This hidden gem is the best kept secret in thrift stores. I seldom shop at thrift stores, I donate often at Goodwill but never get past the donation dock. I have found that most thrift stores are disorganized and often smell musty or moldy. I don't have time to sort through disorganized merchandise and I don't enjoy looking at moldy smelling books and clothing. The Wheeler Mission store has changed my option about thrift shopping. It is very clean and the furniture, clothing, books, kitchen items, etc. are very well organized. There are dozens of pictures displayed on the walls. Even the pictures alone are worth a trip, if you are shopping for wall decor it is likely you will find something you like here. The furniture is nicely displayed and in very good or excellent condition. Today there were many dining tables, couches , dressers, end tables, chairs, coffee tables, and lamps on display. Truly you could completely furnish an entire home or apartment with just one trip to this store. I happened upon this store while I was leaving the nearby Panera, otherwise I never would have known it was here. If you are looking for vintage toys or games, or want to relive your childhood you need your stop by for a visit. There are lots of vinyl albums, vintage cookbooks, board games, puzzles, bicycles and outdoor toys. Highly recommend!

Good to have another thrift store - a bit over priced but still fun to look. Clean store.

It is a huge donation store like Goodwill but has individual pricing instead of pricing by categories.

Thanks to fellow Yelper, Richard P., I found this little thrift store, which is in the basement of…read moreSt. Paul's Episcopal Church. The thrift store is opened to the public and sells mostly clothes (women's, men's and children's ) and shoes, with also a bit of vintage jewelry and women's accessories. I like rummaging through thrift stores and looking for unique vintage items. The volunteer staff is super friendly and helpful. Changing rooms are available to try on clothing. The small shop is well organized. Prices are very reasonable and proceeds benefit the food pantry. Jewelry was marked half price during my visit. I found a stunning artisan necklace, which I regret not buying. The shop is located behind the church and there is plenty of parking. The shop maintains the same hours as the adjacent food pantry, so the hours vary.

Second Treasures will be open about 10 hours a week with a particularly focus on supporting the needs of its Washington Township neighbors. It's patterned after the church's popular Bazaar and Clothing Sale and will support the work of the church's Women's Ministry. A good majority of the items are donated by church members and will be staffed by volunteers from the church. It's located at the North end of Second's Mission Suite (outside the Northside Food Pantry). The thrift store is opening to the public on Tuesday, April 23rd, and will be open on Tuesdays (12-3pm), Wednesdays (3:30-6:30pm), and Saturdays (9:30am-12:30pm). I was pleased with the items available and the prices at which they were marked. Clothing, of course, is quite popular here and there are items for men, women, children, etc. While you won't mistake this non-profit, church-based thrift store for one of the behemoths in terms of selection, this is a really cool idea for a great cause. Today's soft opening/open house was a great chance to get a feel for everything to be offered and how it all will work. Cash and credit cards are accepted. In terms of accessibility, there's plenty of accessible parking and doorways are pretty decent. This is on the first floor and accessibility should not be an issue. 5-stars might be a tad generous given the simplicity of the project, however, I'm always a fan of true non-profit, mission-based efforts and I'm anxious to see this one grow and truly support the Washington Township area.

I was going to purchase a calculator, didn't particularly need it. So when the cashier started huffing at the register and walked away to call a manager (without saying anything to me) I decided not to make my purchase. I had handed her a $20 bill so I told her nevermind and waited for her to hand me my money back. Instead she says she needs to clear the problem with the register. I assume she wasn't understanding that I was not going to purchase the calculator so I explained and asked for my money back. She then replies, "Can't you just wait? He's coming now." Excuse me?!? I changed my mind, no transaction was pending on my end, all she had to do was hand me my money back. She could clear up the issue with the register after I left. The cashier next to her was free the entire time, I could have been handed off to her to finish my purchase but instead this cashier thought it was necessary for me to wait for her to solve her problem as she held my money hostage then had the nerve to comment as if I was the problem.

The store was clean and well organized and they were moving all of the spring and summer clothing near the front of the store when I was in there. I did not look at the other items in the store, I only had time to peruse the women's and men's clothing. I was looking for a particular item and did not find it but I will definitely look here again as I found same really nice, lightly worn, brand name clothing that I purchased. When I went up to checkout there were a few people in line but they added another person to a register and they quickly dispensed with the line.
