I've been using xfinity wifi in my apartment for almost 4 years. I have had the typical issues with internet providers - bill amounts changing randomly and needing to call to get the best deal - but overall, I find it to be reliable and affordable internet provider. Sometime in April, they sent me a new router. A few billing cycles in and I was charged more because I had not returned my used equipment. I found that odd because I wasn't given a box to return it, so I just kept avoiding the return. Finally, I got my act together and made an appointment at the closest XFinity to me. This is in a nicely manicured shopping plaza with an AT&T, Firehouse Subs, Chic-fil-A and other spots like that. To be honest I was dreading going in person because I thought it would be chaotic. My appointment was made for 3:15, and I was promptly seen upon arrival. My equipment was returned and then I was able to negotiate with the employee Diego or David (cannot remember his name) - was really helpful. The store is clean, and spacious. I would definitely recomend making an appointment because it did look like a bit of a madhouse for those who were waiting. read more

The weight was relatively short and I was treated very well by diego who was able to assist me on a few returns and improving my account expenses. To suit my needs. Notwithstanding I did see some employees leisurely sitting back looking at their phone scrolling while they're colleague was working with them on an issue with a customer. Absolutely incompetent. I liked the pricing so decided to give them a shot and move from AT&T. I walked into the door and asked the kid about his services. Immediately, they wanted ID and started asking 1001 questions... what service are you on, etc. I let him know that I just wanted some basic information first and he very rudely said if I wasn't willing to give information, he couldn't help me. I walked out after calling him an idiot. I decided to try online so I didn't have to deal with another moron. After 138 emails and close to 10 hours of phone calls/chat sessions, I gave up. They indicated that equipment would be there Saturday morning after completing the internet order. Nothing. I called the next day, was told it would be 5-7 business days. They gave me the option of doing and talking to Mr. Idiot, so I chose a different store and picked up the hardware. While there, I tried to continue to move 3 cell phones to their network, having failed several times online to that point. He thought he had it through, then I got several messages saying it was declined. Went to AT&T, verified I had the right transfer pin and that they were released, all was good. Tried several times again, to which they said the iPhone 12 on the first account wasn't compatible with their system. I put it on hold and went to the iPhone 16 Pro max and again, hours went by of talks and trying to move these phones, once again, engaged AT&T, they verified the phones were free to transfer, gave me the transfer pin and Commiecast couldn't figure out out. They recommended that I buy new phones and trade these in so they could get it completed. Yeah, that's what I want to do, spend $3,000 on new phones so I could save a few bucks a month on service. In any event, I just dropped their equipment for internet back off and told them to pound sand. Overall, the level of incompetence is stunning. Had to call another number and sit on hold for 45 minutes to cancel a service they never got up and running and that idiot had the balls to ask if a $50 discount would change my mind... I don't make it a habit of name calling and cussing but he got the full Drill Sgt treatment. I guess I'll stay with AT&T, even though their cost keeps going up and up. read more

Came in to change a faulty box, the wireless performance is terrible with daily disruptions. Waited half hour before I realized that people had booked appointments for this, really? Not surprised that they have a bunch of customers complaining about unreasonable waiting times. The girl big girl @the front door, was bitter, rude and was taking a long time. She wouldn't answer any of my questions. She wouldn't answer the other gentleman and all he wanted was help to process and pay his bill. She obviously knows she can get away with a crap attitude because one of the managers (Fernando) would back her up. Fernando confronted me like some school yard punk raising his voice and demeanor acting like he was scolding one of his employees. He got really close in a threatening posture and voice told me that if I don't like waiting to leave now,in front of his staff at the front door. Maybe this is the why everyone complains about employees attitudes. He even tried to change the narrative by saying that I was yelling. As another Yelp reviewer shared, I have a love/hate relationship with Xfinity as well. I've been to this store around 3 times in my life for cable and internet related services. The customer service process is similar to another big well-known tech company's retail stores. When you enter the store, an employee will ask you for your name and what you are there for, then they input the information in their device. They inform you to wait in the designated area