We cannot recommend SRG Hardscapes and Masonry highly enough…read more They built our patio during some truly unbearable summer heat, yet the entire crew remained professional, hardworking, and reliable throughout. They arrived punctually every day, worked incredibly hard despite the conditions, and made a point of cleaning up the worksite properly at the end of each day. A special mention must go to Sergio, who was a first-class project manager from start to finish. He communicated clearly, kept everything moving, paid attention to the details, and made sure the project was completed to a very high standard. The finished patio looks excellent, but just as importantly, the whole experience of working with SRG was positive from beginning to end. Professional, punctual, tidy, hardworking, and extremely well managed. I unreservedly recommend SRG Hardscapes and Masonry to anyone considering a patio, hardscaping, or masonry project.

After deciding that grass is over rated in dry dry Denver, we had our front yard turf removed. SRG…read moreHardscapes then installed an attractive, terraced retaining wall to manage the slope from the house down to the sidewalk. The work was done quickly and efficiently even in this summer's blistering heat. In just three days, the yard went from dirt to beautiful, tiered flagstone walls. The quality of this team's work is excellent. Sergio, the owner, provided a complete written quote that outlined the pertinent details and was supported with AI generated images of the "after" look, which confirmed that we were on the same page regarding the design. Once underway, the job progressed quickly and smoothly. (We're doing the planting, which is in progress.) Would we turn the SRG Hardscaping again should we need stone or brick work in the future? Absolutely.

And I called one other company for a second bid. David showed up in time for our appointment, and his explanation of the problem (80 year old mortar in our brick house was falling out). The previous owner had gotten some of it repaired. That mortar was failing, too. I was particularly concerned because one pillar that carries a heavy load was cracked so badly (see photo) that you could see daylight through it from top to bottom. David explained why it had failed, and how the repair work someone had done years ago made matters worse. His bid that was about the same price as the other firm, but his explanation -- and the bid itself -- were so clear that D. Masonry was my obvious choice. He provided me with proof of insurance, too, a request the other company ignored. They lived up to my high expectations. Watching them work, I realized that tuck pointing is a highly skilled craft, practically an art form. They took the time to mix and try a range of mortar colors. With their help, we selected the one they advised. Now that the new mortar has completely dried, I can see it is a perfect color match. The pillar I was so nervous about? They elaborately jacked up and stabilized things, so they could remove the pillar, which they disassembled completely, laying out all the bricks (with all the old mortar removed), so they could put them back exactly as they were, only sturdy now, and good as new. Masonry repairs -- done well -- simply disappear when the work is done, right? As long as I own this house, my gratitude for this job-well-done will live on.
