We understood that, and we're told they would get back to us. Then we had winter weather coming and I called them in January, worried that the weather would make it all worse. They threw new shingles on the roof on January 24th, and said they would circle back with us about the repairs to the interior. This was unfortunate as around this time I moved back in to assist my parents with a health event, leaving my partners in our home, causing me to not be as on top of this as I normally would be. Almost a month later, my partners informed me the leak was back. When I spoke to the project manager Jason after I had been informed of this, he stated everything would have to be re-evaulated. This led to a lot of back and forth between myself, Consolidated Construction, and my insurance company. I let this company know that we had some grievances about how things have been handled up to this point...and they finally finished everything on June 2nd. It was not a huge job. The exterior took a total of about 2 days with the original work and then them coming back to rework it. The interior also took two days when they finally were able to come and do it. We had used them previously and had been happy enough with their work, but this whole ordeal has been an absolute nightmare. All for a small leak we just wanted fixed before it became a major issue. I shudder to think what it would have been like if the damage had been more severe. We will not be using this company again and caution anyone that is considering using them to ask themselves if having essentially 4-5 days of work stretched out over nearly 6 months is worth it.

Because of the damage, we were without countertops and a dishwasher and had to rely on a utility sink for an additional two months while everything was repaired and replaced. Our belongings were left scattered throughout different areas of our home instead of being kept organized, making it difficult to locate or access many of our items. Our brand-new appliances were left sitting in our garage and sunroom for an extended period rather than being protected and managed as part of the restoration process. What should have been the beginning of restoring our home instead resulted in additional damage, lengthy delays, and unnecessary stress. Based on our experience, I would not recommend SERVPRO.

I was very impressed with MCN Construction. They promptly responded to my project request for roof…read morepatching on Yelp. They then followed up multiple times when I was a bit slow to respond. After that, they took the time to schedule a free estimate, during which they even caulked some obvious but small holes in my roof, free of charge! Finally they started work three days after completing a very reasonable quote. They showed up early and worked effectively and efficiently to finish the work the same day! They took time to show me exactly what they were doing, and took great pictures and video in case I missed anything. I cannot wait to use MCN again for my next project! (For reference, I chose the shingle color!)
