Green Table is this place that serves exclusively vegetarian/gluten-free versions of your favorite foods like Pizza, Mac n Cheese. It's more interesting at this event since you could blind taste test things you wouldn't expect. One looked like a cracker and the next thing you know-boom- it's a veggie burger. So onto the favorite foods. There's this Coconut goat cheese pizza that I personally enjoyed, which was light yet full of flavor. There's the Matcha mint/cacao balls that worked as a good dessert, which the chocolate one is super delicious and has a good amount of 85% cacao. There were other foods but I think I'll be back for the Pizza and chocolate matcha balls. The big bonus is how compatible a lot of their foods are with the Keto diet because of the high fiber content, coconut oil (lots of good unsaturated fats) and generally more keto friendly food than Silvergreens. This was the most fun and informative yelp event I have ever attended. We got to roll bagels, boil…read morebagels, and then bake them into delicious crusty chewy bagels. I was surprised to learn that Yetz's Bagels owner Daniel Dunietz perfected the recipe through trial and error and an unshaken resolve to bring good bagels to Santa Barbara. Dough was mixed and proofed the night before, so the yeasts had time to make the magic happen. The rolling process was fun, but requires months, even years of practice to perfect the motion in order to get a perfectly shaped bagel in a few seconds. The rolled bagels rested on the wooden boards for a final proof before being boiled in water. The boiled bagels were laid out on traditional burlap covered bagel boards, got a generous sprinkle of toppings, then the bagel along with the board were placed in a hot oven. This allowed the bagels to rise on all sides. Daniel explained that this step is important, but often gets omitted in mass produced bagels. Finally, the bagels were flipped to remove the bagel boards, and the bagels got more time in the oven to finish baking. Of course, all of us had to try a hot bagel with cream cheese on the spot. You can't get anymore fresh than this. Thank you Jara, Imo, Daniel, Carlos, and the rest of the Yetz's staff for creating this memorable event.

We were provided the dough and given a demonstration on how to roll the dough and make the bagels. We made bagels of all sizes; mini bagels, thick bagels, thin bagels, etc. after they were proofed (a step in baking that involves letting yeast dough rest and rise before baking), they were placed in boiling water for less than 2 minutes, then baked for 20-25 minutes. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Bagels! Freshly made! By me/us! And they also looked like bagels! I am ecstatic! This fun eventful evening kicked off at the Saint Remy rooftop. Who knew this amazing part of the hotel existed! I surely didn't. The servers were so kind to greet us and we began with a refreshing piña colada drink called "Airplane Mode". This definitely gave me the feeling of being on a tropical vacation. The charcuterie board and Mezze board was such a beautiful presentation. Loaded with meats, veggies, cheese, fruit, olives, warm pita bread and dips. It truly was the perfect noshing food to match the variety of drinks we got to try. The margarita shooters consisted of sweet, spicy and classic. All of them were perfectly made and enjoyable. The balsamic glazed seasonal vegetables were also delicious. The veggies had a nice grilled flavor and the balsamic vinaigrette gave it a nice tangy kick. I also got to try the chimichurri steak bites. Although the meat was a little chewy and tough for me, but the flavor was there. Overall a beautiful event on the rooftop of Saint Remy. I couldn't make up my mind with the drinks, so I purchased the Laid Back on my own. If a drink has cucumber, then I'm a sucker for trying it lol. Made with gin, aloe vera, cucumber, mint, lime, and a pinch of smoked salt. A very refreshing drink it was! For appetizers, we had chicken wings, Brussel sprouts, and carnitas tacos. I'm so happy for all my Yelp friends who won awards as well, and a special shoutout to my friend Dolores, who I've known before she joined Yelp. Dolores had already been supporting local businesses and truly represents what it is to be a part of this community. I had such a great time, as always getting to spend time with my Yelp friends is always amazing! The food was delicious, and so were the drinks. My favorite drink was Bad & Boujee. I got an iced Brown Sugar Coffee Latte. I ordered it at a 75% sweetness level, which turned out to be perfect. Believe it or not it was actually my first time trying an iced latte. I've had ice blended drinks before, of course, but until now I was a stranger to iced coffee drinks. They just didn't appeal to me. But forget that noise. That Brown Sugar Coffee Latte hit just right. Soooo refreshing. I was really surprised how much I liked that latte. From the first sip I was like, aw yeahhh! I could definitely see myself stopping by for one of these all Summer long. The mochi donuts and croissants were good too. I got the Biscoff versions of each. So tasty! Even though when I visited Gobble Up it was only about an hour before dinner time, I decided to order a Korean Corndog anyway. Yeah, I attended this event sans wife, and ordering a corndog an hour before dinner is the kind of high quality decisions I make when I'm left unsupervised. NGL, it did kinda ruin my appetite for dinner, but I regret nothing. Nothing! I got an Original (all beef hot dog), coated in Hot Cheetos. That dog was so freaking good, I couldn't even believe it. I was like what the hell? Why am I just finding out about these things? They had a much wider selection of drinks and pastries than I was expecting - and they spoiled us with our choice of drink, croissant, AND mochinut. As I said... SPOILED. Their Taro Milk Tea was sweet with that thicker creaminess that comes with sweeter drinks. Great taro flavor. LOVED their mochi nuts (aka mochi donut) - the cookies and cream donut had that perfect chewy flavor with just the right amount of sweetness from the toppings. While the croissants were good, I'd get the mochi donut over the croissants any day. We also ended up buying one of their rice hotdogs - you can choose to have a hotdog or cheese inside as well as what you want it dipped in. Their original potato hotdog was delish - great crunchy outside. I think I would've liked the cheese stuffing better but had to start with a hotdog... cheese next time! The office is beautiful, clean and bright. I was obsessed with the cool lights that lead you down the hall to the treatment rooms... very "Star Wars"esque. Loved it! Everyone was so nice and efficient. I was in and out in 20 minutes but definitely didn't feel like I was being rushed or that I wasn't in a very professional place with well-trained technicians. This is NOT the "get some Botox in the back of a nail salon" place! These ladies are experts (I only saw ladies working there - love!). Just a fantastic experience and I couldn't be happier with the results. I highly, highly recommend you get here STAT!
