I have been researching microblading for quite some time and discovered XO Beauty on Yelp. This was before the pandemic when they were located off Huff Road. After thorough research, I finally decided to take the plunge in December 2024. Janice was my esthetician, and she was amazing. I was extremely satisfied with her customer service as well as the final product. I received hybrid brows that were exactly what I wanted in terms of shape, shading, and color. I have received so many compliments since then and don't regret my decision at all. It did take about 2-3 weeks for my eyebrows to fully heal, but it was worth it. So here is my review only 3days after micro-blading. And I must say I'm so happy I got it done. The reviews don't lie! She is exceptional at what she does and very personal and detail oriented. The time of your appt is all yours and yours alone. I love the idea of the studio suite it's personal and welcoming. She explains to you in detail and asks for ur thoughts to help adjust and tweak to get the desired look your going for. After years and years of suffering with no brows I can happily say that I HAVE EYEBROWS!! It was such a pain having to do my eyebrow makeup everyday and never able to leave the house with no makeup on. Janice is amazing at what she does, they are perfect! Be aware, it does hurt.. but is totally worth it! If you are on the fence about getting it done, get over it and make the appointment. You won't regret it! It is life changing which may sound a little dramatic but if you have gone with little or no brows, it is! It totally changes the look of your face in a good way and takes years off. Also don't book the appointment right before any major plans (wedding, graduation, family reunion) anywhere where you will be taking photos cause you will look a little crazy for the first week or so. Unfortunately I have regretted going to Janice for my microblading every time I've looked in the mirror for three and a half years. She failed to listen to what I wanted (my eyebrows...but more filled in) and instead shaved off half of my brows and cut very unnatural arches into my face. To make matters worse, her work was asymmetrical and has left red ink (no, I am not a redhead) scarred into my brows. I have now seen three different dermatologists to work on removal, and I kick myself every day for having to pay so much more and go through more pain to undo this. At both of my sessions she mentioned how "tired" and "sad" my natural shape makes me look...I used to disagree, but honestly now I am pretty tired of seeing my scars and sad to have had this experience. For a lighter hand and a natural look, I would go elsewhere. I took a super chance big chance on going to XO Beauty and Brows. I saw what temporary lashes did for my eyes and I was hooked where I wanted a longer lasting solution. I originally planned to have them done at my regular nail salon. After being turned away because the ONE person who could do them was off that day, I decided there had to be a better way to get my lashes done. Research: My search continued and alas I fell upon XO Beauty. I saw Janice's reviews and pictures! Super impressed which led me to her Facebook page and website. After doing more research on microblading and Liquifan lashes I was convinced on making an appointment. I am also glad I did not opt for a nail salon. What you will like about Janice is your appointment is YOUR appointment. No waiting like you do in a nail salon. So I made the appointment and boy am I not sorry. I was there for 4 hours as Janice said I would be. I got my lashes and brows done the same day. No regrets . After the process, I was shocked. I actually looked good... actually I looked great. Recommendation I highly recommend Janice. Do not waste your money anymore on cheap eyelashes. Think of a life free of mascara and how much time you will save in the morning.You will also save time and moolah on trying to draw in brows. No more variety of pencils and gels etc. Your are done EVERY morning! Tips before you go: Tip 1-Janice is located in the Brookhaven Apartments on the first floor. There is free parking inside the building or you can use the valet service. Her suite is in a collection of suites where there are other hairstylists and many other services. Tip 2-Wear comfortable clothing. You will be laying down for a while. Tip 3-Don't worry about wearing eye makeup that day. If you are getting your eyelashes done, Janice will be using tape on your lower lids which will lift off any eyeliner. No it does not hurt when she takes the tape off. If you are doing microblading, she will cleanse your brow area prior to the procedure. Blush and foundation are ok to wear that day. Tip 4-THIS IS IMPORTANT-Do not drink coffee or take aspirin at least 2 days prior to your microblading appointment. I will not say why here but trust me your appointment will be more pleasant. Tip 5-Buy Tatoo Goo at CVS prior to your microblading appointment. Janice recommends putting this on your brows the next day. You probably want to have it handy because you are going to want to go straight home. Tip 6-Also get some chocolate. You will want it as comfort food after microblading. Due to my excessive coffee intake, microblading was a bit more intense but I got through it and so did Janice. Tip 7-Get your lashes and brows done by Janice. You will look gorgeous. 24 hours later my eyes look great and I did not even need eyeshadow. read more

