They would not let me out without appearing in person-- and so after they overcharged me for months I flew back to SF to cancel... and their cancellation contract indicates no refunds... Awful!! Service was absolutely horrible and nothing is cleaned. The first bed i was offered visibly had dead skin everywhere but i made them clean it before we continue. while the female employee was bent over, the owner Zach Neugebauer came in and pretended to chat with her but i totally saw him staring at her butt. he walked away but continues to be strange like he was pacing around the place, cussing under his breath while moving furniture like he was on drugs. I don't even know why he was there because he did nothing useful except make me feel unsafe. when i went to the restroom, I overheard him making degrading comments about his female employees complaining about their weight gain which is totally irrelevant to how they preform. how can you hate women when we are your primary customers? even worst, when I slept most of my tan rubbed off all over my sheets, which I was told the tan sinks in after a few hours. I also did not shower until about 36 hours later and when I did my whole tan came off. The only bit of color I still had was the orange in my pores. Also every single scar I had turned orange. BEWARE! I signed up for services in December of 2020 to get a base tan before I went to Mexico. I signed paperwork a month later cancelling those services. Year Round Brown continued to charge my bank account $52.37 until February of 2023!!! On my bank statement their charges are listed as 3RIWTSBT76BL6HP, so there is no possible way that I could identify that they were still charging me for tanning. I brought all of this to their attention and pointed out that I had not used their services once since December of 2020, but they didn't care and insisted on keeping over $1000.00 worth of fraudulent charges. They are con-artists with no business ethics or care for their customers. I WOULD AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. Update: even after spending a ton of time with them on the phone about being fraudulently billed and them saying that my "membership" is now cancelled, they tried to charge me again today for services! I had to cancel my debit card so they would stop trying to steal money from my account. read more

I have been going to YRB for over 15 years and over the years they've become much more pushy on "upgrading", I decided to upgrade to the next level and have only been able to use that bed (that's right, they only have ONE bed for that level) a few times because they've pushed that upgrade so much that there's always a long wait. I spoke to corporate who encouraged me to go to another salon (way out of my way) to have a better chance of getting in to an upgraded bed. I feel if they're going to push their upgrades, they may want to make sure they can accommodate their customers. read more

Very clean. Very professional. The front desk girl was dressed like she was tired and slept in late. No makeup no professional wear. The self tanning booths were large and clean. Very new. Self tanning booths are 25.00 bucks. Well worth it. I didn't turn orange. A nice brown tone. read more

DONT GO THERE STAY AWAY OR GET BURNED This is the worst place to tan and to work. The girls who work there are lazy and rude. Tara the "manager" at their 26th location doesn't even have the balls to tell her employees why they are getting fired and makes up bull shit excuses like "things aren't working out" or "you're too good at your job". I was fired the day before the end of the month and they told me since I wasn't employed until the end of the month I was eligible for my commission or bonus, which was about $500. The people who work there are shady and will screw you over. They don't even care about their employees and that makes the employees not care. They don't clean the rooms or beds correctly, which is disgusting. I would NEVER recommend going there. You'll probably burn in their shitty overpriced beds. read more

Went in wanting to buy minutes to tan only 2 weeks before vacation. Front desk girl told me a membership that I could cancel at any time would be a better option... Not!! I ended up having to pay for an additional month of tanning that I didn't use because I was on vacation and the girl knew this. Very uneducated, misleading and unprofessional people.
