I'm convinced a cable company could save babies, kittens and penguins at the same time and still be hated. Cable companies and airlines are the industries that everyone loves to hate. And maybe it's because I don't expect a lot, but I've has Comcast internet and cable for five years and have been pleased. Wait times, in person here and on the phone, have been fine. Most everyone is friendly. The rare technical issue is fixed quickly, to my satisfaction, but friendly IT staff with plenty or apologies and some free HBO. Do not trust anything Xfinity/Comcast says. Get it in writing. I recorded (they knew) them offering something that was not true on the phone. They are not good for their word. I told the customer security team about fraudulent business practices. Get fiber from someone who has it. (They don't) Anyone would be better than them!! Negative stars not available. read more

I have mixed feelings on this company as a whole. Let's start by saying the internet it self is suffice. That's pretty much the only compliment I can give out. I live in an area where they only have Xfinity and that is why I use them! I am strongly considering moving just to not have this service. Customer service is okay to say the least. They have an automated system that you can barely get ahold of anyone. When you opt out of receiving text messages they still send them. When I first signed up they had me pick the box up but my internet did not work so they sent out a technician. Come to find out the store actually gave me the wrong box. Later on I see they charged me $100 service fee for the technician coming out to replace the incorrect box. They have multiple internet outages and there is nothing you can do about it but wait. So, good luck if you work from home! My internet would not work properly for almost a week I called in every day! They finally sent someone out to "resolve the issue" and as soon as he left it was the same issue. So they sent a senior tech the very next day. Come to find out cords and the box needed to be replaced after only have it for 5 months! Of course they charged $100 to my account. read more

Xfinity's customer service absolutely sucks. They have overcharged me on my bill. I have tried to contact them on numerous times and getting to speak to a live person is almost impossible. When I do call someone, they say they are going to fix my bill and then do not, tell me my bill is correct and I am wrong or try to sell me a different plan. I have called them at least six times and spent over 10 hours trying to rectify a $40 a month overcharge and still have not gotten the issue resolved. I have not found a place online or been able to register a complaint so will vent here. I have been trying to connect a modem, with an existing account at a new residence in MS for my 94 year old father, without success. I have been authorized on his account to do his bidding. I stated talking with 2 different agents on the phone, Monday, April 8, 2024 for over an hour each time! I picked up new equipment at the Xfinity store as required, I downloaded the Xfinity app and began to follow the instructions to hook up the internet and hit a wall so live chatted with 4 more agents, repeating my issue each time, even though they assured me they had read all about my problems. I was on the live chat from 6 pm til 9 pm when the last agent suggested I call back in the morning and give the person that took the call a work ticket for a professional installer free of charge. I called the number she gave me the next morning, was told there was nothing in my account about the problem or a ticket number for install. He gave me to another agent and I spent 2 more hours on the phone without getting a solution or being able to make an appointment for an installation. I hung up with the understanding that it would be resolved and he would personally call me back with an appointment. It is now Wednesday afternoon and no callback no appointment. I have never experienced a more inept and uninfo company in my life. Spectrum was so much better at cdble services than this company. Comcast sucks!!!! I have been trying for one week to get someone out to survey the property damage they did to our sprinkler system while digging to lay cable/lines whatever. I have been lied to every single time. We just want to reimbursed for what it will take to fix it. If they weren't trespassing on our property it would not have happened. We will NEVER be a customer of Comcast. I'm sitting right waiting for a supervisor to show up that probably won't. We will stick the Century Link. Calling their national phone number puts you into menu-option-hell with an unending series of menus that lead nowhere. When I finally got to a "live" person, he said that I had called the wrong number and gave me the "correct" number to call ... it was the same number I had just called. When I finally found a local number, I discovered that the prior's multiple calls' work ticket had been lost so I had to start over again. This has to be the most customer unfriendly company west of the Mississippi. read more

Was super happy with service at my old house. Now that I've moved to new development, they refuse to come out to hook-up the service to me and my neighbors. We've all called them and requested service. My neighbor on the corner (same side of street maybe 150 yards away) has service - they even confirmed they do at the Xfinity store - but they are the only ones. In-store they keep telling me "we'll send a serviceability request" and never get back to me. My buddy used to work for cable company, said it's ridiculous they won't come hook up the service as its already there on our side of the street. Only 2 more houses to be built on our side of street to be completed. New-build or not, that's what the utility easement is for...Needless to say, we're all very frustrated and disappointed with Comcast because of this! read more

Horrible company that will claim you didn't return their equipment and send your account to collections for no reason. Who would keep a cable box or modem after they your service? Who keeps receipts for dropping off a cable box because you moved out of their coverage area? Worst experience of my life. Stay away from Comcast. READ THIS BEFORE YOU ORDER FROM COMCAST! First of all when I ordered the service I was very careful to ask about the dollar amount I would be charged for my new service... Of course, what I was billed was nearly DOUBLE what I was told my monthly bill would be. This was due to an installation fee of $60 for cable and internet that I installed myself. Awesome. I was told I had two options 1) to go pickup the boxes myself or 2) have them shipped to me. Since the phone agent told me there wasn't a location with 100 MILES of my home, I opted to have them shipped. I was told there would be NO installation fee. Brilliant. Once I received my equipment I had to call three times and speak with 7, yes SEVEN different people to get it properly activated. Oh and I had to repeat my personal info to each one too. HA! After finally speaking to someone who seemed to know what they were doing, they determined that my cable box was defective and they would have to send me a new one. The remote didn't work, which after taking ten minutes to read the manual I was able to fix, by programming it to work with their own box... Maybe I should get a job there... So, they sent me a knew box, which it looks like they charged me for. Now I have the joy of calling them again, probably getting transferred multiple times, waiting forever, talking to people that don't know how to do their jobs, ultimately getting angry and probably charged more money. As soon as I can find another provider in my area that is not satellite I'm switching. SAVE US GOOGLE FIBER!!!! Do yourself a favor and stay away. read more

feel sorry for my daughter-called the Great 1-800 number -talked to two different customer? service reps to try and get a service guy out to her place to reattach the cable to the house (limb knocked it down from the ice /snow storm 2 weeks ago)- holy crap-u ever to talk to someone who you know is not listening to you?-- needless to say they did not get the job done-so I did it--would be a drag if her dog got hurt running around the yard and got tangled in the cable...ps the rep is still looking for a supervisor as I write this... better hope you never have to call the 1-800#--I would just go straight to the office.... read more

This rating is purely based on MY experience. I've had three different problems all resulting in my bill staying higher than I was ever originally quoted. The service and quality are great. But when I called to change my plan, and then 30 days later my bill comes in, and the amount and service are still the same....then there lies the problem. Was quoted a price with downgrading my service to lower the bill, well it apparently was never confirmed, but written in the notes I called. When I tried to call and find out why the bill was still so high, they told me that the service was never changed, and that if I wanted to switch to what was quoted to me, that the service would now require a 3 year agreement!!!!!!!!!!!