Janice is like a guardian angel for your brows. I had been contemplating getting microblading done ever since I first heard about it around 2 years ago. After going back and forth for months, my hubby helped me make up my mind to get this done for my birthday in June. After looking into several practices I decided on XO Beauty Studio and I could not be happier with the results. Janice is very welcoming and really breaks everything down for you. She's very thorough about the procedure and the after care process. You discuss what your looking for and she draws on the shape and tweaks it until they look exactly how you want. The procedure itself is relatively painless thanks to numbing cream. She literally made me feel like one of her girlfriends...we were sharing pics of our dogs at point lol. I was nervous to do this because, let's get real, this is your face and though it's semi permanent, you've gotta live with the results. For me, someone who's brows had no shape, were ultra thin and sparse from years of over tweezing (thank you 90's Gwen Stefani & Christina Aguilera), this was the best decision I could've made for my brows!! The amount of confidence I have now is insane, & I don't have to sit and literally draw on my brows everyday just to feel comfortable enough to leave the house. Full disclosure tho: I bleed pretty easily so the scab that formed during the healing process was very noticeable. On day 2 of healing I even had one coworker stop me and exclaim, "Girl what did you do to your face??" My aunt and cousin got their brows micro-bladed in Houston and I saw them via FaceTime. It was a real 'POP' accent to their faces. I am very particular about - well everything! I like things neat, nice, and FAB! I then researched to find an artist in Atlanta. I reviewed several companies by looking into: time in business, consistent finishes, and natural looks. BY FAR...Janice @ XO seemed to be it! Her work (from photos) was consistent. She was knowledgeable and professional. I scheduled with her and waited patiently until my appointment - she is always booked a few months out. I have a bold shape with a natural finish. I wanted the feathering look at the front of my brows and she nailed it! It was little painful; be sure to take your Tylenol. On a scale from one to ten; the pain is a five (5). It is tolerable. It was pricey, but you only get out what you put into it - worth the funds! Honestly, we spend that money on waxing, pencils, and other brow tools/services. Now, I do not touch by brows PERIOD - "I wake up like this"! I am pleased with my result and have completed my touch-up. Do not be alarmed when the brows lighten after the first treatment. My appointment was scheduled for 6:30pm yesterday and guess what....we started at 6:30pm! It was my first visit and I was told it would take 1.5 hours and...I was telling Janice how much I liked my eyebrows at 8pm! I had a little trouble finding the location but I'm not good with directions; I frequent a restaurant right next to the building Janice is in and still needed Waze to get home, lol. The directions provided in my appointment reminder email did help me stumble across where I should be and I was happy to see covered parking (it was really a blessing since when I left it was raining). Anyway, when I arrived I filled out a couple pages of paperwork while Janice quickly cleaned up from her last appointment and then we began. I already knew I made the right choice scheduling with Janice thanks to all the information on her website and customer reviews but if I hadn't done my research it would have been obvious to me I was in good hands the second she began working. Janice quickly chose and drew the shape that would work best for me and applied the numbing cream. After 20 minutes she showed me the tools she would be using and explained what she would be doing. My biggest concerns were how much it would hurt and that my eyebrows would be too dark. However, I barely felt anything and I have a low tolerance for pain and although I was told my eyebrows would be their darkest the first few days I could actually go darker. I'm saving the 5th star until my brows have finished healing but I am happy with the results I have now, I may shade them in a little once they heal, and have received so many compliments. UPDATE: I've e-mailed Janice a few times during the healing process, freaking out even though the after care instructions advised I'd have what appears to be bald spots & concern regarding having to wait until next year for my