I had to go to urgent care instead, where I quickly received antibiotics that helped me get better Her physical checkups are also extremely superficial and provide little to no value in terms of understanding my overall health. I saw his front desk girl named Jennifer was kinda rude and impatient on the phone talked to the patient when my first day walked into the office. So I was very careful talking to her. Last month, after seeing dr Wu, I forgot to ask him to apply an ab ultrasound, so l called the office and spoke with Jennifer on the next day. She said I need to make another appointment to see dr Wu in order to get the ultrasound. But it takes long time to see dr Wu so she said I can do phone appointment. I know they don't want to do it for free, so I made a phone appointment a week later. After the phone appointment. I explained my situation with dr Wu, he gave me an ab ultrasound so I went 2 weeks ago. When I went to the place, the nurse told me the ultrasound I have is only for the lower ab. she suggested to ask dr to write another latter for me to do upper and too. So I called the office and talked to Jennifer and told her what nurse said. Jennifer told me I need to make another appointment again! I was very frustrated and asked her please ask dr since I am one of his old patients. She said: I am not his old patient at this office! She was very cold and no mercy and not kind at all! I decided to switch my family dr to another has very good reputation next day. When I went last week, they had a full house patient in the lobby, but the front desk lady and all other employees were all very friendly and patient. I was really impressed and glad my decision to switch the dr. I feel sorry for dr Wu didn't train his front desk person to be friendly, nice and professional. I guess lot dr they are busy, they might know how to take care of their patients, but forgot their employees specifically the front desk need to take extra care to the patient too since they work as a whole team.

They are also woefully outdated when it comes to technology. Who still uses fax and letters for updates. Aren't everything digital? It is 2024, not 2000. You have to call them to get any type of update but at the same time they are too busy to help you. Maybe you won't be so busy if you use modern technology or have some type of app to communicate. The nurse and aids also talk about your case loudly in the front office. Never heard of HIPAA? He may be fine for regular meds but he won't be able to help you if you have any serious illness.

This office is very busy and sometimes there is definitely a wait but the nurses and Dr Teng does provide excellent service. Their phone line sometimes are busy for half an hour and I can't get through to make an appointment. The office is very clean and Dr Teng is a very nice and patient focused doctor. I have never seen him raise his voice or get upset, super patient in answering all your questions and give you what you need, especially referrals to specialty doctors. My aunt had an eye problem and she got referred to one of the best at USC University medical center. Note this office is currently not accepting new patients as I was trying to refer one of my friends but she was turned down.

The consult is free to get started. I need a biopsy to check a lesion on my forehead for cancer. I will update this after I see the doctor, but when calling other offices the person answering the phone either didn't know what a biopsy was or how someone could know they needed one without seeing the doctor first and paying the way too expensive consult fee. Venus asked if I had seen another doctor first to know I needed a biopsy. The answer is yes, but she was intelligent enough to ask. So far, couldn't be more pleased with this office. If you are a cash customer, like me, then this is a good place to start. I wish more doctor's offices could be this good when you first contact them. Update: Very accommodating doctor, Dr. Yatar. Excellent receptionist, Venus. They will work with you if you are smart enough to know what you might need or want. I went in for a skin consultation. It is free, so you and the doctor can decide what is best before you get trapped into paying for anything or nothing. Best place that I have found if you are a cash paying customer and need to watch out for unanticipated up charges. They spent time checking with the lab to let me know what to expect in lab fees. They could not have done more or been nicer in helping me out with a skin lesion on my forehead that might be cancerous. It would be hard to find a better office to go to for what I was looking for. Doctor explained everything perfectly and acted in my best interest. That is what I look for, beside not getting overcharged. This is the only office I found that doesn't play the "see you first and bill you AFTER, for whatever it comes out to, WITHOUT telling you up front what to expect" GAME almost every other doctor's office does to hide the high cost of health care in the United States. What a shame more offices aren't like this one!
