When I was in London in 2019, the line at Xing Fu Tang was very very long even in a rainy day. I remembered waiting for an hour for it. And I felt like it's always busy at any Xing Fu Tang locations I've been to. We don't have Xing fu tang where I live so I always came to Xing fu tang when traveling. I was surprised that there was no wait when we arrived here yesterday, and there was only one person working here. I left to check out another new boba tea in the area. When we came back 5 minutes later, there were several people in the shop. Service was friendly and very quick even though he was the only person taking order and making drinks. We got Taro Milk, Signature Boba brown sugar and grape fruit tea. The Taro Milk was okay. It's definitely different than taro milk I had somewhere else. Basically, it was just milk and taro paste. And it wasn't sweet at all lol. I actually noticed beverages in London aren't sweet in general compared to US. The signature brown sugar milk was the star of the show. I loved it a lot!!! It seemed like their signature brown sugar boba stayed consistently. The freshly cooked boba was soft and chewy in a creamy milk, the sweetness was from the brown sugar sauce, brown sugar was sprinkled on top and torched for caramelization really elevated the brown sugar flavor. Grape fruit tea was kinda bitter ( probably from the decoration grapefruit slice) and didn't have much grapefruit flavor. I also wanted to mention about their cute little fortune drawers where you can pick one while waiting for your drink. For those who are unfamiliar with how it works, you basically draw a stick with a number on and you find the match number on the drawers, there is a fortune message on there. From this experience at Xing Fu Tang London, I probably just stick with their signature brown sugar boba milk only from now on. I had fruit drinks and taro milk better somewhere else.

Super fast drinks! Order on digital menu and out comes the drink. Boba was soft and sweet. Great…read morespot to get a drink while enjoying sights of London Eye and Big Ben.

I never really got into the whole boba hype when I was growing up. Still, the prospect of boba on the other side of the Atlantic piqued my interest when I was in the neighborhood... First things first: you'll definitely feel the dollar-to-pound conversion when you peruse the menu. While I am no stranger to paying extra for some of the fancier toppings (like jellies), I was a little disappointed to see that even the boba tapioca balls cost an extra £0.50. (Maybe this is normal outside of the States, where the drink is known as "milk tea" instead of "boba"? Because otherwise I find it hard to believe that boba can be sold without, well, the boba...) I went with the Assam black milk tea because I find that choosing the most basic of milk teas is the best way to evaluate a boba spot. It wasn't as sweet as the basic black milk teas that I usually can find in the U.S. (understandable, as most drinks in the U.S. are probably sugarier). The boba was fresh (to be expected, as I had pay extra for it...) At the end of the day, I had paid £4.50 for the regular size of some pretty average tasting boba. The shop itself is pretty tiny, though the seating is pretty hip-looking.

I always get the same thing - their jasmine milk tea with boba - and is delicious each time. So perfectly delicious and not too sweet (I get mine with normal sugar levels and no ice). They have a frequent visitor card where you can get a free drink after every 8, but their app really really sucks and it always takes forever to load. I've missed out on logging a few drinks because of this. But - I've now learned the trick! Just take a screenshot of the QR code for your account and voila! Woot. One day I'll venture out and try another flavor, but for now I still go for my tried and true.
