I thought it was weird, but it always hurts so it's fine, she told me my hair was really coarse and so that it's hard. I came in and it was the cutest decor upon entrance and everyone was friendly. I was greeted by Rose and she was nice. She looked and said " I'll do your stomach", um they don't do that in St. Louis at all. She also knew I shaved and mentioned the reason and what happens when you shave. Let me say, I'm super iffy about who does my brows because mine are incredibly thick naturally but over the years, I have gone to places that assume I want them thinned out. After seeing the reviews for Waxing in the City and noticing the proximity to where I was, it seemed like an easy choice. Since my appointment was last minute, I was left with either 9 or 9:15 am or around noon when I knew I needed to be preparing for our shoot. So I went with the 9:15am despite being sleepier than ever these days. Surprising to me, I actually got my life together in time and made it there early! This location is set in a large plaza with a number of businesses nearby which affords lots of great parking. When I entered, I was greeted by Brittany at the front desk who was such a sweetheart. She let me know that since we were the only ones in the building, she would lock the door for safety purposes and I so appreciated that. The interior is so cute, filled with lots of products to check out and waxing marketing all over. Brittany guided me back to one of the rooms which was small but not cramped in any way. Incredibly clean and offering an adjustable flatbed to lay back on that was covered with a disposable sheet, it was quite welcoming. And the playlist?! Fire. I don't love waxing, I mean, who does? But this was such a great experience. They use hard wax vs. strips and I truly prefer it that way. Brittany used small pieces of wax vs. longer ones which made each pull gentler, so great. I let her know that I hateeee tweezing but understand it has to happen, and she was quite patient with me and still smooth when doing so. Because I was a first-time customer, I received 20% off, so appreciated it. I'm truly happy with the final result and definitely plan on returning!

Unfortunately, after the wax, my skin over my eyes was burning more than usual but I thought it would go away as it usually does. In about an hour it didn't get better and today I woke up with these red spots and my skin really hurts. I'm not allergic to anything and my skin is not extra sensitive and I've been waxing my eye brows for many years and it's the first time this happens to me.

Alvira is the best at what she does. I have been going to see her for eye-brow threading and waxing for a little bit over 10 years. She is friendly, compassionate, and extremely talented. Her wonderful energy and above and beyond experience makes her clients loyal to her. She used to work for another salon called Hair Images. That place did not match Alvira's amazingness. They would make you wait forever even if you had an appointment. Alvira always treats her clients like they are important to her. Her salon is very clean and I always feel welcome. The prices are great and I really would not go anywhere else. Now that her salon is a bit farther from where I live, that would not stop me. I would go anywhere to see Alvira. Bring your friends and ask for Alvira. She really is an expert and knows what she is doing. I leave happy every single time no matter what! I came here about a month ago with my very energetic 3 year old to have my eyebrows threaded. Priya worked around us which I'm sure was hard for her and still managed to give me perfect brows. She suggested a small change and I let her make said change yesterday and just when I thought my eyebrows couldn't get any better, no one's eyebrows can compare to mine now lol. I'm very serious about my brows too so I'm grateful I found Priya esp since I recently moved to ATL, it's always hard finding the perfect place. I also got a Brazilian with her yesterday and an underarm wax. Brazilian and underarms were done in under 10 minutes which was surprising and everything is smooth. I'll update later if anything changes because my recent waxes (not done here) have left me itchy & with bumps. So far, so good though. This was my very first Brazilian wax & underarm wax. I had the pleasure of having a wonderful young lady by the name Priya to do my wax. She was well aware of how nervous I was. Yet, she reassured me of the products she was using, the process in which it would be done & guaranteed me that it would go smoothly. Her confidence gave me the courage to go thru with it. She offered me a glass of wine. ( which I happily accepted! Of course) Then, When in the room, she was so professional & polite & such a pleasure to deal with that I almost forgot that I was getting waxed. The whole process took only 15 minutes. I've been going to Miracle for eyebrow threading and body waxing for 4 years and I will never go anywhere else. Alvira, the business owner, employs and trains only the best staff members. She is always eager to hear--and act on--customer feedback. Ruby is my go-to--fast and friendly. I love hearing her say my name when I walk through the door! Tina is also great--very thorough and sweet. But you can't go wrong: everyone who works here is professional and experienced, and the salon itself is fairly priced and very clean with the highest standards of sanitization. