Popcorn chicken was surprisingly tasty and crunchy. They had a variety of seasonings to choose from. Definitely a great snack to get on the go. They were also pretty busy and had a line.

This popcorn chicken is fire!! It's so popular for a good reason! The chicken pieces are bite size and every bit is so yum. The popcorn chicken was around 7 pounds and I got it with garlic seasoning. It tastes fresh and the meat is super juicy. I love the crispness of the breading as well, although it does lean towards the saltier side. I would def come back again and again.

Come for the chicken and pass on the tea. We found this place on accident walking to our place for dinner and being the fried chicken loving girl I am, I had to try it. The only reason I gave them 4 Stars was because the tea was ok. They are 5 for their popcorn chicken. They expect you to know what you want so be ready to order when it's your turn. They except Credit Card with Chip/Apple Pay which is rare in Chinatown (all the good places usually cash only). We got the popcorn chicken and it was made to order. When they called your number, there is a counter full of spices for you to choose from. We got chili. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Crispy with no fatty hidden pieces or oily. I would go here again. I want to try there XXL next time. It is a huge Taiwanese Chicken Fried Chicken steak! For the tea, we picked the standard milk tea and strawberry fruit tea. They were watered down and no strong flavor. The boba were hard and almost at the point of their duration before you have to toss it. The tea is a definite pass. You can walk a few feet and get Happy Lemon. Happy snacking.

Look no further. In comparison to what I'm used to out in California, this joint offers the best Taiwanese style popcorn chicken in London. You can choose to spice it up with a slew of spices or seasonings, but honestly it tastes just as great plain.

So I probably go to Good Friend at least once a week. There are a few different places in central London that do this style of Taiwanese fried chicken but Good Friend is truly the best. They always have consistent quality, the flavors are wonderful and they're suuuuuper affordable.

Lots of spices to choose from so you can customize your chicken just they way you want it.

They have 3 locations in London. We were lucky to be seated immediately and placed our order. We each started with a drink. They have beer, wine, juices and soft drinks. We also had an.order of olives to.go with our fish. Portions are huge! We each had the haddock which was delicious. Not greasy at all! The inside is relatively small and they don't have outdoor seating so don't be surprised if there is a line out the door during peak times. Takeout is also very popular. For anyone with a GF allergy,Hobsons is a good place to go and try the local favorite of Fish & Chips.

Watching her serve other tables, she gave most patrons drinks after their food was served. The cod was really good and meaty. The onion rings were amazing. The fries/chips were only okay. There was no salt on them and they weren't crispy at all. We got a tiny container of tartar sauce. It was hard to get her attention, so I finished the last half without anything. I don't know if the quality of fish and chips is typical for London, but I'm not that impressed. A small town on the Oregon coast had the best fish and chips ever. I will say, the onion rings were the best even though they were a little greasy. The coleslaw is not like USA slaw, but it was pretty good. I will probably try another restaurant for fish and chips to get a good comparison.

WOW, this place is delicious!…read more Our family stopped in London for the last part of our cruise. After touring St. Paul's Cathedral, we were pretty hungry. We found The Fat Bear via Yelp!, and decided to give it a try. There were so many things on the menu that looked really good, but I had been craving chicken and waffles. The waffles were crisp on the outside, and fluffy on the inside -- the chicken, cooked perfectly, too. The syrup they serve it with is incredible. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in London! Carson C. Visalia, California

I wanted something with at least one good veggie option, they wanted something with meat, and it had to be somewhere in-between Camden and Canary Wharf, not too pricey, and ideally close to the city because otherwise our Italian friend probably wouldn't make it. And lo and behold.... THE FAT BEAR!!! It was all we wanted and more! This place is sort of tucked away and up some stairs above a pub. It's really just a room and a half, which makes it super cozy and they have a pretty awesome looking bar. It's got warm lighting which makes the atmosphere really nice. Their cocktails were delightful and the service was excellent. I will make a very strange observation that someone working there had a very drunk friend who just sort of made herself at home. Then more joined and it turned into me watching this table of really really drunk people trying to order food. Two of them ended up just falling asleep. It was super strange. Anyway, me being distracted aside, I really loved the cocktail I ordered- Sloe Boat To China, and everyone else seemed happy with theirs. I was dying to try the pimiento cheese starter and the fried pickles. The cheese was particularly sharp and delicious. The pickles were good, but quite skinny (I mean come on, you're in an American restaurant I was expecting some serious pickles). The vegan gumbo was super spicy and delicious. I was impressed and enjoyed it. My husband dropped the ball and ordered the regular jambalaya (with sausage) rather than the seafood one which broke my heart a little bit, because I really wanted to try it. You know, I guess that means we'll just have to come back. Oh also another bonus, this place has brisket which is really hard to find. I can't say how it tastes but my friend said he defo approves (am I becoming more British with these words, or just more annoying?) Anyway, to finish it off I had the oreo cheesecake which the bomb. I love oreos. And it tasted like oreo. So all was right with the world. A wonderful place to come if you have people who want to try American food, or if you have out of town Americans who are too scared to try other food, or if you have hungry friends that want to try cajun food, or if you just want to try some really yummy food.
