He came over the very next day to look at the lawn and understand the scope of the project. We had our lawn rebate application approved by WaterSmart and had very specific requirements to qualify for the rebate. He took good notes and came back with a competitive quote that met all the requirements for the program. He laid out timelines, scope, requirements very clearly and delivered exactly how he said he would. When he needed input from us he would ask us (like which stone color we preferred, which mulch color etc). They handled the entire project from start to finish -- removing all the old turf, hauling away debris, and grading the soil to prepare the area for planting. They installed a drought-tolerant landscape that included new irrigation, mulch, and a variety of California-friendly plants, plus one ornamental tree to meet rebate requirements. The crew also helped with final cleanup and made sure everything was ready for the SoCal WaterSmart rebate inspection. If we have future projects, he would be my first call. For the 2nd visit in March 2026, unfortunately the company did not meet the same standard. We communicated via the same number, so they were aware of that we were interested in the same work as before last year (weed removing, trimming of tree shrub) This time, a different employee (H.H.), performed the work. He trimmed the trees and shrubs a bit more quickly than Francisco did, which was not an issue in itself. However, he didn't remove the overgrown roots, but rather just trimmed them, which caused the plants to grow back much faster than before. He also didn't apply any weed killer. After we paid via Zelle, we noticed that our 24-hr security sign had been snapped in half and left on the same spot it was planted. No shrubs were around that area. The employee didn't mention to us at all, but when we asked him what happened, he initially said he didn't know. Only after we saw pictures showing that the sign was intact, he apologized. Additionally, another blue security sign next to our AT&T fiber box was missing. The sign had been in place for months and was clearly visible from the driveway since the shrubs didn't fully cover it. The worker claimed he never saw it. We understand accidents can happen, but the lack of communication and transparency is unfortunate. We are likely moving on to another company.
