Do not recommend. In my family's experience, medications were prescribed and continued far longer than they ever should have been, with little transparency about risks or long-term consequences. Only after consulting other doctors did we realize how inappropriate the situation was. Watching a loved one deal with the aftermath has been extremely difficult and could have been avoided with proper care and oversight. Patients trust doctors to act responsibly and communicate honestly. That did not happen here. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere for care. read more

Mediocre, rude, and inept staff. Uncaring and aloof Dr. Wu during time of urgency. My retired parents were patients at Dr. Wu's office. Adequate medical care was received until my 90 y.o. father became bed ridden. Dr. Wu was on vacation, so I asked the office manager for information regarding IHSS and retirement homes. The manager and staff are completely ignorant, uninformed, and rude. They took the IHSS application that I brought and promised to forward it to the doctor. 2 weeks later after the dr. returned, there was no update on the IHSS form (only takes a few minutes to fill out my father's medical status). I called Dr. Wu's emergency phone number several times and he did not call back until I messaged possible medical board disciplinary action. He chuckled and said he'll sign the death certificate. My father passed away the next day. He was already under hospice care that I initiated so we didn't have to deal with Dr. Wu anymore. My mother was switched to another medical office immediately. THERE ARE MANY BETTER MEDICAL OFFICES IN THIS AREA. Don't choose Dr. Wu's office if you value your family's health and lives. read more

WTF?!! Let's post an honest review here. I made an appt for 12:30pm. Clinic called asking if I can come in earlier at 12pm. I said ok and arrived at 12:02pm. I have been a patient of Dr. Jack Wu and Dr. Angela Cherlin since 2014. I work as a nurse and work with doctors on a daily basis. Both doctors are courteous, professional, and do not rush my appointment. The office staff is kind. Often, I have to be squeezed in or make an appointment last minute and they try their best to accommodate since I work 12 hour shifts and it is hard to make an office visit except on my days off. I am excited for them to move to another newer building as the building they are currently in has bad parking and is not renovated so it will be great to see them when they move to the brand new office! The office staff is good about calling me back as well regarding insurance related referrals or letting me know a follow up result, which I am very thankful for as some other offices can forget about their patients in their hectic schedules. They do very well with following up! Which is important because I imagine if you have abnormal tests or results you would want to them to make that a priority so you could get appropriate care or follow up as needed. I do my annual physicals with the doctors and usually only come for something like evaluation if I have a horrible lingering cough that has been around for 1-2 weeks. The doctors will prescribe antibiotics if it is appropriate. My husband usually visits for the same reasons. The wait time could be improved as my appointment times sometimes stretch out to 30-1 hour waits. I understand some other patients may have many questions and both doctors are nice enough to answer them thoroughly. I often cannot complain about the wait time as they have squeezed me in several times when I desperately needed to see the Dr! Overall great doctors! :) read more

She is not let me to explain my problem health. Every time I am try to talk about my health issues she doesn't want to listen to it. And she will run away very quickly. If there is zero star, I will definitely not choose one star. Their front desk customer service is worse than worst. Not even mention the out-of-date office environment and medical equipments. Doctors are very busy so they cannot pay too much attention on individual patient though I don't doubt their professional capabilities. But support staff are far away from industry standard. They are of slow motion and always in bad attitude. They will find thousands of reasons to refuse to help you, which made more difficult to communicate with doctors. Maybe capability of doctor is important, but a professional front desk/customer service is also critical for patients. read more

This review is for both Dr. Angela and Dr. Wu. I have been seeing doctor Wu for the last 13 years since I was 10. He is one of the best doctors in the Rowland heights, and Diamond bar area. Not only is doctor Wu very caring, he always values his patients and is willing to work with them when it comes to any kind of accommodations. He is perfect if you are looking for a general doctor or family doctor. They also take insurance. Doctor Angela is also a very caring doctor. Not only is she very honest, she also looks out for her patient's financial needs. I don't mind seeing either of them on any given day and think that they are both extremely qualified and excellent physicians that others should model themselves after. Will be coming for years on end, even when my kids are born. read more

I love her, she is very straight up person. She is not the type of trying not to offend people. If you are offended easily, she is not for you. But for me i love doctor like this. I don't come here very often, probably 5 time for last 2 years. There are Dr. Wu and Dr Angela P at this clinic. Dr Wu is OK but Dr. Angela is terrible. She is in hurry, and very impatient with questions. She would roll her eyes on questions. Kind of smart ass attitude. I'd feel terrible and stupid, and wonder why I waste my money on this clinic. If you have to go to this clinic, make sure you get Dr. Wu instead of Dr. Angela. But Dr Wu is always booked. I always wanted to see Dr Wu but I was only able to see him once because he is so busy. If I get to see Dr Wu every time, I might have different opinion about this clinic. Oh, one more thing, if you are going for preventive checkup, make sure you tell the front desk not to charge copay, because they will if you don't tell them. read more

I took my mom to see Dr Wu. I absolutely loved Dr Wu and staff. He is knowledgeable, he actually listens to his patients and he was very attentive. All of my concerns with my mom were addressed. Doctor Angela saw my grandmother and immediately referred us to GI clinic without charging Medi/Medi because she said there was nothing she could do for my grandmother without all of her records and medications. Good ethical doctor and will update once we have updated our information and received a full examination from her. read more

This is to review the experience I had with JACK XIPU WU back in either first or second quarter of 2016. I finally found my time to write this review. I found Jack Wu on yelp with 4 5 star reviews, and he happens to be in network (I have a policy with Blue Shield Cover California ). I called immediately and I was very unfortunate to squeeze in his schedule the next day. When I got there next day morning, there was no one else waiting. He stepped in the room with great smile and he did seem very nice. I asked him if my insurance covers the annual physical check up. He paused for a big second and went out. He then came back in again and said my policy does cover but not 100% so I would be responsible for hundreds ( he didn't give me an exact amount). He then immediately said " well I can drop it down to $280 "; I took his offer. He then gave me the prescription for the lab and sent me to the counter. I paid the $280 without being given a receipt. I went back in again for the receipt. The Chinese lady at counter said with the discount they would not issue an invoice; I thought it had something to do with tax, so I just left. After two weeks later, I bumped into my insurance agent and happened to talk about this. That was when I learnt what Jack Wu office did was an insurance fraud; he should not have double charged insurance company and patient. I tried to peacefully communicated with their billing ( A Chinese lady with strong Cantonese accent); she denied it and was not willing to refund me the charge. I had to get my credit card company as well as my insurance company involved ( 3 way calls ) to get the $280 back. I did get my money back but it was a long process with lots of calls. It was definitely not a pleasant experience. I would highly suggest to stay away from this doctor. He and his office members are not very honest. read more

Dr. Wu is my parents' primary care physician. My parents are both over 65 and have Blue Shield and Medicare insurance. They are very comfortable discussing their symptoms and illness with Dr. Wu. He has great bedside manner and gives patients enough exam time. read more

The Doctors here are awesome - very patient, kind, and genuinely concerned about helping you! And for once they are there to help the low income and non English speaking minorities and not all about charging fees to make buck. Staff is okay some are nice, some seem like they have bad days and treat you like another number at the DMV. read more
