We had a girls day out and decided to visit Reminiscent for their candle making class. You can either purchase tickets ahead of time on their website or walk in to the class if there are spots available. It was a very nice experience! The ambiance was chill and relaxing with the whole vibe of the class being 90s R&B and Hip Hop inspired. We were able to pick the glassware for the candle, there is one type included and for a slight up charge you can pick a larger vessel for your candle. The class is relatively simple and Ashley (the awesome owner) will walk you through the process of picking a scent, naming your candle, and then step by step creating your own unique candle. Once the class is completed it takes about an hour and a half for the candle to be ready for pickup. The shop is located in an area with tons of restaurants and other stores so it's a good idea to walk around or grab food while you wait. There is also a shipping option. I would definitely will return for another class!

The second time I went, we made candles, then sang karaoke; we had a blast! On my third visit, we made our candles, but ran out of time and weren't able or engage in other activities unless we paid an additional fee. I made a large order before Christmas. The delivery time was long. When the package was delivered, I went downstairs to grab it and found the box open and empty. I have NEVER had a package stolen or damaged. This is NOT normal for my neighborhood. I immediately emailed the company and they told me that since I did not opt to pay the extra "delivery insurance," there was absolutely NOTHING they can do. I think it's odd that I didn't pay an extra fee for some insurance (on top of a delivery fee) that I've never even heard of before, and then my package arrived open and empty. I wish I could write a positive review about the cute candles photographed on this company's site, but unfortunately I just gave them my money, got ZERO product, and poor / unhelpful customer service.

I was greeted as I walked in the door by Monica, and we chatted about how busy it was because the parking lot was packed! She answered my questions about tax free weekend, and told me about the sales. As I was finishing my shopping trip at the register, I began to feel faint so I asked to sit down for a moment. As I was sitting trying to collect myself, my cashier Riley stayed with me the whole time! She talked with me, reassured me, and brought me water. Monica also came back to check on me. When I was feeling better Riley walked me to the door, to make sure I was alright. I am so grateful for the incredible customer service. Everyone there was so very kind and caring. We were able to select a mix and match half dozen of their mostly local brews, which our lovely shopkeeper was able to put together with transferable can clips into one unit. There appears to be other things for sale in the way of snacks and light lunches, but we didn't pay much attention to them. We knew we would be stuffed with Maryland Blues, chowder and key lime pie that night and were saving our appetites until then. It was cool to buy our night's beverages in a shop that might have been selling grog and heavy ales for the last 250 years!
