I'm so late with my review but this was a fun outting for the wife and baby. Getting into the parking lot was a little awkward though.

Since my mixtape up on the SoundCloud never went viral, running off and joining the circus was always my other other back up if things didn't work out in the white collar world and I needed to liquidate all assets and move to a non-extradition country. So this was an opportunity to see how the other half live without excel pivot tables, people copy/pasting AI slop in every e-mail I see, and miscellaneous whatnot. I could not find any information on parking before heading over. I would have liked more information on that on the Circus Vasquez webpage. I assumed it would get figured out on site. Coming in hot off of the 45 exit at Tidwell you need to immediately go right into the gravel lot with the circus sign. There was an attendant directing cars to empty spots and it turned out that you did not need to pay for parking after all, sweet. It was a short walk to the box office on the opposite side of the big top from the parking lot. One famiglia was in front of me at the box office so it moved quick. The young lady at the box office checked me in on the yelp list and I had my ticket post haste. Doors opened at the big top about 6:40 and the seating attendant showed me to my seat in the fifth row. The seating attendant taking possession of your physical ticket and your mandatory escort to your seat was the exact same set up as I experienced in Mexico City a few weeks ago during the cartel violence outbreak when my crowd wanted to visit a lucha libre night-out with Mexican wrestling near Roma Norte. I guess that was intentional to use the same system here. The show itself had some insane human feats. The performers were very impressive. You either like juggling and a guy balancing on his head, or you do not. Great show all around. This is the magick of Yelp to get to check this unique piece of Houston out on the arm. I never would have heard of this event without Yelp putting this on the elite calendar. My one complaint is the seat was very uncomfortable. Made even more uncomfortable on a thin rigid piece of plastic with the unruly (and poorly parented) child behind me kicking my seat the entire show. At times like that I wish I was back in Japan with properly behaved children that have been properly parented. I am choosing not to take this specific gripe out on the star rating in this review. Huge thanks to Jando, his team in Houston, and official Yelp for organizing this Yelp elite night out to see and be seen at the Vasquez famiglia's newest venture in Houston, Flip Circus. Many thanks to the Vasquez family and the Flip Circus crew for inviting us in as treasured guests and letting us check out the show.

Spent Mother's Day eve at Flip Circus, with the young gentleman who blessed me with the title "Mother". My womb creation and I had such a fun time. The performers were talented, energetic, and kept the crowd entertained the whole show. The atmosphere felt family-friendly and exciting, and the lighting and music made it even better. Extra deets: It was light rain when walking in the tent. Collect out ticket from Will call (separate trailer), the tent was small yet spacious. Every seat was a great seat. The A/C blows as fast as Forest Gump runs. In other words, bring a jacket. Cotton candy is huge $10. ( felt like the price was steep, Houston rodeo prices. He Didn't complete it. My son still enjoy this sticky cotton treat). Parking Free. It was nice meeting Yelp elite Judy O & her plus one! I also appreciate experiences like this because I give my time, gas, and honest feedback to support local entertainment and community events. Definitely a nice way to spend the evening and make memories with the one who calls me Mama. Our last circus visit was the "Greatest Show on Earth" a Ringing Bro's circus, which was a decade ago. Which was the same year they announced the end of elephants involvement in any circus's.

May all your days be circus days! Circus Vasquez grounds has been around for a while & Grateful to Jando, Yelp Houston, Flip Circus for the opportunity to set all eyes "on the center of the ring, for the circus..." The parking is simple, the staff is friendly and the concessions and merch is plenty. Once seated tue anticipation was met with music, entrainment and just a well directed and detail focused production met my inner child with the acrobatics, the music, the humor. & they even had a segment with Gene Kelley's own "Singing in the Rain!" My musical film lover heart was rejoicing. Always enjoy live performances like this and recommend it as a solo, group or date experience to let your inner child enjoy even for a short while. They'll only be at the Circo Vasquez grounds until May 28 and then at Almeda until June 3rd. Be sure to check them out!

