I hired Thayne…read moreto pour concrete for a back patio, including a stone retaining wall and an epoxy coating on top. While Thayne was initially nice when we first met, my overall experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend hiring him for construction work. I began the project with him in April 2025, and it has yet to be fully completed (May 2026). Throughout the process, I had to initiate contact at every stage, repeatedly asking when he would return to move the project forward or fix issues. After the concrete was poured, there was a large hole at the bottom of the slab (see attached photo). When I brought this to Thayne's attention, he told me that this "just happens with concrete" and said he would build up the dirt and seed the area in winter 2025 to "hide it." I wasn't satisfied with that explanation or solution, but I went along with it. However, the dirt and seeding have still not been done (May 2026). The epoxy coating was then applied, but the work was terrible (photo attached). I ultimately had to hire another contractor to completely redo the epoxy due to the quality of Thayne's work. Additionally, over a period of more than four months, Thayne repeatedly told me he would return to remove large leftover bags of hardened cement, return unused decorative stone that I had purchased, and seed the grass before winter. Between the end of September 2025 and May 2026, I contacted him more than eight times to follow up. Each time, he had a different excuse. For a period of about a month and a half, he did not respond to my texts or calls, and none of that work was completed during that time. He eventually returned the stone and removed the cement at the end of March 2026, but my yard still has not been filled with dirt or seeded. I asked for a partial refund for this unfinished portion of the job, but he has ignored my request and has not responded. I was very disappointed by Thayne's lack of follow-through, professionalism, and the quality of the work he completed. Based on my experience, he is not someone I would recommend hiring for construction work.

Garman construction is a cut above the rest. He is truly devoted to his craft. We hired an outside…read morefirm to install ceiling track in one of our homes. The track install was acceptable, but the finish work was atrocious. I called Matt Garman and he whipped it in to shape. He corrected all the poor finish work by the previous contractor. He was sensitive to the environment and the time table. He went above and beyond for the budget he was given and stayed within the budget. On a second project, it was a complete remodel of a bathroom to make it handicap accessible. He followed all ADA guidelines and again took care to keep a clean and healthy work environment. He used a HEPA filtration system when sanding and doing demo to keep the air clean for the residents. He installed tile flooring and a smooth transition floor for wheel chair access to the shower stall. His work was beautiful. He also built a breezeway, enlarged a closet for wheel chair access, and painted. Mr. Garman I salute you.

Kish Valley Roofing did an outstanding job on my mother's flat garage roof. It had 3 previous…read moreroofs on it (one installed over the last) so they first had to remove all the old layers of roofing. They did it very quick and efficiently. They discovered some rot in the substrate and replaced that at minimal additional cost. All the work was done perfectly and quickly. Attention to detail was amazing. In addition to the garage roof, they noticed a few small issues on the front porch and gutter and fixed them for no cost. I cannot recommend them enough. The area was clean when done, they were polite, and excellent workers. I would highly recommend them...won't find a better place than this to do your roof work.

I had a few Construction co's come and see what could be done about them. As I was getting no feed back about how they could be fixed t be used without taking up half the living room, Havens came up with an idea of how to re do those stairs to be more normal and easier to use. He built every stair and attached and made thee wider. I cant tell you how the whole family loves them.
