The place: Beautiful spot, perfect surrounds to sit and have a bite or a glass and soak in some relaxing green hill views, or check out the interesting artwork that decorates inside and out.
The staff: Busy cellar door, so we had a tag-team of staffers serving us our tasting between helping other visitors, but all were nice and friendly.
The wine: A little light-on for me. Found the whites lacking zest and the Pinot Noir's watery. Might just be that those with more refined palates can find some intricacy there that I missed, or that almost every wine we tasted was recommended to put down for to cellar for some time, but they just didn't knock my socks off.
Still worth a visit. read more
