Xtreme Restorations & Construction should be called Xtreme Demolition. Alden the owner/ contractor is a rude, manipulative, and threatening person and he does not like to be asked uncomfortable questions when related to the jobs I hired him for. I hired Xtreme Restorations to tackle several jobs on a mobile home I purchased to remodel and flip in Bozeman. It included but is not limited to a new pitched roof, carpet, flooring, custom chimney, plumbing etc. My mother lives next door and would record when the crews were there and when they were not. I was over charged hours on every job the employees worked, and they were almost always double. I brought it up to Alden and his reply was "To not get an attitude with the man helping you"( I am a paying customer not a buddy) He followed that up by calling me a liar about my concern that I was being charged double the hours his crews worked. He also never got the jobs done in the time we agreed on and never did they clean up after themselves. He did refund me on a plumbing job that legally he should not have even committed to. A few months later the rest of the plumbing failed (last weekend) and sewage went all over the crawl space of the mobile and it took a real renovation team hours to clean and the smell is still so strong my wife refuses to live there until its all resolved. The problem was he sent a man that was not a certified plumber who used illegal parts to construct my plumbing and did not even use glue on the joining piece of pipe. DO NOT HIRE these people for anything. I also paid for a custom chimney in my place and cannot sleep thinking about the fact that everything they did for me was wrong. I am concerned it was done wrong as well and that my house might catch fire. This is all I can think about every night. So winter is here, and my house is not functioning again due to Xtreme Restoration & Constructions work. I will be submitting all my evidence (everything) to the Better Business Bureau and to the appropriate County and State Authorities. read more

This company was hired to do some work on a remodel my husband and I were tackling. Their work was illegal and completely not up to code. We have had to have every project either redone, and/or we also had to spend time and money fixing other issues caused by the companies poor work. The owner, Alden, is rude and condescending. Once we had an issue he immediately started saying he was "helping us" and "doing us a favor" despite us paying him over $10k cash for the various projects. He will not take responsibility. Do not use them. I had them come out and give me an estimate. I was quoted between $6,000 and $7,000. Alden later prepared a bid of $6,980, which I had to sign in order for them to schedule work. I paid half up front and Alden, the owner, asked for another $3,000 after three days on the job. I started seeing things that were not done correctly. I also pointed out damages that the Xtreme crew did. Alden and the rest of the crew said they were finished with the job. They didn't finish anything that was on the contract. They won't return a call or return any of the money. Huge scam. Don't pay them any money up front!!! Do your research and read all reviews!!! read more

We received a recommendation from our realtor for this contractor. He had gotten a bid k. A personal project but thought they presented themselves well. He did not use them. It was difficult to get them to come to Big Sky. They stated there would be a fee to give a bid/quote I did not ask how much (shame on me). They showed up on time and did a good job of looking at the scope of work. I was surprised to get a invoice for $1000 for their time to do the bid (total of 3 hours max with the drive). The real surprise was the bid. It was twice what I expected. Their contract also required 50% down payment. NEVER PT that up front that only means they are not usually capable of funding the supplies needed. You will always be looking for them to get the work done. read more

i had a mixed experience with Xtreme carpet cleaning. I asked for a quote and I explained that I had a dining room, living room, hall and bedroom carpet plus stairs that needed cleaning. I was quoted $100 plus $2 per stair - less than other quotes I received - which is why I chose this company. The tech came just a bit later than scheduled and had trouble with his equipment, so it took a couple of hours longer than expected, but not a big problem and not worth a complaint. The carpet looked nice and dried in a few hours. But I was shocked that my invoice was 60% higher than the quote. Apparently there were charges that hadn't been included. Instead of the $100 that I was quoted, the base rate was $167 - the same as other quotes I had received from other businesses, plus Xtreme charged me a $10 vacuuming fee. If they'd been above board about the charges when I scheduled my appointment, I would have been happy, but next time I will go with someone else more honest about the fee. read more

I had Xtreme come out and clean my carpets upstairs. I would say the price was a good deal! They charge per stair and I feel that my tech could have taken just a bit more time to really clean my (well used) entry. Dry time was reasonable. My tech was pretty dry and didn't seem comfortable dealing with clients, but he got the job done! I will be using them again to finish my other carpets and will see how it goes. read more

After the work was done, the price was about 25% higher than the original quote. The reason: they charge a certain amount per stair, which wasn't included in the original quote. I have used Xtreme Carpet cleaners quite a few times and have always been impressed with their service, price and thoroughness. This last time prompted my review though because my husband was out of town and my children and dog had the stomach flu, leaving 3-4 such gross instances on carpet. I was so exhausted and it stunk so bad I called Alden (the owner) in tears. He literally had someone at my house in 20-25 minutes. The young man was extremely friendly, kind to my kids and tried to do the job quickly because he knew it was hard for me to keep the kids corralled! He cleaned an adjoining room beyond the quote for no charge too. The carpets look amazing and the smell and spots are completely gone. Please think twice about using this carpet cleaning "business". They did a horrible job of cleaning a very small space with minimal stains from normal wear and tear. The carpet actually looked worse after they "cleaned" it. I was charged 75$ for a basic cleaning and another 75$ for each "spot". The spots remained, the carpet was not cleaned, and when the "professionals" were finished, they dumped the dirty water out my front door onto the driveway so it could freeze and create a skating rink for us to park our cars on! I would never recommend this business. I got my neighbors to clean the carpet with their home steam cleaner vacuum and did a 10 times better job than these guys. Horrible service. Hi, my name is Kat, and I am MORE THAN IMPRESSED with Extreme Carpet Cleaning. I have used this service a number of times. The owner always answers the call on the first or second ring and does his own scheduling (so far). I had an urgent request recently, and was sent two excellent technicians who got the pet odors out of my carpet and made it sparkle before guests arrived (another local company refused to deal with pet odors but Extreme got them out!). The service is excellent and the results are above and beyond clean. The staff is well trained and respectful and on time (and if they hadn't been, I know they would have called me to let me know). I called on a Wednesday to make an appointment for the following Monday at 11.30. At 11.50, no one had showed up so I rang to ask if someone is actually showing up. There was no record of my appointment so they texted me to let me know someone would be there at 12.30. I leave to run errands, and when I'm back the invoice is on the counter so I call to see if I could pay over the phone. Once again, there was no record of my appointment so I was unable to pay and was not provided with any information on what to do. Great! As a college kid it seems like they have really good prices. Ease in scheduling. They even texted me to tell me they were on their way to my place. They removed some spots for free for me and got me my whole damage deposit back when I thought it was a lost cause! Really easy to talk to. Great communication! These guys even let me mail in a check when my damage deposit came through (since I didn't have enough cash when I was moving out). Though I was a little weary of their quotes after seeing some of these reviews, they actually quoted me too high on the phone and the technician was honest enough to save me a few bucks even though I told him the high quote. Seem like really honest guys and they got me my damage deposit back.
