We stopped, took photos and videos, soaked in the view, and moved on. It's not a hidden gem, but it's a solid, effortless stop. What surprised me is that this beautiful waterfall wasn't even on Yelp before my visit. I was the first one to add it to the Yelp map, so now other travelers can finally find it and plan their stop here. A 60-foot waterfall flowing in three gorgeous tiers over ancient lava rock, and it was basically invisible on Yelp -- that felt wrong. If you're driving through Yellowstone on the Grand Loop Road between Mammoth Hot Springs and Tower Junction, this is a mandatory pull-over. The parking area is large, the walk to the viewpoint is just a few steps, and the view is absolutely worth it. Families, solo travelers, road trippers -- everyone can enjoy this without breaking a sweat. Don't skip it just because it looks like a quick stop. Sometimes the best moments are the ones you almost drove past.

Of course we did get to see a lot of wildlife, and some that I would not have seen on my own, like the wolves and mountain goats, but I came away feeling like I not only had a great time , but learned a whole lot at the same time.

When I went to Yellowstone, I saw the elk hanging out at Mammoth Hot Springs. The alpha male elk had a huge rack of horns, and started whacking them against a helpless tree. He seemed to be showing off what a badass he was to all the nearby girl elk, who were swooning over him. The elk buck gave the tree a good thrashing. I got chewed out by a park ranger over a bullhorn for getting out of my rental car to try to get a good photo. The elk of Yellowstone Park are tasty too- be sure to get some Elk jerky at most any gift shop around here, they're even in the burgers. Nom! If you ever wanna see some big racks, head out to Yellowstone.

Island Park Rentals is hands down one of the best ATV rental places you'll find. Even though it's…read morenot located right on the main highway (which is probably why some people miss it), I absolutely recommend coming here. The vehicles are in great condition, and the owner is simply awesome--super flexible with pick-up and drop-off hours, and genuinely cares about making customers happy. For our large group, he even gave us a discount, which made the already affordable prices even cheaper than the other rental shops along the main road. What really stood out was the flexibility and fairness. We were running late, and the weather wasn't ideal, but the owner, Greg, kindly allowed us extra riding time beyond our scheduled return--at no extra cost. On top of that, helmets and goggles were included for free, unlike other places that tack on extra charges for those basics. Honestly, you'd be paying way more for less at other places. Renting here is a no-brainer if you want the best deal, great service, and an owner who truly looks out for his customers. Highly, highly recommended!
