    Baked goods

This place has been on my radar for a couple of months now. I finally got to check it out today. I feel they have a great menu, complete with smoothie bowls and smoothies plus some salad and breakfast items. They also had some very delicious looking baked goods. I ended up ordering a Kale Caesar salad, the tofu wrap, and a loaf of the rose pistachio cake. The overall feel of the place is cozy, they do have some seating, although it feels a little bit more grab and go because of the size. The Service was also pretty good, there were a few high school age girls working there who seemed very sweet. For parking, plan to grab street parking or park somewhere in a lot nearby, as this café is located on the main road. I plan to visit again as the food was very good and clean!

Great food and gluten free items. Love the tempeh BLT and carrot cake. Quick service especially to go. Not a lot of places to sit.

I was excited to learn about this new plant-based cafe in downtown Melrose. I had the harvest bowl and it was yummy. Highly recommend!

Cute new space. Yummy smoothies! They are still trying to finalize things, but looks to be a great spot going forward!

Early Harvest Diner in Wakefield, MA is a solid neighborhood breakfast spot with a…read moresmall-to-medium-sized dining room and a good amount of seating. They offer regular table seating, counter seats, and booths. The booths, however, are pretty uncomfortable--despite having a cushion, you immediately feel the wooden board underneath when you sit down, which takes away from the experience a bit. We went around 11:00 AM on a Saturday and were seated quickly with no wait, though I can imagine on a busier morning there could be a decent wait time given the diner's size. The menu has a good variety, but pricing can be a little confusing. Some menu prices don't always reflect the final cost due to fluctuating egg prices. There is a sticker noting this, but it's easy to miss and may not be obvious to customers. We ordered the steak and eggs, which came out to $20 and was cooked nicely to a true medium rare. The hash browns weren't overdone and had a great crunch on the outside. The pancake we tried was very fluffy, and their iced coffee was genuinely delicious. We also ordered the Double Double, which also cost $20 and offered a decent portion of food for the price, along with sausage links as a side. They do offer real maple syrup for waffles or pancakes, though it costs extra. One thing I found to be a flaw is that the maple syrup and ketchup on the table had no labels--personally, I like knowing the brand or ingredients of what I'm eating. The same went for the hot sauce they offered; it was served in an unlabeled glass bottle. It tasted very similar to Frank's RedHot and had the same consistency, but it would be nice to know for sure. The staff is kind and attentive when it comes to taking your order and delivering food, but once the plates hit the table, check-ins are minimal. If you need something, you may have to flag someone down. Parking isn't bad since it's located in a plaza, and there's additional parking in the back if the main lot fills up. Overall, Early Harvest Diner is a nice place to grab breakfast with your family or significant other without breaking the bank. The food quality is solid, but the vibe could benefit from a refresh to feel a bit more cozy and modern.

Our waitress was not the most pleasant but the rest of the supporting team were superb so for that reason, I'm not going to hold it against the establishment because all around the rest of our customer service experience was terrific. The food is good diner food. It's a diner so don't expect too much ambience. Just expect to be seated and to enjoy some food. I will say the food also arrived very timely. That's good to make out of. I highly recommend getting the patriot you will not regret it. It is an indulgence, but there's fruit involved so consider that Points for yourself sit down and enjoy really a nice fine. Don't let the outside of the place dissuade you from going on inside pop in and enjoy.

It's the kind of place where the menu feels playful, the drinks feel crafted, and the vibe makes you want to linger longer than you planned. The menu at Yard House leans into comfort food with a creative twist, and the dishes you tried highlight exactly what they do best: big flavors, generous portions, and a balance of familiar and inventive. Hot Honey Chicken & Pancakes -- A standout dish. The chicken is crispy with a satisfying crunch, and the hot honey drizzle adds a sweet heat that ties everything together. The pancakes are fluffy and buttery, making the whole plate feel like brunch and dinner had a delicious collision. Four Cheese Spinach Dip -- Rich, creamy, and indulgent. The blend of cheeses gives it depth, and the spinach keeps it from feeling too heavy. Paired with warm tortilla chips, it's one of those appetizers that disappears fast. Smoked Old Fashioned -- Smooth, aromatic, and beautifully balanced. The smokiness adds a layer of sophistication without overpowering the bourbon. It's the kind of cocktail that feels crafted with intention. Yard House has a signature vibe: energetic without being chaotic, modern without feeling cold. The music sets a fun tone, the lighting is warm, and the open layout makes it feel social and inviting. Whether you're grabbing drinks, having a casual dinner, or settling in for a long conversation, the space adapts to the moment. Service at Yard House tends to be upbeat and attentive, and your experience reflects that. Staff are quick with recommendations, keep drinks refreshed, and check in just enough without hovering. The pacing between courses feels smooth, and the team handles busy hours with confidence. Yard House nails the trifecta: flavorful food, a lively atmosphere, and friendly service. The Hot Honey Chicken & Pancakes and Smoked Old Fashioned are must‑orders, and the Four Cheese Spinach Dip is the perfect warm‑up to the meal. It's a spot that delivers consistency and personality every time.

The menu has lots of options, lots of apps, lots of things, just lots... Too much to choose from so we ordered it all... First off our server, I think Megan, or Monica - something with an M... she was kick ass! I love a good convo with a server where they dont just come off shytty - and she was great! Got a bunch of apps, and not sure if because of the night, because of the weather (it has snowed all week - we cant function here apparently when it snows, LOL) But most of the food wasnt as hot as I would have loved... Either they werent all ready together and they held off on bringing or they keep ready to go & warm as needed, I dont know - but it would have been nice if it was a little hotter... The soup was hot and OMG was it delish... Like good, good! The spinach was delish as well - we just ordered too many things (as usual) will def plan to go back with the hubby so we can try some of the entrees... Get the pretzel - that cheese was delish - just make sure its HOT! Not hot cheese is meh!
