Mark did an amazing job with exactly the AV technical equipment and expertise we needed for a large scale watch party. His team delivered with precision and far exceeded our expectations with both a large LED screen and several sets of speakers. Both the sound and visual were exactly what we were looking for. He came ahead of the event for a walk through and evaluated what would work best. Seeing the space, he recommended something that made more sense than what we had originally asked for. The sound was synced perfectly with no delay, even for those seated far from the screen. In fact, no matter where you were physically in the large space the sound was the same--unlike other concerts I've been too where the speakers either blow you away or aren't loud enough depending on where you are. It was loud enough to be immersive without being overpowering. I am in awe of how he did it! He was prepared with all the necessary cords and adapters to have a hard internet connection with WiFi as backup so there was no risk of glitches. I have to be honest... I had mixed feelings about writing this review because Ya-Wave is one of my best kept secret weapons. I am an event producer that specializes in bespoke live & hybrid events with demanding and experienced corporate and social clients. I started working with the owner Mark Vierneza in Feb 2010 when a overseas television network threw me a last minute curveball that my then-preferred AV partner was unable to accommodate. I'll save you the details, but suffice to say, Mark got a frantic call with a lofty, and very specific request for a dryhire rental, oh and I needed a top-shelf audio engineer with live music engineering expertise, as well as had the ability and confidence to do three separate mixes, the house mix, the monitor mix and a completely separate mix that was sent live over satellite to a network that was broadcasting the event to over 50 million households worldwide. All three outputs required different mixes of live music, on-air talent, station ids, live hosts, remote hosts... honestly it was enough work to keep 3 engineers busy. Mark's workflow was flawless and his ability to anticipate director's and talent's needs and his instinct and abiilty to make adjustments to priorities was beyond amazing. And if all that wasn't enough, he was forced to be a relay between the television truck and the satellite truck because they could not connect their comm units and Mark was the only person on show crew that had both headsets. If you're not familiar with what I described, imagine you are playing a game of pictionary over a telephone line, but members of both teams are on separate party lines, so you have to hold both phones to your head while drawing the picture and at the same time you have to tell the party on each line what the other party is shouting into your ears - simultaneously - oh, and while 50 million people were watching. Mark never even broke a sweat. Needless to say, Mark has been my go-to audiovisual vendor for almost 15 years this Februrary. I don't go anywhere without him and when the show is really important, I won't do it without him. We've done corporate theater events, social galas, tradeshow exhibits, sporting events, music concerts, employee engagement programs, experiential events, and consumer brand activations all over the US. His prices are already reasonable, but when compared to the prices of other production companies and engineers of his caliber, he's a steal. Hence the reason I hesitated to write this review. If he starts getting so busy that he's not able to do my projects, it's really going to suck for me. So please understand when I say, please don't book Ya-Wave to do your event. But if the event is really important to you and you need to get it right and you must have someone you can trust, well then go ahead and use him. But if they aren't available when I need them, I'm gonna crash your party instead... just sayin'. :) read more

We engaged Ya-Wave for professional A/V technology set up for our annual award. Our challenge was that we were a non-profit organization with a large number of attendees. Outdoor setup was challenging, but they recommended the most optimum solution and provided the best service and value for the price. For the 2 PM event, their staff (4 people) came at 8 AM and were ready with a setup and production before 1 PM for us to test.
