We started off grabbing a funnel cake and then walked around all the pop up shops! We headed over to the kid zone which was a ton of fun they had bounce houses and a few rides along with a petting zoo with goats, bunnies and horses. We did a pony ride and got to pet and feed the animals! Then to end our day we watched the concerts going on and had a blast listening and dancing to the music. That might mean staying home. Bring a hat, sunscreen, fan, and lots of water. Due to the heat, it was not worth it to me. However, I am glad for the celebration. They need water mist fans like previous years.

It is great fun for the whole family. My only complaint is the traffic after. They had all the roads going west (236st street is pretty much the only way west) closed. Traffic wasn't controlled or moving. We finally went far south east to come back west so our 25 minute drive was almost 90 minutes.

The playgrounds are great and seemed pretty inclusive of most age ranges. There's a lot of climbing areas, some more like steps and some ropes and ladders, so they vary the challenge level. This was great for the littles I was with (4-5 yo) and still interesting for older kids I saw playing. Toddlers have their own little playground off to the side. They do have a glider for wheelchair users, but I don't think the rest of the main equipment would be accessible. Maybe the swings for some. There are a lot of mature trees off to one side and at least one picnic table over there. When the trees bloom for the year, it's going to be beautiful! They have a sand volleyball court, paved walking path, and I spotted a few more sports areas--basketball, soccer. There's potentially a lot to do here! Bathrooms were close to the playground and clean. It's close enough to go grab coffee or ice cream after as well, which in my opinion, makes it great for a day of fun. I'll look forward to seeing the park again later this spring/summer!

That was too much boom for me. The young men that checked me out at the register was so helpful, especially with me being a fireworks rookie. They gave me step by step instructions and assisted me with selecting additional items that I needed to have a safe experience. This Phantom location is well stocked and very clean. This was not the closest location to my house, but was the only one that had everything that I wanted. You can view most of the fireworks in their full glory either via their site or you tube. The same deals you get in the store, you can get online. You can order online and set up curb side pick up. Unfortunately the website was not working for me, so I just printed out my cart and went to the store and filled my order myself. It only took me about 5-10 minutes and I was out the door. They have tons of parking available and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Some of the most friendly I have experienced in a long time. I am glad I cam the extra few miles to come to this store. I am very happy with my purchases and cannnot wait until I can light of my pyrotechnics.

There were items that looked like new, some antiques, some clothing, lots of holiday accessories too! I found a small Christmas tree decorated in quilled ornaments. I had to buy one for my wife! They do not run big outlet locations like Goodwill where they dump donations in huge bins for people to root through and damage. You can drop off items behind their store, or in off hours bring them into the store. They so not spend tons of money on fancy TV commercials and fancy stores. Their profits go to directly serve homeless people and those with substance addiction problems. I personally know one of the people they helped to turn their life around. Please make the little extra effort to go to their thrift store which is east of the super Walmart on 96th to shop and donate. Help this small organizarion continue to do good work in our community.

This location is on the same side of the road as the Walmart and in the same plaza as the Petco, Platos, and the Autoparts store. The staff are super nice and there are a lot of volunteers walking around as well. I have found several things that are new with tags (priced accordingly), tons of name-brand goods, and there is rarely that funky thrifted smell that permeates everything you get from the WMS. They have everything from clothes to furniture/household goods to really nice jigsaw puzzles. Everything is super easy to find. Prices here at the Mission Store are a little higher than places like Goodwill, but every purchase supports the Wheeler Mission by providing meals and funding for training to their residents. There are also hand-made candles and other wares that the residents make while staying at Wheeler for purchase. Once while shopping I noticed it was busier than normal and the associate explained that they allow Wheeler residents to come and shop for what they need to get back on their feet. COOL!

I'm always having to make an immediately left or right, which is off-putting. That's how it is here. Anyway, other than the atrocious store layout (and the lighting, if we're being nit-picky), this Goodwill is not unlike any other Goodwill you will visit. It's a thrift store with lots of clothes, frames, kitchen wares, decorations and other things. The thing that I like about this Goodwill is its location: It's down the street from Habitat Restore and a furniture consignment store. So you can hit all three thrifty shops easily.

As I pulled into the parking lot of Yankee Trader Fireworks there was plenty of parking. I observed there was a ramp for people with disabilities. As I entered the store, I was greeted and informed about specials. I was pleased there was a firework store open in November. The manager gave me the Black Friday special before Black Friday. There were multiple isles in the store. I was provided with a shopping cart which rolled smooth and navigated through the isles with ease. I was not sure what I was looking for. I did want to pick up fireworks for New Year's Eve. The manager put a spectacular package together for me. He numbered the fireworks in the order that I need to shoot them off. After I paid for the fireworks, he assisted me out to my vehicle. What a great place to shop! Yankee Trader Fireworks definitely earned their 5 star review! I will be back!! read more

I walked into Yankee Trader Fireworks and was immediately met by the owner, JJ. JJ was really friendly and immediately put me at ease with his knowledge and energy. He REALLY LIKES FIREWORKS!!! JJ asked what kind of show/demonstration I was planning and then took me around the store explaining how the different fireworks worked and what to expect from each one. It was awesome listening to him and I can't wait for the 4th! Yankee Trader has the right fireworks for putting on a tiny show in your backyard or the stuff to do a giant show for the entire neighborhood. The prices are great too.
