She was demeaning and verbally abusive, and that was just for starters. I have worked in healthcare my entire career (30+ years) and have never encountered such incompetence, hostility, and abuse toward patients. I have no idea how she made it through medical school or keeps her license as she is literally seething anger and hate out of every pore. If she gets sued it will be years overdue.

The front desk staff all the way to the doctors were rude, and unprofessional-not only with my mother but with me as well. Today, my mother called to give a fax number so that she could get her referral faxed over for a procedure that is needed and Dr. Patrias was rude to my mother. She asked her "what do you need?" my mother processed to tell her and she told my mother that my mother needed to respect/or be nice to her, because she was the the doctor. It doesn't matter your title. If you are that self absorbed by titles, then that is another problem within itself. I agree with others she is verbally abusive towards patients, angry, demeaning and seems to have the GOD complex.

Dr. Yarrows did not take the time to perform the full physical, even though that was requested, and only was in the room for 10 min. I thought it was just easier than most visits, until I was billed for an office visit and charged a co-pay. The billing company and the clinic both stated that since a physical wasn't performed, the visit was considered an office visit, and that we are responsible for the payment. Not only did I not receive the services that I needed, but we were charged for something completely separate that I didn't ask for. The clinic was not sympathetic to the frustration, would not re-code the visit, and we had to pay the bill.

Although the nurse & doctor were very helpful & professional, the girl at the front desk was rude rude and unpleasant. If this had only happened once, I wouldn't be so inclined to take the time to write this. However, on both visits as well as when speaking to her on the phone, she was short, aloof and acted as if I was bothering her. The person that answers the phone & greets you when you arrive are a direct reflection of the office as a whole.. although, as stated earlier, the nurse and doctor were great, we will be finding another family doctor. Every time I've had an appointment here NONE of my concerns were assuaged - I left feeling like I still had no answers, even when I'd showed up with specific questions/concerns. I felt I had to make 2-3 different appointments to have enough time to push for answers. My doctor was more concerned about pushing the flu shot and whooping cough vaccine, than about my actual present health concerns. I really expected more from a health center affiliated with UMich, but have been left less than impressed. I've found a new doctor elsewhere whom I'm happy to see from now on.

She did end up having strep, had I not requested the test she would have been left untreated. in their defense the only symptom she had was a cough no sore throat or anything and the Dr said he doubted she had it as he didn't see anything that would make him believe she had it. My daughters little friend had it and her only symptom was the cough and that's why I insisted they give her the test, they had shared drinks and everything so I was pretty sure she had it before we went. Great place tho! very friendly and seemed knowledgeable but a little quick to write it off as something else so I'm struggling between 3 and 5 stars

And the physician I saw, Dr. Williams, although not the warmest, cuddliest doctor I've ever seen, answered all of my questions about my injury (fractured distal fibula, not healing super-fast) very thoroughly and to my satisfaction. And I had a LOT of questions! :) If you have UM Premier Care and have a broken bone, I suggest you start here, rather than go to South Main Orthopedics, which is where they try to send everyone initially.