follow up (she stays booked), and each time she responded in less than an hour. The customer service she provides is amazing!! UPDATE 2: I just got my touch-up & my brows look GREAT. I got the new hybrid/combo brows b/c the tail of my eyebrows is non existent & well... The pics say it all!!! Imani did my touch up & she is just as friendly & personable as Janice. I definitely recommend XO Beauty & Brows. Tips: -If you are even considering microblading book your appointment as soon as you can; I had to wait 2 months for mine and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. -Take the recommended Tylenol 20-30 minutes before your appointment and ibuprofen after. I did both and only had very minor pain for maybe an hour or two once she was done. -Bring music to listen to. I was worried about the pain and having music playing in my ear while waiting for the numbing cream to work really relaxed me; I almost fell asleep. read more

I had my eyebrows microbladed earlier this year. The results for me have just been so-so. They looked amazing during the first few days, but after healing you definitely can't see individual strokes, it's more just a fuzzy grayish brown haze. So I still have to fill in my eyebrows every day, but it is helpful to at least have a nice shape guideline to follow. Janice is very nice and easy to talk to and her studio space is gorgeous. She did have serious issues with punctuality for my appointments which was frustrating (and BTW, just take ownership of the fact you were late and stop making up excuses. It was no one else's fault and it's a simple thing to remedy.) The results just haven't lived up to my expectations. If you are expecting your brows to look like they do in everyone's Day-Of pictures, you might be disappointed as well because it's a little misleading. I probably wouldn't have my eyebrows done again, but if I did I would try a different studio just to see if the results were different and to avoid timeliness snafus. read more

I requested appointment for touch up of microblading. Unless you received service here the first time, she does not do touch up (which is not stated on website). Instead you must sign up for a more expensive new service in order to "fix" the previous work. Nothing but a sales scam to force you to spend more unnecessarily. I've has my eyebrows microbladed for a while now it's been a few yrs or more and Janice is nice but I came to her when she was just starting off. Her Salon is doing a lot better now. She has more customers. But when I first came she didn't have many. I thought she was good but she isn't. I think she's gotten better over the years from what I can see. But my eyebrows have not really faded they look like a big mess. Just all blended together. She used black and brown pigment but it's turned a dark grey color. The shape has changed from when I first got my touch up. Do not be fooled by all her good reviews. And all the pictures. Do your research! The first few months your brows look great. But after that it does change a lot! And it doesn't fade after a few years. It will always leave a mark on your brows. The color will never be fully gone. They tell you it's semi permanent but it's actually permanent. Never fully goes away. And that's how people keep coming back for touch ups when it starts to fade weird. Her technique is too hard and looks fake looking. The hybrid brows are too dark and will turn a different color when time goes by. It will not look good. In the long run microblading isn't great. I wasted over 500 dollars here and she just took my money and I'll never get that back. Don't go to her at all. Go somewhere else. There are way better artists who do a better job and have way more experience and their technique is a lot more real and will ACTUALLY go away in time. But Janice Shades the brow too much and her methods are a lot more harsh. Find somewhere else. I traveled 3 hours to her place and wasted over 500 dollars. All her reviews are from people who have results right after they got their brows done. Not reviews from years of it. Don't waste your money. I wasted money and I can't get that back. I am a pale white girl with brownish reddish hair and eyebrows that get curly when they get a certain length, Janice was able to pick a dye that looks so natural! I often don't wear makeup and didn't want very bold brows, I have the most perfectly done natural effortless brows ever!! I love that the maintenance is so easy, just literally pluck outside the lines. If she offers to do an "eyebrow lift" of sorts I would 100% suggest you do it! She tattoos above your natural brow line and you just have to keep plucking the old brow line, but the effects are dramatic! I opted to not get the 2 month finalized fill in, because I am so happy with my natural results, but I know I will return to see Janice when the tattoo fades after a few years or so. I don't have any other tattoos, and the pain was a little more than I was thinking, but worth it! read more