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, just tell them. They'll know what to do. I can't recommend this place enough. I went to miracle beauty salon around a month ago to get a Brazilian done along with their famous eyebrows. It was my first time going there, and I truly looked so intensely on yelp to see whom should I go to. I went to Elvira/Alvira, I'm not sure how to spell her name correctly, and she is PERFECT!! I am immensely picky, and I truly loved her. She is so sweet, quick, and perfect! I hate going to new people, so if she can please me, I know that there is so much she could do for you all as well. I am used to sugar wax, but Elvira sold me completely on their wax. It was quicker, less in-growns, and a lot less painful than sugar wax, and hard wax. Now, going on to her job with my eyebrows. The early 2000s were not kind to our eyebrows and I never thought I'd be able to recover until I started hanging out with an old friend in the city. Her eyebrows were perfection! I asked what she was doing and she said "It's Priya! I'll send you the info". So I went for the first time a few months ago and WOW. Priya is honestly a miracle worker! I've been once a month (per Priya's recommendation) for about three or four months now and Priya has taught me how to get them to grow and she's shaped them and made them similar. I was very nervous about getting my back waxed, never done it and was unsure of the process. I have heard stories of how painful it could be and the possibility of bleeding and leaving scabs. I set an appointment, the young lady was very helpful on the phone and eased me of my fears. I arrived about 5 minutes before my appointment, they got me in very quickly with no wait, offered me a glass of wine (which I took her up on in the middle of my waxing session) The young lady was very knowledgeable and genital with the process. I am a loyal customer to Miracle and RUBY is one of the best in the place (along with the owner Alvira)! They always greet you as you come in, learn your name (and then call you by that), they are reasonably priced and for the most part they do a very good job. I love going to Ruby because she is quick, efficient and knows exactly what I need without me having to tell her and I have some difficult hairs :-). I've gotten everything from just eyebrows to full face and with Ruby and Alvira (and previously Sue) the service was impeccable. So glad I found Sami at this salon! Sami started threading my brows in Douglasville well over a year ago. After she left the Arches I thought anyone with thread could do my brows. Boy was I wrong! The care for details, professionalism, courtesy , and consistency that Sami has can not be duplicated. I willingly drive 80 miles roundtrip past any other place in town to sit in her chair. I walked in about two months ago as a first time waxer and Raj assisted me with everything. She was very diligent and helpful, even giving me tips for what to do in between visits. I just relocated from a different state and needed to find a permanent place for my eyebrows and Brazilian waxes...AND I FOUND IT....after reading the reviews I decided to try Pryia AND SHE LIVED UP TO THE TYPE!!! Stopped in for a quick eyebrow cleanup since I was in the area. And did I ever regret it. It's pretty hard to mess up my brows and they did. I said to just keep my shape and do a cleanup, and when I looked in the mirror after they finished, the lady had completely ruined the shape of my eyebrows. Never again! I've been a customer since they first opened. I think Sue is awesome when it comes to threading eyebrows and mustache. Sue knows how to make any brow look beautiful and perfect. I was very pleased with professionalism of this shop. They didn't make me fill rushed or become…read morerude when I asked them to fix a nail. Tge tech actually corrected the shape of the nails I had on. I got a fill and my toes polished. The price I paid was fair and it felt good to understand the language in a nail shop for a change. I used Yelp to look for a nail salon open on Sundays and they pulled up. I had no idea they were black-owned but what a pleasant surprise. I can now get quality work and the latest trendy nails here! I stopped in while in town for lash strips after sending a text message regarding a same say…read moreappointment and not hearing back. I learned that several ladies could do it, but I scored a spot with Gabby , the resident lash tech since I could wait an hour. I added them for a glam look since I was in town to attend a formal event. Worth the $20 price tag all day every day.
