They kept it in a cooler instead of on the counter which is thoughtful, since a smoothie is best cold and fresh. The employees were friendly. It was not very busy so it took no time at all to run in there and be helped. And it was very clean inside. The smoothie was great, nice and tropically - just as expected. And it is a very generous portion. When you have an account you get points and rewards which is cool - there was an offer when you sign up that you'll get a free smoothie after your first order..but it apparently is only good for a week. So I unfortunately didn't get to use it... but will def keep TSC in mind for next time I want a nice fresh smoothie!

I've been coming to this açaí shop and was disappointed by my recent experience. They have a…read moreloyalty card that clearly states that after buying 10 açaí bowls, you receive one 300 ml açaí for free. The card does not show an expiration date. When I made my purchase, I asked for a sticker to continue using the loyalty card, but I was told that they no longer use that system. I understand that businesses can change their loyalty programs, but if the cards are still being handed out and there is no expiration date or notice that the program has ended, customers should be given some reasonable accommodation for the purchases they were previously making under that program. What was most disappointing was that the employee I spoke with did not seem willing to offer even a small gesture to make up for the discrepancy. It wasn't about getting something for free--it was about honoring what was presented to customers and providing good customer service. I hope management takes a look at this policy and considers honoring existing loyalty cards or at least offering customers a fair alternative when a program is discontinued without an expiration date.

This casual spot looks inviting which is order & pay at the counter with painted murals, a few finished tree stump tables and more table seating in the Best Bagel area (they close up much earlier than Acailand). I stopped by Acailand for an acai bowl. Their touchscreen kiosk was not working properly, but it gave me ideas of topping choices I could add to my bowl. The acai bowls are priced from $13 (small 1-2 people) to $17 (medium) $19 (large 4 people) with up to 8 choices of toppings. I decided on a Small American Classic Acai Bowl ($13 plus tax) which has acai, strawberry, blueberry, granola, honey, and cashews and I customized with additions of mango, kiwi, and coconut flakes. My bowl was made to order quickly and packed up well, over the top with plenty of toppings over the rim of the plastic bowl. I drove down the road to a coffee place and enjoyed my very sweet acai bowl with some black coffee. They essentially made my acai bowl the way I liked it with plenty of fresh fruits, nuts, and honey. I couldn't finish this in one sitting and stuck it in the freezer to enjoy the next day. I would definitely stop by again if I happen to be driving by and need a sweet fruity dessert.