Recently relocating to Texas, being a Yelp Elite has been wonderful in helping me explore incredible things Houston has to offer, like Flip Circus. My date and I had a great time at Flip Circus last night. The check-in process to pick up our tickets was easy and smooth at the box office. To our surprise, our seats were fantastic. We were only 3 rows away from the stage, providing us with an excellent view but I suspect that no matter your seats are, the tent's intimate design will give everyone a nice clear view of the stage. The show was thoroughly entertaining from beginning to end, featuring a diverse range of talents. They even had a captivating magic segment that totally tickled my mind. There's also a lot of interaction with viewers so be prepared if you sit in the front rows. =) I really love and appreciate that this company refrains from any form of animal exploitation, as they don't employ any animals in their performances. Thank you so much for this Flip Circus and for the opportunity to experience your show! Also, thank you Jando and Yelp Houston for organizing another wonderful event like this!!

I was immediately excited because I haven't been to the circus since I was a kid. The acrobatics were really impressive and the clown was strange and peculiar but funny lol. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars because where were the animals? My inner child was excited and showed up thinking I would get the full circus experience. I should've read the description better lol. I was upset lol. Overall we had a good time and had great seats. Now why was the popcorn $12 yeah little expensive. But we didn't pay for parking for it lessened the blow. Fun overall experience looking forward to more Yelp events. Now I need to go to the zoo and see the animals.

How have I never been to a Flip Circus??? I was very pleasantly surprised and thoroughly entertained by this Flip Circus. Many thanks and heartfelt gratitude to Jando, Yelp Houston, and the Flip Circus team for this wonderful event. We left with big smiles on our faces! I went to the one in Houston located off I45 just north of the 610 North Loop, not too far out from the city. The parking was on a gravel lot. I showed up 15 minutes before showtime and there was still plenty of parking with parking attendants to help despite the stormy weather. Then I walked over to the box office, gave them my name, got my ticket and walked straight in. They had ushers to point us to our seats and the rest was history. The weather was terrible on a Saturday evening, but even with the winds and rain, not a single leak in the tent during the show in the main venue. I was very impressed by how structurally sound everything was. The show was very well done - high level professional stunts, excellent magic show, and good pacing with a touch of comic relief here and there by some clowns who got the audience to participate in a lot of their routines. The first half of the show lasted about an hour, and after a 15 minutes intermission, there was another 45 min or so of acrobatics and more magic. And throughout, the Flip Circus band/orchestra was awesome!! I would highly recommend watching a Flip Circus if it comes to your area. Trust me!

I had a great time at Flip Circus event! It felt so nostalgic as I haven't been to a circus event since I was a child. Parking was super easy to navigate. The performances were really incredible to watch. I've been tuning into AGT for the past couple of years, so it felt like I was in the crowd audience for one of their talent shows. The performers were very talented and entertaining. There was plenty of crowd participation moments too. I'm personally glad I was able to avoid being sprayed with water lol. Very grateful for Yelp having this opportunity!

Such a fun and different yelp event. I am so glad when I see other Houston happenings on yelp as I likely never would have come across this otherwise. So fun for all ages. Had us laughing and in shock the entire time!

Wow! Thank you yelp and Flip Circus for a super entertaining evening and impressive performances. I have not been to a circus since I was a child, but I remember driving by the ginormous tent with the giant mirrored elephant and thinking "I didn't think circuses were still around" I'm so pleased that yelp gave me an opportunity to check out this venue and I was very impressed with the caliber of the performers and how lively and entertaining the whole experience was. The set up was unique and I really appreciated that all the seats offered a great view of the stage. Thanks again for this wonderful experience!

We had a lot of fun. We enjoyed it and it had us sweating watching some of the daring acts. We liked the variety. Other flip circuses had mentioned a contortionist, so that is one thing we wish we could have seen. I'm glad there aren't any animals in this circus and the interactive bits were fun. I would maybe put a disclaimer somewhere that you may get wet, which I may have missed. All the little kiddos also seemed enraptured for the full event, which is something hard to manage, so kudos flip circus! The snacks were good and pretty on par in pricing and quality to the movie theater.

An amazing experience and I'm glad that Yelp Houston and the Vasquez Brothers let us enjoy such a great show! The performers were talented and I was entertained the whole entire time!

Get ready for some fun, comedy, and some amazing performances! I haven't been to carnivals in years, so thank you to Yelp and Flip Circus for collaborating! I got two free tickets and wanted a third. Thankfully, it was no issue as when I went to the box office 20 minutes before the performance, I was able to purchase an additional ticket, and we were all seated together. When we got to our seats, they weren't working properly, so we were escorted closer to the front to watch the performance, which was very kind of them. The area was much smaller than I thought, but the performers did a great job of engaging the audience and interacting with them that you forget about the size. They integrate the stunts with short comedy skits, and you get to know the characters in the skits throughout the performance. The crew also did a fantastic job setting up the props, and they did so quickly that there was never a lull between the acts. I really enjoy the Flip Circus. I was a bit skeptical at first, since I hadn't been to a circus performance since I was a child, but I am now very glad I went. Perfect for a date night, with family, or even by yourself! Thank you Yelp and Flip Circus for this experience!

