Dakota or the far northeast part of Wyoming at the ideal place for needing a pit stop. The name shouldn't fool you, because there's more than coffee at this truck-stop/convenience store, but that does seem to be a focus. Whether it's a pour your own, or pick it up from Caribou, this fuel stop can get you, or keep you, caffeinated. Also, there's a deli, souvenirs, and your everyday convenience store items, but with places to sit down inside or outside. The people are friendly, the service is spot-on, and you can be in and out in whatever amount of time you want. It's a sinclair gas station, also, so even if you aren't looking to fill your hunger, maybe your car might need it before you hit the road in whatever direction it might take you.

I really like this truck stop a lot because it has a great fuel reward program, it has a Caribou Coffee, and a Heidi's Brooklyn deli inside. With that being said all of the staff were friendly and trying to make the situation better for what it was. I'm in great smiles to say that Caribou coffee did an excellent job to make my iced coffee perfect with no complaints. The gal was so very kind to give me a great recommendation and offer me treats in the refrigerator case, so that's a plus!! I'm also very happy to give kudos to Heidi's Brooklyn Deli they had a very large selection of amazingly premade food. salads, sandwiches, wraps. They also had such a great selection of fresh baked breads and cookies. So all in all, this still is a really great place for me to stop and take a break because it has everything that is essential and important to me. They just need to get their act together clean up the nasty bathrooms.

It was late Friday afternoon in Deadwood and my car would not start. I opened the hood to check…read morethe battery connections. The connections were secure but I discovered that in addition to the electric fault the water pump was leaking. I called South Side Service and explained my predicament. Pat told me that if I could get the car to him he would look at it. I was able to push start the car and drive to his shop. Pat called around to locate a water pump and starter without success. There were no parts available. Not even in Rapid City. We drove the car up onto the hoist and Pat agreed to look at it Saturday. Pat called me Saturday morning and stated that he got the starter working by striking with a hammer to free the brushes. Not a permanent 'fix', but it started the car. Bravo! He was able to stop the water pump leak with a bottle of radiator stop leak. Another temporary 'fix' but good enough for me to try returning to Minneapolis. I stopped at the Chevy dealer in Rapid City to inquire about parts availability. The dealer also stated that there were no parts in the entire region.
