I went into this Xfinity location as a current internet customer, ready to get a phone line added. Instead, I ended up walking out completely shocked at how disrespectful and unprofessional their staff is. One of the representatives acted like he was the smartest person in the world, talking down to me the entire time. He clearly had zero customer service skills, zero patience, and zero effort to actually help. The attitude alone was enough, but the way he dismissed my questions was unbelievable. Because of one employee's arrogant behavior, they literally lost a customer. It's sad that a company this big allows people with no respect, no communication skills, and no professionalism to represent them. I will be taking my business somewhere else, and I hope management seriously looks into who they're allowing to work the front line because this was unacceptable. Do not go here. We went there to change plans. Clerk said he couldn't read my wife's phone and asked to see mine. When we left we noticed he had snuck Xfinity e-sims on to both of our phones after we told him we were happy with AT&T. Clerk also said he needed a credit card on file for new equipment. We later found out he signed us up for auto pay. SO SHaADY!! We went to Xfinity at 1550 N Federal Hwy. My days!!.. I had a really frustrating experience here today. I've been standing in line since 11:00 AM, and it's now 11:47 AM with barely any progress. The store isn't even busy customers are walking out because of the wait. There are four Xfinity associates working, yet there's no sense of urgency at all. I went in to buy a new internet service for my apartment, after taking excessive information from me the gentleman asks me to use my credit card for a charge of $53.49 saying that this is for my first month and that i have money back guarantee for 30 days to get that money back, i went to cancel the plan 6 days later for being absolutely terrible. The agent said that i owe $10.21 on my bill and that i never gave them the $53.49 although i showed them my amex statement with the address date and time plus the amount. The representatives at the store told me to dispute the transaction because one lf the employees basically robbed you. Thats crazy do not go to this place terrible place. I have contacted the Xfinity customer center four times in the past week to get an upgrade on our HD cable boxes and Modem. The last person I talked to was thorough, detailed oriented and patient. She was able to help out fix the mistakes that the other 3 customer service reps have made. The earlier representatives would make appointments on the wrong day or month of the year, would tell me that our contract did not allow for an upgrade and that our upgrade was already done....So amazed on how little some of these representatives care about opening the customer file and reading the entire account history to determine how to best help the customer. My advice is that if you know what you want and you don't get the answer you expect. Hang up and call a few minutes later, you should be able to eventually get someone that cares about their job and help you with your request. Always write down the name of the rep and the time you called, so you can have a record of the past interactions with the company. read more

They acquired more businesses and in 1969, the company changed its name to Comcast, a combination of the words communication and broadcast and moved the company to Pennsylvania. Through the ensuing years the company grew offering new services and increasing internet speeds. In 2010 Comcast unveiled their new brand Xfinity offering television and internet. Comcast is the parent company and Xfinity is the brand. Today the two named are used interchangeably. I recently needed to purchase a new cable internet package. That is when I got the rude awakening that it is almost impossible to speak to a person. They want you to download the app and order your service that way. After trying every which way to come up with a package I thought was a fair price I ended up discovering this store where you can get real in person service. I ended up selecting a package with Chris who just looked at the same app I had access to. Was it cheaper? No. It is what it is. At least I feel that I tried to get the best price I could. I left no stone unturned. It is about $40 more than I really wanted to pay but I didn't have to wait for them to send the equipment. I was able to leave the store with it. When I got home I couldn't set up the internet but I was able to easily reach someone who was able to activate it on their end. The cable box never worked right so I had to take another trip back to the store to a get another one. Fortunately this all took place during the week when I had off from school so I was in and out of the store. The funny thing is Xfinity has called me no less than 20 times asking for a customer service survey that I know they could care less than nothing about. Important note: don't forget to renegotiate your package in the month before it turns a year old. They will jack your bill sky high if you don't make arrangement before then. You can easily see the date on your bill. Also don't think you will save money by choosing something less than unlimited internet. As soon as you run over they automatically purchase more for your account which was what happened to someone in the store. They ended up with a $400 bill when they could have paid much less. Now that everything is set up I am happy with everything except the price. The equipment I was given is light years ahead of my old set up. My HD 4K finally works. The TV news anchors had wrinkles and blemishes I never saw before. I am pleased with the speed of the internet. So far no problems with outages. I get why everyone hates this company so much but I tried to quit them only to come back 3 months later. There aren't a lot of other choices especially if you want TV. You are stuck with them. a few years ago 2-3 years xfinity went to fiber optics in our development. Had trouble from the beginning when everything had to be changed at no expense to the residents. Each time i called customer service i was told the same story. U have not updated your system. We will shut u down and reboot your system. Then i stopped calling because i shut the system down by myself according to their instructions. Then a couple of months ago my system shut down completely. They had to send. tech to check it out. The tech found that the wrong modem had been installed. He changed the modem to high tech modem after upgrading a series of modems that did zero for the system. After the high tech modem was installed he took the old modem plus all the modems he tried and went on his way. My wife and i thanked him very much for all he had done. Since then twice a month i receive and my wife receives notification from customer service to return the old equipment. After several calls i was told not to worry. Problem was resolved. I as well as my wife continue to get the notification to return the old equipment. This is total harassment. read more