and wait to be called upon. Then the assigned employee goes to find you or calls out your name from their service counter. The wait time is unpredictable, so feel free to bring a book to read, listen to something, or people watch. I remembered the first 2 times the wait time was long and I had issues signing up for internet. It took a while and I had to make a few phone calls due to issues and errors with the website process. The most recent trip was a more pleasant experience because the employee, Sebastian, was actually really easygoing, friendly, professional, patient, and helpful. I was returning cable equipments because I didn't need them and never figured out how to set them up. He informed me of a cable equipment that's wireless, so I appreciated him telling me about it. i'd give Xfinity 0 stars if I could. Customer service today isn't great. but there are two companies that are at the bottom of the barrel: AT&T and Comcast/Xfinity. It's hard to reach anyone. Their robot keeps trying to get you to use their live chat bot or whatever they call it. I've tried. it's worthless and can't answer any meaningful questions. Service reps, if you can reach one, are often pleasant, but poorly trained. Wait times to reach one are long. Their websites are poorly designed, and it's not always easy to find information. I think they attempt to deceive. One website promotion was offering a service for $30 a month. But the very small print way down said there'd be an additional $35 connectivity charge per month. Full of remorse. I can not believe that it takes over 2 weeks to get a technician to come and look at a router. I have been with Xfinity 3 years and it has only gotten worse the longer I have been with them, I have called over and over to have their joke of an automated system hang up, transfer me to the wrong departments and even has the longest wait times to make it worse, There is no help even when the agent you get on the line after hours of trying to contact them, even if they would like to help their system is absolutely catastrophic just useless from all ends. Astounded that a company that large does not have enough employees to hable the volume of clients they have. No Company this large should be allowed to continue to function at this level! This was my first time visiting an Xfinity store. It looked very clean and a lot nicer than I had imagined. However, if it were up to me, I'd prefer not to have to come to one of these stores. Although the wait was only 15-20 minutes, it still felt like a task. I came here because I was advised to turn in my old device since activating my new device because I switched to a new and cheaper internet plan. It's a one-year deal at a lower price than what I was paying before at the same connection speed. And Xfinity always has deals available that are often changing. It's worth it to consult with an associate that's promoting Xfinity at a random store. They'll help you find the deals. I came by the Xfinity store around two weeks ago. I always had a love-hate relationship with Comcast. Wait, that's not right... I have always had a hate relationship with Comcast. Their customer service is terrible, but in South Florida, it's either them or AT&T and I don't like AT&T's internet speeds so... there you go. That's what happens when you live with a duopoly. I was hoping that going to an Xfinity store and interacting in person with a live human being, I could get more personalized service. In a way, I did get that but there was also some drawbacks which I will go over in my review. So I came in because I was looking to upgrade the security in my home. When I first moved into the gated community I live in, I didn't have any security system at all. My gated community's security made me feel safe and I didn't see the need for the expense, especially since I am paying for the security to my gated community as part of my HOA fees. But over a year back, I have become very dissatisfied with the security in my community and had to add an alarm system. My gated community then signed onto a new security company that in my opinion has made the situation worse not better and I decided that now I would need to install security cameras. So I came into the store hoping to get some info on what Comcast has to offer with that, pricing and perhaps add onto the service. As I came in, I was greeted by a friendly employee who explained there would be quite a bit of wait before I was able to speak with someone, I asked if I should just get an appointment for another day as I was really busy. He said: "oh it will only be 30 minutes.". I point blank asked him if that was true., saying "your not giving me one of those restaurant white lies, where they say it's 15 minutes to get a table and you wait two hours"." He said, "oh no 30 minutes.". So I gave my name and went to a sandwich shop nearby and had a coke as I waited. Once 30 minutes was up, I came back into the store. Can you guessed what happened? Yes, you thought correctly, it still wasn't my turn. In fact I waited another 40 minutes. Over an hour to talk to someone? Uhhhhh no. So I went and began talking to a saleswoman... really pretty one mind you, very easy on the eyes. When I asked her