I had no idea ! It had been years since I last visited, so I was really excited to go back with my sisters. Staff welcomed us, we got some drinks and had such a fun time sniffing all the endless possibilities we could create. Once we had our fave lists together and sat down to create the scent... I ended up not loving mine. Even with their help and some tweaking, I just wasn't feeling it at all, which was a little disappointing for me. I did end up finding a happy medium in the end.. and honestly I was having such a good time with my family that I didn't let it bother me anyway. BUT when I picked up my candle the next day... I was completely blown away !! The scent had mellowed out and smelled way better than the day before. Like it was basically what I was looking for ! I guess sometimes it's just like that. So if you're not loving what you made... just wait until you pick it up and give it a sniff then. I will definitely be back now that I have my list of favorite smells and cant wait to make another.

I was feeling pretty low about myself, and not very pretty. I thought if I bought some new makeup, I'd feel better about myself. Nope! Didn't work. I walked in. The front door was very heavy, and I was strugglibg to open it, because I'm weak due to my chemo. A bottled red head, all made up, cupie doll sat at the front ready to greet me with a smile. However, it never occurred to her to help me with the door. Once I stumbled in and fixed my headscarf, because my hair is falling out. She greeted me kindly and asked how she may help me? My brain was thinking, "Opening the door would have been helpful" but instead I smiled back, and asked for MAC makeup. She can back with, "Oh sorry hun, we don't sell MAC" I told her that I just read an article in The NY Times where they announced Sephora was now selling MAC" She said, Nope! Sorry hun! Yes, she called a 55 year old women hun. Extremely inappropriate for a girl her age. I do not think hun, baby, doll, any of those types of greeting are appropriate for anyone, at any age. Her smile was obnoxious and she said nothing more after that. She stood there like she expected me to walk away. So I did just that. Turned and walked straight out the door. That was that. No, How about I show you what we have that is comparable? I would have been fine with an alternative option. But the girl was not bright enough to turn it into a sale. She probably even thought she did he job well. So I left, went to Ulta and dropped Over 500.00 there on all new makeup. Not all of it was MAC. But the girls at Ulta were incredible. Helpful, nonjudgmental. They were not made up like Cupie dolls, like in Sephora. They had a more mature, classic look to their makeup. Sephora might be for kids, but I have 6 daughters and 10 granddaughters that will be getting Ulta gift cards from now on, instead of Sephora. What was it, that Julia Roberts said in Pretty Woman. It's a brand new store it's maybe been open two weeks. I wonder if people are not aware they are here but I'm glad they are here. If you been to a Sephora you know what it looks like inside. Prices depends on what you need from inexpensive to high end. After waiting no less then 10 minutes they tell me they can match the price, which was still confusing as it was their own listed sale price. 5 more minutes later - they scan the item to realize that the issue was, it wasn't labeled correctly. The staff was very nice but appeared less than informed on their own store sales. This Bed Bath and Beyond is generally clean and organized but the clearance area was a disaster, can't imagine anyone would walk by it and think I want to look through this. Come in with sales, use your coupons on top of those and you can get some decent deals, otherwise prices are generally higher than necessary. Staff have always been nice and helpful.

I'm not really a "shopper" of BBW (Bath&Body Works) for a myriad of reasons. I'd sometimes go in to pick up stuff for friends for birthday/holidays if that was what they wanted. So why did I come here, for the Fine Fragrance Sprays and instead of having them shipped I could just pick them up. I wanted to go to the Pittsford location but it was not an option online. I found these sprays as were people stating they were like dupes for the real fragrances and most of them are spot on. I ordered these over Easter weekend and they were having a sale. I got one email and was hoping for an email in the late morning telling me I could pick them up. I called in and they graciously picked out my fragrances and had them ready when I picked them up. Originally they stated after 2pm.. not a big deal but I live in the city and I guess they got over 100 orders. The inside is fairly large and the layout is pretty much the same as other locations. It's tidy and well stocked. The one thing that was slightly annoying was after I was greeted (that's fine) the constant asking if I needed help or why was I there. Now I get it I'm sure they have theft issues. I said I was picking up and had my email luckily she got the hint. I was also looking for the ONLY candle I'll get from them Palo Santo when I went to pick up I asked them if they had it. They did and it was in a corner by the door for the back room. Whatever I got it and picked up my other stuff. They ask you if you wanna join to get discounts and things and I was ok about it . When I left the same person saw me and I said thank you. Listen in this day and age there are so, so many places to get products. They have a niche clientele and that's fine. They offer discounts and coupons thru the app/emails and they have well known sales. They have plenty of parking.
