recommend this show to anybody who hasn't watched it yet. read more

Xavier is a very talented magician and entertainer. The magic was fast paced with a lot going on. Comedy, physical effects, lighting, audience participation - this show has it all. The performance was amazing and the story flowed nicely between the various illusions. His assistant, Belle, added a lot to the show without distracting from the main story and pace. My wife and kids were spellbound throughout the show with amazing tricks, comedy, and a beautiful story. Really entertaining magic + variety show suitable for all ages. The show has an actual story line (magician trying to win over his elusive dream girl). Xavier did his "mirror" illusion that he used to fool Penn & Teller on their TV show, and also his "impossible flying shopping cart" Youtube trick to prove it wasn't just video editing or staged. He really involves a bunch of the audience, guessing numbers and all kinds of things. The craziest thing was where he asked two random audience members to say whatever names they wanted ("Kardashian" and "Luis") and he pulled a huge paper out of his mouth with those names written on it... what!?!? He also dances and juggles and does all kinds of other things because he used to perform at Cirque du Soleil. He called my mom up onstage so it's all real. He's available with his dancer-magician assistant Allie after the show for photos. I'd highly recommend the show. We went at the Strat on 8/15/21. read more
