I wasn't too hungry, but wanted a snack and elected to get the Mini Arais and it was unbelievably good. There's 3-4 that come with each order and it was made fresh in front of my eyes, and the service was great. The food came out within minutes. I would also try some falafel from the falafel place across the street and it's the perfect meal. I highly recommend checking them out. Their Arais was one of the best I've had!

A new Turkish place in Playa Del Carmen!…read more I saw this place when someone posted it on FB, and I knew I had to try it. Turkish food is some of my favorite, if not my favorite, in the world. The place is cute with upstairs and downstairs seating. We met Dennis who was super nice and welcoming. I knew not to expect too much, as once you've eaten food in the country of origin, it's hard to be authentic in a different county, just because of the logistics of trying to get the same ingredients. We ordered the dip appetizer and the grilled sampler platter for two. The appetizer was really good. They serve it with garlic bread instead of pita bread, I'm sure because of the difficulty of obtaining the naan. The eggplant was my favorite and the hummus was good. The yogurt dip was good, but a little sweeter than I am used to. The grilled sampler for 2 people could feed 3 or 4! The first thing I tried was the lamb chop. It was to die for!!!!! Then I sampled the 3 other meats and 2 types of chicken. Everything was tasty, but oh that lamb chop. I was very impressed that the chicken was not dry at all and in fact, super moist. The rice and veggies were good too. Then of course they follow up the meal with a Turkish coffee or a tea. I saw someone order the Turkish breakfast, so I will be back to try that next. Don't expect the exact same flavors as Turkey; however, for being in Mexico, I was extremely happy with the food and the service.

We sat down and ordered the food and then noticed a very small sign on the wall saying "no credit cards accepted". We asked if we can pay in US dollars and the waiter said no. I then proceeded to tell him to cancel our order as we didn't have Mexican pesos. Rather than being nice he comes over to confiscate our water bottles we had requested. He took back the unopened one and asked us to pay $2 dollars for the opened one. This felt rude and added insult to injury. You are in a freaking tourist town accept credit cards and US dollars. I realize you are trying to save a few dollars or pesos not accepting credit cards but make it convenient for your customers. I wish I would have read reviews earlier... would never have gone here in the first place!

They are on a delicious pita and served with an amazing garlicy white sauce, red sauce, black sauce and a green sauce. Don't be shy with the sauce, just douse it all over your tacos. The service has been consistently friendly and fast ever since I started eating here in 2019. I was just back last week and had a large order and it came out very fast, hot, delicious and with a smile. It's such a unique restaurant also--having traveled worldwide and lived in large cities such as Manhattan, Houston, London, etc., you don't find something like this. If you're in Cozumel, definitely stop by. It'll be a memorable experience (and the brownies are amazing!)
