First, I want to say that these are the folks who call several times a day with the warning that "Your Google listing needs to be updated or your customers won't be able to reach you". Here's how they operate, after a month or so they tell you that you need a whole new website which will help you and that they can't proceed until that's done. Felt like a scam after Ian told me he'd stay on the line w/ me and the fulfillment dept. and then the sound of him hanging up was like a disappearance you would hear in a movie. The poor fulfillment dept., I wonder how many others have canceled their 'order'. We bought into their citation in November 2017. I was willing to be patient and give the time it took for momentum to build, but I spent 9 months enduring unprofessional behavior, inadequate results, frustrating back and forth and my having to chase down simple requests, and a severe lack of experience. The first account manager they assigned to me either left or was fired, after I sent, what I thought to be, a candid email exposing the long overdue need to get the attention I deserved as a paying customer. "I'm contacting you because I'm frustrated with my account manager. Firstly, I don't want this to reflect negatively on her employment at Xurli. However, I'm sure you can appreciate that, as a paying customer, I expect a certain level of customer service that I'm just not getting. I don't feel taken care. of. Additionally, there have been other requests that I have made in the past that have gone unanswered for weeks on end, only to get an answer when I follow up multiple times, just as in the example in this email chain. I have been in her role as account manager, so I know the multi-tasking and high-clientele juggling that can be involved in her position, which can lead to smaller, less-high-priority tasks to be forgotten. But when this has happened multiple times over the 5 months that we've been assigned to her, it leads me to become increasingly frustrated and warrants a conversation. I'm not asking to change account managers. But I do need the courtesy of being heard and answered in a timely manner. This is basic customer service that has, unfortunately, fallen flat." The subsequent response to this, which continued to require me to call / email to get an answer, was that our account manager no longer worked there and I would hear from my new account manager. It took over a week for me to find out who that was so I could continue corresponding with and obtaining the information I needed. I was also sold on the Smartsite, which I bought into. BIG MISTAKE! I was told that our current site was missing a lot of the backend coding that was needed for Google to detect our site as a legitimate business and that their Smartsite platform would bring us up to code. I, again, paid them a large sum of money to rebuild our site on their servers. Their capabilities were highly limited. My "new" site looked like it was built back in the 1990's. After the first two months of our new site being live, I asked to be sent an analysis of click-through and drop-off rates, bounces, etc. I couldn't believe my ears when I was told that they don't currently have the technology to provide this data. Are you kidding me???!! I hired someone outside of this company to do an SEO analysis and the data showed that this "Smartsite" wasn't set up properly and had no Google tracking codes. This was the final straw. When I called to cancel the service, the woman who picked up the phone said that my account manager was on vacation and she would handle my cancelation when she returned. I wasn't going to wait. But she insisted that my account manager was the only person who had the authority to cancel my account. I said I wasn't going to allow another day to pass without being shown the courtesy of basic customer care that had evaded me for the past 9 months! I was asked to write an email to my account manager, stating the reasons why I wanted to cancel my account. Here's what I wrote: "I am writing to request a complete cancellation of ALL services provided to us by Xurli effective IMMEDIATELY. I have consistently been frustrated and disappointed at the lack of professionalism and expertise bestowed upon me by your company. Here are just a small list of reasons why we no longer want to do business with your company: I have yet to receive an automated report from BOTH cities that we are paying to run, and my constant frustration for a simple report to make it to my inbox each month has come to a head. We bought into your citation program in November 2017. I shouldn't have to keep chasing you down for this. Lack of response and basic customer service from our last account manager who sometimes went WEEKS without responding to emails and messages. I have still never received an item that I paid for at the end of May. And to top it all off, I recently hired someone to run an SEO analytics report on the so called 'SMARTsite'. The results of that report show NO Google analytics tracking codes, proving that the website was NOT set up to the specs I was guaranteed when sold on the service.....". I was told it would take 72 hours for someone to get back to me with a confirmation of my canceled account. I took ONE WEEK for this to happen - but only after I emailed to ask why I hadn't heard from anyone. I just hope that this review is seen by someone at or near the top. I own a design studio in northern New Jersey. Max at Xurli helped me make sure that my business is showing at the top of Google in a very crowded market online. They have a program called "citations" that helps boost the exposure of my listing on Google and on other sites. He made sure keywords, images and business information was consistent on all of my listings on the search engines and maps. In short, Max was a pleasure to work with and their services are great. They even put together a video for me. I get tons of calls for my business and when I ask people where they found me they usually say through my search engine listings. I picked up the phone because it showed a local number. Strike one against a company - using local numbers - in this case 916-527-3089 to try and fool prospect into thinking they're local. Recording comes on saying that my account is in danger of being flagged by Google because something's missing. This is quite obviously not true, my business is ranked on the first page in Google for over 100 different phrases. At this point I knew what type of business this was, but I hung on in order to get the name of the business. I had to ask her to spell it twice as she mumbled. I have a photography business but wasnt 100% sure how to go about online marketing. I signed up for a Google map and for a citation to get up higher on Google. They used my own photos for my Google and the other directories. I dont think people go to the other directories but I have seen my website moving up on the pages. In a sea of photographers I feel like I am finally getting noticed where as before it was crickets. If i ever am confused I can call and there is always somewhere there to help me. read more