We got to the entrance of Mala market and checked in with Jando. We had to wait till they opened at 11am, but I got the chance to chat with some of the ladies I'd never met before. Jas was also there to greet us and we headed in right on time. The market was so quaint and cute and I was eager to check it out after the class. The studio was on the third floor and the class was quite full. We made space for everyone and got down to it. Jas showed us varying techniques and really called us in to set our intention for the class. Although I'm not a yogi, I did enjoy the class as it was challenging. Jas is a great instructor and I look forward to supporting her by attending a few more of her classes. While not explicitly branded as a Black History Month event, I really appreciate all the work Jando, B and Yelp Houston have done this month to bring forth Black owned businesses. I had a conversation with Jando last year around this time regarding this issue and the fact that a whole year later, while not going into all the details about our conversation, he listened, shared the reality of the situation with me, and still made sure we had good representation this year. This is an example of a CM who is really about it!!! Thank you Jas, Mala Market, Jando, and Yelp Houston for a great weekend event!

Really savored the signature beef pho at one of Stetsi Food Hall's newest offerings, HÚP Noodle Bar. The beef broth was so homey and soothing. Generously filled with noodles, beef meatballs and thinly sliced ribeye flank, it was perfect for a chilly PHOBruary night in Houston. Love how the name "HUP," means "slurp" in Vietnamese. This really reflects the dining experience as you enjoy your generous bowl of pho. The broth is simmered overnight which really infuses the warmth into the flavor. Add some bean sprouts, fresh basil and a squeeze of lime. Perfection!! Thank you to Chef Cuong and the incredible staff at HUP Noodle Bar for a delicious treat. Jando and Chef did a great job of sharing a bit of history and background. I was surprised to learn it takes as much as 28 hours to perfect this beef pho. It makes sense because the broth runs deep with flavor. Food- was yum! Starting with the starter the Shrimp Chai Go (sp) and the Banh Kat. Both were such a great way to start, super hot and tasty! The beef Pho, wow a huge portion, I was not expecting. Loved my take away the following night. And decided to deservingly tip this business generouly for there time and effort. The vibes were definitely vibing for sure. I loved the DJ with Naija beats. And the dress of cocktail hour instead of casual. Most folks were busy at the bar for the first half of the night. So I got a chance to really observe the asethetic. Great choices of fabrics, wallpaper, paint, dinning room pieces etc. With nice deep purple velvet fabrics in there dinning area. And the black marble at some of tables. It's giving a lux day or night lounge. Which may be the eventual next direction? It would be a nice event space for a private party or birthday party. The drinks, I really didn't get into until the end of the night. It was packed and slow going. The long wait time wasn't really worth the drinks by the time I got them, but that's ok. They were large batched. But I know the bartenders were doing there best. Don't know if they were prepared enough for the crowd that enjoys cocktails so much?? I got the mocktail and the side car. Which I know people complained of being too sour. But I liked it, and also enjoy sour drinks. The food was passed in waves, and the typical feeding frenzy. I decided to take my time, and only focused on what I could get my hands on at the time. The suya, jollaf rice, and corn. All were great. But the most important part was owner Ben and his speech. He told us about his loved one Rhay which the restaurant is named after. I also have never seen an owner open up for Q&A after there speech. And he did answer questions. We tried the suya kabobs that came with the jollof rice, suya street tacos, and ordered some more of the firehouse wings. Service was great even with the Yelp event going on. Unfortunately, I had more things I didn't like about this experience than things I did. I didn't like I had to pay for parking. I know this isn't the gyms doing but it still sucks to have to pay for parking to workout. Walking in I was greeted with lots of energy and smiles. After getting checked in by the staff I was given a quick run through of how the class will be. And I do mean quick, from all the information given all I could remember was "you'll be at station 11". Once we were allowed in the classroom, the loud music started. I personally like having the music loud when working out but not when the instruction is yelling what items we need for the workout. The classroom had multiple stations set up, I would say too many. When getting equipment or moving to the treadmills it was congested. I was constantly saying, excuse me, pardon me? can I get by. Once the class started the instructor turned to music up even louder while speaking into the microphone headset. The micro microphone wasn't the best quality as his voice came out distorted over the speakers. I found myself looking to other people that have been there before to copy what they were doing. I didn't feel bad as I saw I wasn't the only that looked lost. The excuses we did were very basic and reminded me of the old lady on channel 8 (PBS) that would workout in a chair. Once the class was over you have the option of getting a juice from their juice bar. I felt the prices were a bit high but I can see you're paying for the convenience. I'm grateful for the experience but I won't be signing up for a membership here.

