My partner and I went this afternoon to get a massage. According to him his massage was great. He asked for a Swedish massage and that's what he got.
My massage, however, was supposed to be "descontracturante" something in the lines of an organic deep tissue. The therapist is supposed to discover the areas that need release. But it was nothing beyond a soft caress. Since it was not helping me, I asked for a deep tissue. Unfortunately the therapist stayed always at the same level. And a certain point I stopped her and I asked her to stop because I didn't see the point.. She claimed I was not giving her a chance and that she was going as hard as she could. I don't doubt that but a good massage is not about pounding hard. She used her fingers for the most part and rarely her body weight. There seemed to be zero knowledge of anatomy or muscle manipulation. It would have been interested to know if she even had been to massage school. She must have been exhausted but it was not a good massage. I gave it two Stars because my partner's massage was good and the place was clean for what I could see (the lights were out.