if she can give me info on security systems Comcast has, she said "huh I don't know anything about those... let's find out.". My head dropped down and thought... the point of me coming here was to talk to someone who knows the product, can explain to me my options, so I can make an informed decision. I will give this to her, she was really nice and she tried. She read the info on her screen and she pitched a good deal to me... so I took it. I had to pay for the cameras themselves but she reduced the price I was paying on all my other services with them so that when she added the monitoring service for the cameras, I wasn't paying that much more a month. I even got free installation and she looked up my info, saw I had an old modem and got me a new one free as well. She did a good job considering she didn't know much of the product. I then brought up the smart thermometers the store was selling and she looked a bit lost and I decided, you know what I will look at those later. All in all it wasn't a bad experience, the worst part was the god awful wait. I am assuming they are putting these physical locations so that they can personalize and humanize their services (really needed) and at the same time sell their new mobile services. It's a good concept, but they need to do better on their execution. Will I return? I am not sure. I like the service I got at the physical location better than I get over the phone, but an hour wait? I've been to this location twice to discuss the TV service and obtain equipment such as a DVR and other receivers. The first time we had to wait at least 45 minutes to see a representative. Once we did see the rep, she was pleasant, but found her very brief when serving us and didn't answer all of our questions immediately, we had to repeat our questions in order to receive proper answers. Further, she took a very long time (over 30 minutes) typing things into their computer system in order to properly set us up. I don't understand why they have to do so much clicking and typing, it's no wonder it takes so long to see a rep once you walk in. I would suggest that Comcast reduce the time it takes to set up customers in their retail stores which would make the overall customer experience much better. Thankfully, the next visit to the store was very positive with the rep being super friendly and providing us tips and good information. However, at the end of the discussion he made a point to tell us how to rate him properly on the survey--that was a bit much. read more

This place is garbage, they have me homeless, each person on the customer support hangs up or lies. They suck, go else where. Look at the photo, over 3 years they been saying they're going to remove this off my credit and lying to me and now I'm forced to pay a settlement fee to then wait 30 days homeless to then try and apply for a house and hopefully the same one is still available. This store is well located, modern and people treat you with decency, but, they are Comcast, so I expect they to take ownership of any problem created by a bad or erroneous information given by a Comcast rep over the phone. In my case I was told that my plan was $42 and I gave my credit card so they charge me automatically every month... 3 month later a wake up without internet and they said I was given a wrong price, that it should have being $64, so I have a balance of around $190+. I explained to her all details, and said that it was not my fault if they didn't charge my credit card... She told me that it was an error on the original price of $42 and a manager discovered the error and switched to $64. She finished by saying: "Acabaron contigo"! Wish I had read the reviews before going because I would 100% have scheduled an appointment instead of going in and waiting. It's been so many years since I've had Comcast as a cable/internet provider and it appears as though these locations have gotten a major makeover. I remember them being drab and DMV-like. Xfinity is now remodeled with laminate floors, big screen TV, and a modern vibe overall. Once you enter you check in with the security guard at the front and she gives you an approximate wait time. I arrived around 4:30 pm on a Monday thinking I would avoid the lunch and after-work crowds. The guard said it would be a 25-30 minute wait. Thankfully there were plenty of places to sit and wait, and it was nice and cool inside on this hot summer day. I was a little more than 30 mins later that I was called. The process was fast and easy from that point because I'd already placed the order over the phone so I was just picking up equipment. I asked for all the cables because I decided to self install, and they didn't give me a hard time about it at all. Overall not a bad experience. UPDATE: since my first visit I had to go back as I was seeking a longer coaxial cable than what they had provided me. This time I scheduled an appointment and I was able to get a slot within hours of scheduling. I checked in and was seen right away. Unfortunately they only carry 3' and 6' coax cables in store so if you're looking for the same thing, either you need to purchase one from Home Depot or Walmart, or pay the $60 for the Comcast service call. read more
