I had been thinking about getting microblading for a while. I normally don't wear makeup, just the…read morenormal lipstick/lipgloss, and sometimes mascara, eyeliner, and fake eyelashes. Therefore, I wanted something natural. Vanessa was very nice and approachable. She answered all the questions I had. Even after the process, whenever I have a question, just texted her, and she will get back to me. Definitely put a girl at ease especially for a first timer getting microblading. Haha The environment is pretty safe. You and her will both require to wear a mask. You will need to wash your hands once your arrived. Definitely COVID precautions enforce. The process of the microblading doesn't hurt. She put anesthesia (numbing cream) on my brows. You will hear sounds from the machine, but no pain. If you ever need more anesthesia, just let her know. The procedure took about 2-3 hours. Very relaxing environment with relaxing music on, so less worry/anxiety. She also gives you a after care package. Make sure to save it for your touch up as well. I already have fairly dark brows (though I still pencil them in every day for years), so I wasn't compelled to get it done; but when my sister got microbladed by Vanessa, her brows looked amazing and she kept recommending Brow Vida to me! When I finally decided to go for it, Vanessa walked me through every step of the way and answered all the questions I had. I showed her photos of my brows first and she recommended the "combo" to me which is microshading with microbladed strokes towards the front. Since I wanted my brows to still look pretty natural and similar to how I draw them every day, she listened to my preferences carefully and assured me that I will get the look that I want. She started by mapping my brows meticulously, making sure I like the shape and everything. She was clear every step of the way, making sure I understood what she's doing. The whole appointment was about 3-4 hours, so I also appreciate her checking in on me throughout the whole process to see if I'm comfortable. It completely changed my appearance in a way I wasn't comfortable with. I reached out respectfully afterward and explained that they were too bold and not what I asked for, especially since this was my first lash experience. I asked if she could accommodate me with a removal or some kind of correction, but I was told I would have to pay again for both the removal and a new set. For $120, I expected better communication and a result closer to the references I provided. If you like very bold/full lash styles, her work may work for you, but if you want a softer wispy cat-eye look, I would be cautious and make sure you discuss it very thoroughly beforehand.
