My business partner and I import auto parts and accessories from Victoria and we visit regularly. Last trip we stayed in Lilydale - two to a room and it was an excellent experience. Be aware that if you find yourself locked out of your room after reception closes you will not be able to contact management to get access to your room. This happened to a guest we met on our stay, we tried to contact management from our room to get him some help but the phone in our room didn't work. When we spoke to the receptionist the following morning his attitude was rather off hand. As far as facilities went - our room had a very high sided spa bath with shower over it. Being only 5 foot tall it was extremely difficult getting in and out of the bath.  I don't know if there was some sort of plumbing fault or just extremely bad design but the bath edges and the bathroom floor were drenched each time we used the shower. There is not enough shelf space in the bathroom and the towel storage rack is also ridiculously high for a shorter person to access. On the up side the bed was comfortable. I will not use this motel again and don't recommend it. read more
