Hugo was great to work with, he was very friendly, clear and communicative from the beginning. We hired Yas Events as our wedding DJ, and for market lighting and photobooth services. Hugo played awesome music that our guests loved and really got the party going at the reception. He also ensured flawless music service at the ceremony and the reception, which was no easy feat as our wedding was at the San Diego Safari Park and he had to move all his equipment between two locations that were far apart. He also made a short highlights video for us at the reception that was awesome, it showed everyone dancing and having a great time. There was a slight mishap with our original requested photobooth the week before our wedding, but he had a comparable replacement for us which worked out well! The market lighting he put up looked amazing and really transformed the reception venue. Their prices are also very reasonable, and Hugo was very understanding when there were delays with our wedding due to a serious illness I was going through. We really appreciate everything Hugo did for us, and would definitely recommend Yas Events! read more

This is a cautionary review to watch out for this guy. He really messed up a holiday celebration for at risk children, SMH I bought 2 snow machines from him. I was not the most familiar with the machines, they were for a holiday event with 2 SD rec centers, he advertised (have screenshots) them as brand new never used. There was liquid in 1 and he said a weird line about it needs oil when it looked like solution. Me not being super familiar trusted him as he opened it. He then said it shouldn't be ran without solution and warned me, since I intended to buy so I obliged. I know the world is messed up and people scam. At the very last moment he said "you know this is as is" and thats when I should have ran, it was so odd a statement at the moment when he said it. He knew he was selling something broken and wanted to clear his evil conscience before he did me dirty. The machine he didnt have show me had rust where it would have been difficult to see because we were indoors when he showed me and I noticed when I got it to the kids and in direct light. Sent him a message and gave me a cockamamie excuse and told me I got a good deal, (for 2 broken machines, THEE AUDACUTY! )Please watch out for this guy. there are many party companies to use and this aint it! When I say this is the best Dj I have ever had, its not an exaggeration. I have attended many parties, with Djs in my lifetime, Quinceañera, weddings, birthday parties etc. you name it. Hugo was our wedding day DJ and apart from the playing music enjoyed by all, he helped direct guest, kept the wedding day timeline running smoothly, was an excellent MC throughout the day and more. We had a destination wedding in San Diego and had been communicating with Hugo via Skype, email and phone. It was very easy to get in touch with Hugo despite the distance. We met Hugo for the first time when he came to our WEDDING REHEARSAL the day before the wedding. This was completely prompted by Hugo himself. The venue was new to him and he wanted to get the ceremony music timing spot on. During rehearsal he took the time to meet family which was awesome. Come the day of the wedding and Hugo is introduced family with a personalized touch because he had taken the time to talk with them. It was a very thoughtful detail. As I mentioned he kept the dance floor going by reading the guests and being a great MC. We had provided a Spotify playlist as inspiration of the type of music we liked. Hugo went beyond the playlist and delivered music we all really enjoyed! My husband really wanted to to play me a song on the keyboard, this was very important to him. Integrating they keyboard was going beyond a DJs duties but Hugo was more than happy to help make my husbands request a possibility. They made it happen! When I spoke to Alex he was very personable, professional and accommodating over the phone. I appreciated his willingness to help and work with our budget. I worked with him and Lila who handles the photo booth details and they were able to customize what I envisioned for the party with less than a week notice. Alex and Lila were always available to answer any questions via phone calls or texts.