They claim to be a Google affiliated company that raises your company's exposure on the web. First they charged me to create a Google+ page which I already had one, and they barely touched it. They they up-sold me to an expensive service that increases your web exposure by submitting your site a number of 26 directories on the web. Actually the only ones that matter are Google and Yahoo but they hang you on for $99/month waiting to be submitted to all "26 directories across the web". They contacted me saying my site wasn't in compliance with Google and it was urgent that they take over the site and make it compliant. This was for another $500, plus the only way they would do it is to take over hosting of my site for another $30 / month. The sales rep used strong-arm tactics to convince me this was necessary to submit my site. As it turns out they weren't goint to take my existing site code and just fix the few compliance issues, the only way they would do it is to write a whole new site from scratch. I didn't need or want a whole new web site created, so I cancelled the order and was able to fix the compliance issues myself in a short time. I was promised a refund by the people at Xurli 2 weeks ago but it was never processed, and finally today I got through to the billing department. She claimed she called me but I have no record of that and she also claimed that it is "their policy" that they don't process refunds without talking to the customer first. I don't like their policies, their sales tactics, and I don't think I've gotten my money's worth for the work they've done. I would be very cautious in dealing with Xurli. read more

Xurli is the biggest joke of a marketing company. After all the setup fees and a few monthly payments I saw absolutely zero results and was only added to a handful of directories with multiple errors in my information, phone number, business name, even address etc. After I asked what was going on, I was told that the website I had wasn't "smart" which wouldn't allow them to perform SEO for me.. why not mention this before you took multiple months of payments? To continue, they said I needed to pay $1500 for a new "smart" website, I said no. They said okay $500 and guaranteed satisfaction. The sample was the worst excuse of a website I'd ever seen. The website I built myself looked 100 times better, despite building it in my free time while building a business and being a single father of a 4 year old. I've been taken advantage of by Xurli and they should never receive another client based on the lack of character and honesty this company represents. I've made 3 cancellation calls since this happened and every month I'm told it's cancelled then charged another $200 at the end of every month. I'll update once I'm finally able to cancel my service. At this point I would like to give them 0 stars. So this company cold calls me about putting my small business on the internet directories. Since I don't seem to have the time to do things like that, I thought it was a good idea. They looked like a real company and all. That was the middle of October of last year. I paid them by credit card $750 and was supposed to pay $169.00 a month for them to work on this. I was supposed to get an account with a log in, be shown what they have done so far and some sort of video within 2 weeks. WRONG AS I NEVER GOT ANYTHING. NO ACCOUNT, NO EMAILS UNTIL MY CREDIT CARD WOULD NOT RUN FOR THEM, NEVER SAW ANY VIDEOS AND I HAVE NO IDEA IF THEY HAVE EVERY DONE ANYTHING THEY SAID THEY WOULD. I have been emailing them since then regularly and have called them many times. They keep on telling me on the phone that it will just be another week or another few weeks and I will hear from someone. It never happens. Recently they quit responding to my emails. This company led me to believe they were affiliated with Google by thanking me for claiming my business listing on Google. They scheduled a time to present something. Missed the scheduled time. I allowed them to schedule again, and they called again after the scheduled time. The third time they called late AGAIN! I heard them out and watched their presentation through join.me and they pitched $899 to boost my listing. Upon questioning them they instantly dropped the price to $400! After telling the man that I needed to think about it, he told me that the reduced price was only good for that moment only. I told him that I don't appreciate being pressured into anything and for all I knew he was someone hiding behind a telephone waiting to go on a shopping spree after I gave him my credit card information. When we asked to part ways and get a refund for no services rendered, they told us it was a non-refundable set up fee. We paid this company thousands and got nothing for it. I believe this company is a scam. I wish I would have checked the Better Business Bureau and reviews before going with them. They say they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee and I've spent over $2,500 and I've got no results at all. To start with, when I contacted the person to help me design my website, she was condescending and made me feel like I was stupid because I had several different businesses I wanted to put all into one website. Because of that experience I did not call back. I continued to make payments and when I finally called a couple of weeks ago to cancel and to request refund the person on the phone told me I had a website and I said no I don't. So I got to checking and sure enough someone had done one for me without any content that I had given them. They probably took someone 10 or 15 minutes. When I call to cancel, also told that person that someone should have let me know there was a website up and that I was on 60 different sites. The thing that's shocking, is if I'm on 60 different sites and I have a website why have I not got one single phone call? I found it interesting that when I call the cancel all of a sudden people are sending me emails and wanting to fix things for me. I finally got a phone call from someone there today because they'd received my request for a refund and they said I was not eligible for any refund at all. I told her how horrible they've been to work with but she would not budge and was horrible. I don't know how a company like this can stay in business and why someone doesn't shut them down. There is only about 6 salons in my town so that isn't a very hard task. The first few months I was still being calls from google asking to update my profile. That was supposed to be Xurli's job... I finally did a video chat to prove I was business. ( I have been in business for over a decade). The first day I was told my rep would call me the next day that never happened it took 5 days and 3 phone calls before anyone every reached out. Now I've been calling Emily from billing for weeks without even a response. I should have looked at some of the reviews online it looks like Xurli is very low customer services and I'm not the only one who's went through this type experience. I was told to wait and give it time in order to see results. How can that be possible when with in that time frame I was canceled? How much work was ever really done for my business or my account? Not much the fact there a 100% satisfactory is also a bs tactics to get your money and zero results. no one returns calls. I'm beyond frustrated. I have never felt so ripped off or scammed. I really hope this reaches the next small business owners in time so you done end up feeling the way I do. Very amateur at best! I will go to the BBB and repot and put the word out everywhere.
