I was not initially scheduled for a cardiac echo during the appt. but because of what I was coming in for, the support staff was able to fit me in to get the echo done prior to the doctor seeing me. Super convenient to not have to go somewhere else to have the echo. The visit with the doctor was probably less than 5 minutes. But I'm 31 and fairly healthy. I'm not expecting for a cardiologist to need to spend a long time talking to me. Read my results. Listened to my heart, wasn't very concerned. Wants to see me in a year to keep an eye on it.

I recently was scheduled for back surgery; however, my "White Coat Syndrome" response as I was wheeled into the operating room caused my blood pressure to spike so high that the surgery could not be performed. I called Dr. Markarian's office and despite her busy schedule, I received an immediate appointment. The alternative medication se prescribed has quickly returned my blood pressure to normal levels. She will now work with me to develop a strategy to address the "White Coat Syndrome" problems that canceled my surgery. Dr. Markarian's staff (particularly her head nurse - John) are superb - communicative, caring, respectful, and highly skilled. My wife and I give Dr. Markarian and her clinic the highest marks. It took nearly six months, to sort out what should have been a routine, correctly-coded preventive…read morevisit. I was told during the visit that the EKG was standard for an annual check-up. It wasn't disclosed that the visit or labs would be billed diagnostically. When I raised this with billing staff, I received several rounds of inconsistent explanations before being told they would not respond to further questions. The office visit balance was eventually waived, without an explanation for the reversal. I then requested my medical records to understand what had actually happened. That alone took over a month and at least 8 follow-up messages, the office resisted electronic delivery, mailed records to the wrong address, and initially refused delivery confirmation. The records I finally received described the visit as a routine check-up with no cardiac symptoms and a normal exam, contradicting how it had been billed. With no cooperation from the office on correcting the coding, I had to resolve the lab billing directly through my insurer, a process that took several more weeks on top of everything above. If you're going in for a routine physical, get in writing upfront what will be billed as preventive versus diagnostic, and keep records of who you speak with.

He identified the culprit as her current high blood pressure medication and changed it immediately. After that, my mom condition improved 100% and she was back doing her daily tasks. He had her do other tests and found she may have attr-cm, but needed a heart biopsy to confirm. He performed the heart biopsy and pathologist did confirm she had the protein in her heart muscle that causes ATTR_CM, something that her former cardiologist did not catch. He then had his staff coordinate the process to have her on Attruby medication. Dr. Banerjee is a true professional, experienced, keeps up with latest medical technologies and pharmaceutical advancements, caring, easy to talk to...we are very fortunate to have him as a cardiologist. They seemed to have a good relationship with each other. Located at Pali Momi Medical Center, Dr. Chang's office was clean and spacious! The staff were very friendly and efficient! The EEG test took about half an hour in one room. We waited in for a bit, had vital signs measured, went to an exam room, then Dr. Chang explained the results. Overall, this was a pleasant experience! Dr. Chang and his staff are knowledgeable, kind, and thorough! We'll be back in four months! Note: parking in the structure is free for the first hour.
