Wow, I absolutely love this place. I've never taken a Zumba class before but once I started coming here, I got hooked. Yenis is enthusiastic and energetic, you can really tell that she cares about Zumba and loves to dance. I've been to about 10 classes so far (she offers a 10 class card for $50 plus one class free). What I like so much about the classes is that she brings in new music and dance moves but also plays some of the same songs during each session so you're able to get the hang of the dance moves. I took classes here this past summer. I've done Zumba before, but I had never gone to a place that pretty much did Zumba exclusively. Like many reviewers state, Yenis is an awesome instructor. I love her routines. For the most part, every month, there is a different routine. Therefore, you have a sense of what to expect and work on. Once the month ends, you move on to a new routine and series of songs. Within the routines she does some muscle work, which is also nice. The 6pm(ish) courses are really packed. If you don't like crowds, I say go to the 7pm(ish) courses. They're nowhere near as crowded. Yenis definitely has a following, which is nice. She's super friendly and has great energy. However, I'd like to mention one of the other instructors. Over the summer, I REALLY loved going to Mimi's classes. She has a ton of energy and I also loved her routines. She would incorporate some kickboxing/punching moves, along with some good muscle work (burpees, push-ups). However, she would do this in a fun, manageable way. It always made me sad that more people didn't take her classes. I always looked forward to them:) Both Yenis and Mimi incorporate great music and teach using the mic, which makes following along a lot easier. My only complaint was that there wasn't a short-term contract available when I signed up. I was only around for two months, but I either had to pay for a three-month membership or pay $12 per class. read more

What an awesome place to be after a long and stressful day of work. I live in Daly City and Yenis' studio happens to be only 10 minutes away from where I live. If not for the location of Yenis' studio, I would most likely have to travel to somewhere in San Francisco for some Zumba, which I truly dread and hate because of the congestion of the city. But lo and behold, there is a little secret studio tucked away in the vibrant neighborhood of San Bruno City. What I love about Yenis is that she genuinely loves to dance and teach. Her class is not hard, but by no means does it mean her class is easy. I often leave the studio drenched in sweat and I'm considered pretty active. Yes, it does get crowded from time to time but that's only because she's really good. You'll find students from all walks of life, of different ages, sizes, and shapes. It's a warm environment where everyone shares one simple goal - to have fun (which is also a requirement of Yenis) Last but not least, the price to take her class is super cheap. $12 for walk in, $50 bucks a month for up to 8 classes, or $65 bucks a month for unlimited zumba. My friend convinced me to try a class, so I paid the $20 drop in rate and enjoyed it so much that I signed up for 6 months! I love coming to these classes, time just flies! Yenis is a great instructor always smiling and giving us pointers. Love that I can use my little weights to work on my arm muscle and at the end we get some ab work in. A complete work out! Totally worth my time and $. Its an awesome deal if you sign up for 6 months. I love that the studio is super clean, definitely a huge plus! read more

I work in South San Francisco and drive home to Hayward. By the time I get home, most group exercise classes are halfway done, or over. I needed to work out and wanted to burn off some steam/calories, so I searched on Yelp for zumba classes near my work site. Yenis was one of the few zumba studios in the area, so I dropped by after work. It was hard to find as the studio is not labeled properly and the windows have brown paper covering them. However you can hear the music inside of the building, so I walked towards the loudest music. I was greeted so warmly by a woman that was bundled up in the biggest coat, and she helped me purchase a 10-class card. Little did I know it was Yenis! She is so kind and apologized for being sick. I instantly knew I was in the right place. I came back the following week and started my zumba sessions at this studio and absolutely love it. The moves are fast, but Yenis helps you to challenge your body and she does not lie that her classes are neither easy nor hard. It's an even bigger plus that the others in the class are very accommodating and there for the same purpose I am: To work out and have fun! read more

I walked in here and paid the $12 fee and will NEVER come back! Like sardines packed up in that small studio - too crowded. I got hit once and I hit this lady next to me twice by accident because it was way too crowded! This ought to be illegal and should have max capacity of 20-25. read more

This review is long overdue. I very rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so for Yenis as she changed my life. When I first started I had been struggling with my weight. I had tried running and dieting but it didn't work. After starting Zumba and eating reasonably. Not dieting, I lost 40 lbs. I have been at the studio for a year and a half and still loving every session I attend. Yenis is motivating and caring. Her routines are well choreographed so you can get the most out of each session. The studio is well kept and there is lots of parking in the back. Come join the fun, you won't regret it! If you like Latin music this is a place for you. Bring your own mat if you have one. At the end of the class there is some floor time doing yoga and Pilates moves. If you don't bring your own mat no worries they are some thin ones for you to use but you have to clean it before you leave. Very nice instructor. $15 for drop in. read more
