They have the only walk in beer cave and a decent selection of craft beers, including from the local brewery. I don't go to a store to make friends so I really don't care if the clerk wants to chit chat. I'm happy if they have a good selection and reasonable prices and I can get in and out quickly. If you live here or didn't stock up before you left the Cities, Walker Bay Spirits is a good option.

Now, if you have read my previous reviews, I am a bit of a snob. So, this is the place to go if you want to imbibe something a little classy (yes, they do have cheap stuff too). Their prices are average at best, but not to worry if it is the only place you can get your favorite bottle or beer. Honestly, check out both stores if you are in Walker. She stated that she thought someone was already helping us. Ummmm, we had no menus or drinks in front of us. She came over with menus and took our drink orders. She stated she would bring kids menus. We waited almost 10 more min, and again, had to approach someone to get these menus. Finally, we got our orders in, we didn't time it but took forever to get our food. The kids were starving at this point, and when the food finally came out, they had messed up one of their meals. The food was okay, but nothing special. We had plenty of leftovers, but it wasn't worth taking it with us. Overall, it took 3 hrs just to eat dinner. None of us will be going back.

I would be giving it a 4 star, but I did buy a pack of beer that was 3 weeks past date. I took it back and they gave me a return. I checked several other beers for the dates and they were out of date as well. I let the people at the counter know this and they seemed concerned. Not concerned enough though to take it off the shelf when I went back two days later. I found the same 3 week past date 6-pack back on the shelf. So my one word of warning would be to check the dates on the beer when you go there.