Chef Chris is successful in his own right. But he wants to create space for other small black business vendors at this market. And is a prime example of real community uplifting. There is space for all to succeed. I receive his message loud and clear. I was grateful to purchase some of the Shea butter Radiant Aura Essentials, and plan to purchase the candles with Ambrosia & Nector. I enjoyed talking to all of the vendors learning more about each business and how it came about. Thank you Yelp, for such a thoughtful and wonderful curated experience. Shop local yall, you never know what gems you will find.

Rado Market is bigger than it looks and I appreciated Jando encouraging us to walk around to explore the building. There's nothing worse, than getting home from an event to realize you didn't see everything. I enjoyed all of the food and wine that I sampled. I had the Oxtail Sliders, the Chicken and Waffles, and the Collard Green Mac and Cheese. The mac and cheese was my favorite! I tasted the Jerk Chicken Wing and it was good, but a bit spicy. I was able to try a few wine samples including the cabernet, rosé, and the sauvignon blanc. It was really nice to walk around and talk to the various vendors in the market. I loved hearing the back stories of the businesses and their passion for what they do. I really enjoyed my conversation with Karis (Ambrosia and Nectar) and J. Christina (Radiant Aura Essentials). I purchased a diffuser from Ambrosia and Nectar, a bottle of cabernet from Rado Market, and some body butter from Radiant Aura Essentials. I sampled some of the body butter and the scent stayed on me for the rest of the evening! It was so great to hear from Chef Chris Williams about the market and the history of El Dorado Ballroom. He has done a lot for the community and he continues to do great things with his businesses including his non-profit foundation (Lucille's 1913). I admittedly wasn't familiar with Rado Market before this event, but now that I am, I will definitely be back for brunch and to purchase more local goods. Thank you Jando, Yelp HTX, all of the small business owners, Chef Chris, and Rado Market employees for a fun and informative evening!

Somebody give that girl some MILK!!!!…read more Thank you Jando and the Elite team for orchestrating with Lagos Buka and owner Toyin, for such a AMAZING LAGOS NIGERIAN experience!!!! Nigerian food first timers will defiantly Enjoy!!!! Being a mother of a Nigerian Prince isn't always easy, but it's always worth it. Just like Lagos Buka. Everything and I do mean EVERYTHING was beautifully presented. I love the presentation of each dish. I love how Toyin brought Lagos Nigeria to Katy Tx. The pepper soup which was goat meat was very tender, and full of flavor it was not unbearable spicy either, mines had a tad kick of spice but nothing that made my nose run. Lagos Buka offer 3 different style of Jollaf rice!! I love every style of rice! You can't go wrong with none of them. The fried rice with the shrimp, fish, crawfish tails, was one of my favorites, but the spicy had a girl nose on the runs. But it was so darn good, I couldn't stop eating. I'm so blessed that they had milk on deck!!! My absolute favorite was the puff puff!!!!!! I had puff puff before, but nothing like this... Lagos Buka Puff Puff is SO AMAZING, it's better than any damn beignets from the greatest place in NOLA... (don't argue with me, argue with your mama). The puff puff from Lagos Buka have a new name from me. I call it the Naija Beignet. Idk if it's the cinnamon or the powder sugar, but baby promise me that you'll never change a damn thing about the PUFF PUFF'S AKA the Naija Beignet. It was so good, I don't think I took a photo of it... I wanted to share it with my son, I couldn't hold on to them, I ate all three. I love the size as well. They are perfect sized, textured, and flavored. They will also be a hit for breakfast like donut holes. I really like the fish , with the pretty eggplant toppings, I'm glad it was served fillet, not sure if it's offered this way, or if it was just for the event. And server whole. I'm a fillet lady, so this was perfecto for me. My very first time indulging in eggplant, and it was very pleasant. The liver was fried perfectly, and had some heat that had me sipping on my milk, other bet to differ. Maybe I had a portion that caught the pebble of spice. Perfect Plantain, was great from texture, flavor, and presentation. (this is coming from a girl who is not a plantain lady. I ate everything that was on my Plantain plate. The drinks were amazing as well, Full of flavor, and it was selling out!!!!! I love they frozen drinks, pure heaven. I look forward to taking that trip back to Lagos Buka.

