First they installed LED light bars on the sides of my 2016 RAM 2500 truck and just the other day I had them install cab clearance roof lights which needed 5 holes drilled through the roof of my cab. They did it right. Not only did they install the rubber seal that came with the lights, but used silicone in the holes for added water leakage protection and all at an affordable price! I want to be clear I'm *not* accusing them of stripping the oil plug (that honor belongs to Centereach Goodyear). But the solution they offered to this problem was to replace the oil pan. I specifically asked if they could simply tap it in order to rethread it with a new oil plug. They wouldn't do it. I don't know why this is. That's a perfectly safe procedure, and it's just a matter of running old motor oil through the pan to wash out any metal particles from the tap process. I took it to another shop and they were more than happy to tap and dye the pan. They saved me about $1,000. So, I don't think the shop does bad work and I am absolutely not accusing them of stripping the plug. But, there's absolutely no reason to replace the pan.
