If you think getting braces early saves money think again. My son is getting them again at 14 yo after a full round of braces from Yarmosky. Spent $5000 before with Yarmosky and now spending $5000+ again elsewhere . If you like Steve leering and hitting on your wife this is the place for you. No sympathy for child's pain and misleading information on recovery and surgery. If you need assistance for poking wires in the cheek they will gladly address that after the weekend or when available. I had to buy a kit for trimming wires due to the Friday appointments that left my child in pain for the weekend. Go elsewhere! read more

I sadly had to completely edit my original glowing review from 2014, after realizing over the years that this place is nothing more than a money making factory. I had been warned about this from numerous people, however, my son really liked a certain practitioner, so I stuck it out as long as possible. After bringing my children here for 4 years, I have decided to transfer their records elsewhere. Last year, I was pushed to put an expander contraption on my then 3 year old. I was told if I chose not to, I'd be putting him at risk for sleep apnea and other issues. I declined, after consulting with my own dentist, who told me pushing dental interventions on toddlers should be criminal. Fast forward to this year, when the same practitioner gave my son a "gold star" for dental hygiene and noted that his teeth were in perfect shape with no issues. I guess she forgot the routine sales pitch she threw at me the year prior. Their consistent habit of rescheduling appointments is what finally did me in. I arrived at 7:30am for my infant twins' first cleaning. Upon arrival, the receptionist told me they had tried to contact me via snail mail to reschedule, but never heard back. Snail mail? Would it have been so difficult to pick up the phone and contact me? Knowing this was the final straw, I asked for my oldest son's records so I could seek care elsewhere. Not once did the receptionist apologize for the breakdown in communication or the inconvenience this caused. Not once did she (nor the other two receptionists in close proximity) seem to care that I was telling her I would not be returning to the practice with my 3 children. Sadly, their patients that they claim to care so much are really just disposable. From a business standpoint, they just lost 3 patients, all of whom would almost definitely require braces within the next 5-10 years. Shame on this practice for not caring about their patients, especially children that have been with them for years. read more

Just brought my 4 and 7 year old to this dentist. Not a good experience, and we won't be going back. They looked at the seven year old and attempted to sell her braces. Now the 7 year old is afraid of the dentist. Thanks for that. When the 4 year old was in the chair, his appointment was extremely rushed, and they spooked him by speaking loudly in his face. They offered to put sealant on their teeth but said they were too busy to do it today. In the future, please don't schedule more appointments than you can handle. This dentist office reminded me of a used car lot and the dentist was the saleswoman. read more

I wish I could give Zero Stars. That is how awful my experience was at the office in Great Barrington. Do NOT bring your child to this location. My child is completely traumatized by his experiences with Dr. Steve. I was a first time mom so I didn't realize other pediatric dentists would not pin my child down and force him through tears to have his teeth cleaned. My only regret is that I waited as long as I did to find a new dentist. And after speaking with other families in the area, I can assure you that my experience here was not an isolated incident. read more

Yarmosky dentistry was my pediatric dentist as a child, my brothers and then my childrens. Despite the hour drive we were loyal customers and recommended over 10 families in the years that made the switch to Yarmosky. I have two children and bc of my hour drive I book their appointments at the same time. As always, their followups were 6 months in advance. I called months before our summer vacation when I realized their would be a conflict during the time we were away and their 6 month checkups. The receptionist gave me a new date the following month and all seemed fine. Upon returning from our vacation I received a scathing letter in the mail demanding $25 for a no-show for my child and saying we were no longer welcome to make future appointments for our family! One phone call later to investigate bc surely this was a mistake, I discovered the receptionist moved my one child to the new appointment and not my other?!? thus showing up as a no-show for my daughter since we were away.. even though I was VERY clear when I called to move both children's appointments. I was a cash paying upon services client, always showed up and had an over 20 year history with Yarmoskys. My children were devastated to find out they would never see their hygienists they had grown to love. The thousands of dollars I've brought to this group from families near and far and the love and care we felt for so many of the employees here broke our heart. I'm still not sure what happened but to be treated like that showed me they have no idea who their families that patron them really are. I asked for Dr. Yarmosky to phone me so we could figure out what happened but no call ever came. I begrudgingly mailed in my $25 Bullsh*t cancellation fee which felt like a further violation after a mistake that was Clearly made by the receptionist at Yarmosky's and found a new dentist which we absolutely love. Its taken me a long time to write this review - but I don't think there was any other way to let them know how hurt we were. read more

My kids went here for years and I really loved it there until one day Dr.Yarmosky held my daughter down and she was screaming she could not breathe. My Husband asked that he release my daughter and he would not until my Husband kept arguing with him to release her. I was very disappointed and swiftly changed dentists. read more

Ive never been unhappy. My kids always leave happy. The office is appealing for the kids and they have fun playing. They are good at making the kids feel as comfortable as possible and my boys favorite part is they leave with a goodie bag. Both my boys have never been afraid to going to the dentist. Thats a good feeling to a mom! read more