I don't eat Nigerian food often so this was a treat. We were fed for sure. We also got to learn so much about Nigerian cuisines and culture. My favorite was the peri peri chicken and coconut rice. Packed with so much flavors and a good amount of spice. The fu fu was something new I have never heard of. Quite interesting taste but I enjoyed it. Shrimp dodo and the goat meat pepper soup were also delish. I enjoy getting to try new cuisines. The puff puff for desserts sealed the meal. I could eat a dozen easily. Chewy yet soft and melts in your mouth. They did a great job serving the food and Toyin explained to us everything we were about to try. A lovely event on a Sunday afternoon. Thank you to Jando, Toyin and the team at Lagos for hosting and organizing!

What a fun event! Despite the cold rainy weather, there was a great turn out of Elites dressed in…read moretheir best pink outfits. I was happy to finally wear a dress that I've had for over a year. When I first arrived, it was a bit hard to get a drink at the bar, but once we were split into groups, it was better. I enjoyed The Kelly; it was cucumber forward and very refreshing. I also tried the Mezcal cocktail (Ladies in Pink). It wasn't bad, but I'm not a huge Mezcal gal. I wanted to try something different since I tend to go for the same types of drinks. The decor was beautiful and definitely the biggest draw to Postscript. GM, Timothy said the main demographic is women, and it is apparent on their socials as well as their Yelp page. I thought the portraits of Princess Diana and Princess Grace of Monaco breaking through the frames were really cool. I meant to ask Timothy if The Kelly cocktail is named after Grace Kelly, but I didn't get a chance to. The photo ops all around the restaurant were a nice touch. I was in the second group and I ended up towards the back of the line. A few of us had to wait on plates as they kept running out. I didn't get an opportunity to take photos of the food before everyone filled their plates. The biggest thing that I have to mention is the fact that people were taking extra servings of food, despite Timothy asking people to only take one serving. There's always going to be vultures at events, but it's not a good look and frankly it's disrespectful. I did not get to try the Chicken and Hummus and initially the Truffle Flatbread (more on that in a second). I passed on the shrimp since I don't eat shellfish. The food was good, but it wasn't the highlight. I did enjoy the "Deviled Egg" High Tea bite. The Vegan Sandwich was a bit heavy on dill. The slider was good but the ratio of bun to meat was a bit off. At any rate, I'm always grateful for the light bites. Timothy made the rounds to each table and took the time to hear our feedback. When he asked us how we liked the food, we explained that most of us at the table didn't get to try the Truffle Flatbread. Timothy went to the kitchen and asked the chef to make one for our table. We really appreciated that! Timothy also gave us so much background on the restaurant from the pink quartz bar, to the tilted mirrors in the "speakeasy" (private room), the fine china in the bar area, and the champagne booth buttons. He really has gone above and beyond to create a beautiful atmosphere. He has regular customers and said that ladies come for all sorts of occasions like birthdays, bachelorette parties, and even divorce parties! I would love to come back for high tea with my girlfriends. A huge thank you has to go out to GM, Timothy for going above and beyond for us! And of course thank you Jando, Yelp HTX, and the Postscript staff for graciously hosting us!

Tim, the owner was really nice. He gave us all personalized attention and explained his menu. Something not on the menu but you should know is that the place offers exclusive High Tea experience on Thursday and Friday from 11 to 4. Perfect setting. From outside the place looks deceptively small, when u enter, a whole arena opens up. There is a huge bar, with lots of seating all around. Then there is the dining hall, and a little private setting as well. Tim also mentioned that he has hosted a wedding party , I can definitely see it. It can't get more romantic than this..... The bar tenders were the busiest. They needed more of them for a crowd like ours. But a very agile and helpful crew was in and out of kitchens filling, refilling and clearing up as well. Very efficient. I was glad they had atleast 1 vegan dish which I got to binge on. The food was very conveniently placed on plenty different tables so people could move freely around. Menu was hand picked and bite sized so it was easy to eat. It was presented pretty well. Thank you Yelp and Postscript. It was a fun evening.
